Certainly Not Worth A Monthly Subscription

Pathetic. Unfortunately one cannot purchase to own, subscription metronome is a big cringe.

Premature Launch

As much as I want to like this, it crashes on iPad and iPhone. I was hoping this latest update would fix it which sadly it has not. Not sure how you tested this out, but it’s very disappointing.

Crashing

I do hope that after they fix the crashing, we will get another week free trial to experience the wonder of GrooveClixMetronome.

Crashes Constantly

Switching between the grooves in the Grove Library causes GrooveClixMetronome to crash. I want to like GrooveClixMetronome , but I can’t play it!

Sub clix

Attempting to select sub clix crashes GrooveClixMetronome consistently. Hopefully a fix is in progress. Running on latest update and iPhone 15 pro max.

Needs a Patch

Absolute game-changer and totally great concept. Continually crashing on iOS17+ though. Unusable at this point in time (“_)

Would love this if it didn’t crash

Was excited to see this and try however it crashes almost every time you do anything. Especially changing the libraries. Needs some serious QA and patches as it’s unusable currently.

Constant Crashes

I’m sorry, GrooveClixMetronome is infested with bugs and crashes constantly. Even after the update it still crashing. Great idea but GrooveClixMetronome just can’t stick landing.

Great for pads but won’t work with headphones

Every time i try to use headphones it just runs visually but silently. Not exactly doable for acoustic kit practice. Hopefully this link works out

Great ideas. However…

Lots of great ideas here. Potentially a great tool. But not usable right now. Constantly crashes in iOS 17. Please fix this.

NEEDS WORK!

Sneak Peek set of sounds and grooves is inspirational. At a jam I wanted to Bluetooth to a Rotel sound system with a Bluetooth receiver. All other apps except Grooveclix transmitted to the device. I thought downloading the latest version of the Grooveclix app would fix the problem, but it did not. Very frustrating after subscribing and purchasing and doing everything asked of a customer, which I rarely do. Giving a black eye to Weckle and Oliver for the either or heartfelt paid hype about GrooveClixMetronome . Way too many “not available” dead ends after too much time has passed!🫤😤
Oh and, when I downloaded GrooveClixMetronome update, It lost all my saved user customs!😰

F the subscription model!!!

All I can say is “a SUBSCRIPTION based metronome”?! F THAT. Sorry, that’s going too far. I would have purchased for a reasonable price, but a subscription model and too many reviews of instability and crashing means NO THANKS.
VERY disappointing, and frankly just so greedy. Subscription based software is taking over the arts community and I’m not doing it. F Photoshop, and F THIS.

Output volume too soft

Output on phone app is far to low. With deep ear buds I can’t hear sounds over drum kit. I probably won’t purchase because of that. With my other metronome apps I don’t have to turn them up past 60percent. Too bad because I definitely love the groove feel

I love the app but there is a very real volume issue.

I’ve been using this as my “go to” app ever since it came out. I LOVE it. Every once in awhile it would randomly be very quiet and I’d have to reconnect/reload and it would most of the time fix the issue. Now with the latest update it makes it too quiet to use anymore with no remedy. I’ve tried cranking the EQ, and of course the volumes are all the way up on both the click and groove. Hopefully they remedy it soon because I’m gonna miss it a lot in my current workflow. It might be some sort of bluetooth issue because the volume seems fine on my ipad. And yes, I’ve made sure the bluetooth speaker volume is all the way up…

Good but needs improvement

As a musician and also a developer, I can certainly appreciate the efforts that have gone into making GrooveClixMetronome. Good job! I’ve encountered a few issues: - Count Off doesn’t work correctly when you’re not in 4/4 - get a tutorial screen every load ie I’m forced to watch a tutorial Suggestions: - use a sans serif font. Use a consistent font and design throughout GrooveClixMetronome (eg Settings looks like it belongs in a different app and clearly was an afterthought when making GrooveClixMetronome ) - consider a perpetual license in addition to the subscriptions, even if it’s just a basic version. Some users will get more value from a perpetual license because a subscription license is not useful in many cases.

Edit: thanks for the reply. The issue I have with countoff is that it does not honour the set time signature. It always counts off the same number of beats which inevitably means the count off is not synced with the click track when it starts. I encourage you to test this yourself.
Also as a side note I have removed GrooveClixMetronome as the size is unnecessarily large, nearly 2gb which I think can be optimized a lot (it’s a click track in the background, I don’t think it needs to be cinema quality…)

Super buggy. And too expensive

Some good potential here. I want to like it. But. It’s supposed to have a 7 day trial but I’m locked out from everything but the basic click after less than a day. 🤷 And it seems so greedy. $36 per year? And then even MORE for the packs? Also for all its great features it doesn’t have a gap click. So you’re relying on it for time and not developing internal time as much. I would be happy to buy this for a decent fixed price but the cost is scaring me away. Guys I think you’d actually make more money with a reasonable one-time price.

