App need ALOT of work!!

You’d think with the severity of our situation, with the Coronavirus mess, ALL grocery stores would beef up their online ordering systems! C’mon this app!! Y’all need to seriously get with the times, like FAST!!
Searching for items is painfully slow and frustrating... if you search for “bleach” it’ll bring up the few items they have with bleach in them. Also, whether you’re browsing their categories or your search, when you click on an item, it takes you to that items listing. BUT- when you go back to where you left off, you CAN’T! It spits you alllll the way back up at the top of the list! So if you’re shopping a certain section & there’s hundreds of items to browse thru, you’re gonna be there for AWHILE!! I’ve tried and tried getting past this, but always get so frustrated I wind up closing Brookshires altogether and