Needs an update

The current functions work great but the sneak peek stuff needs to become fully functional, with new sneak peek stuff added. GrooveClixMetronome is looking a little stagnant.

Constant crashes

Constant crashes on both iPhone and iPad

Pricing Structure

Thank you for creating such a useful tool for sharpening ones time keeping skills!

Absolutely no metronome app out there like it to date. I tried it for the first week for free, and then decided that it was definitely worth paying even monthly to access it. Frankly, compared to some of the best ‘paid’ (one time purchase ) Metronome apps, I rationalized my way into thinking it was worth paying monthly for what you had to offer. …

However, after having access to everything during the one week free trial, and then finding out that one feature I enjoyed, the Mega Diddle feature, was an additional 12.99 on top of the monthly Pro Subscription rate! Very charitably I ask, “Who does this!?” Please consider either including these features in a one-time fee for the entire app, or make GrooveClixMetronome free and charge for each of the individual modules, but please not both.

Awesome practice tool!

Love it! Can’t wait until we can enter chord changes for a repeating number of measures. Great work Jay!

Go crazy over this App a new mind opener! A+

Speechless have to work with a little after watching tutorials grabbed my musical attention so fast after seeing the Ad for got to messing forgot I have to go to work! Wow creative as heck!

GrooveClix

I was having an issue with tempo change, but what happened, I accidentally clicked on tempo lab, here’s the awesome response!

HI T-Bone Looks like you have accidentally engaged the Tempo Lab! In the lower left corner of the main interface there's a bar with four icons on it. The first one (from the left) selects the audio output you want to use. The second one turns the Groove Engine on and off, and the third one turns on the Tempo Lab, the parameters of which are adjusted by the fourth and final button. If you switch off the Tempo Lab by tapping the third button, then you can manually adjust the Tempo as you like. Tempo Lab is for practicing over a gradually increasing or decreasing tempo. It's a great feature, and if you accidentally turned it on without looking at the tutorial video first, it's easy to understand how you might think that there's a bug. It's not a bug, it's a feature!"

Great metronome, and way more!

I’ve been practicing with GrooveClixMetronome, and as a metronome, it’s great. But the settings with subdivisions make it way more musical to practice with than a traditional metronome.
Also, check out the tonal stuff for practice. Playing with the odd time tonal grooves is my favorite feature.
I just went for the subscription plan, and am just starting to discover the depth of GrooveClixMetronome. I’ll update my review after I get a chance to try out all the new features.

Great App

I wish there was an option for a one-time purchase and I would love for there to be a separate version to use this as a plugin in a DAW for click track purposes.

I would also like to see more time signature options including 1,8,9,10,11 and 12 for the numerator.

Great app needs bug fixes

Keeps crashing after I turn to accent pro

THE ABSOLUTE BEST!!!!!

Outstanding for inspiration, practicing, and overall improving musicianship as for as timing accuracy, and musicality. THE BEST METRONOME IN THE PLANET!!!

Amazing Inspiration

Working through this Metronome behind the kit and I can’t stop playing along to it! That’s the inspiration drummers need to get good time! Well done 🤘🏽🥁🤘🏽🥁🤘🏽

Great metronome

Use this for several different applications. I see the pro subscription doesn’t include all the groove libraries like I thought. You need to purchase those individually. I thought they came with the subscription. It’s still a decent app

“Must Have” for the serious drummer!

I am really enjoying the features of GrooveClixMetronome.
Especially the variable ramp-up tempo between two selectable bpm.

I like the rich selection of click “tones”as well as easy-find triplet time selection.

Phenomenal Tool!

The his is metronome and a sequencer hybrid and is a must have App for every musician on the planet. Not only will it help you become a better player no matter what instrument you play or what level you’re at you will literally have a blast playing with it. A truly practical and addictive music invention.
Thank you Dave Weckl & Jay Oliver!

OMG!

What an amazing app !! I can’t wait to start drumming… what if you add riffs for solos!! This is the best click ever built!

Great app some minor bugs

I realized the while phones time is displayed while in landscape mode, it never syncs meaning it doesn’t update to current time. I think you forgot to write a refresh rate.
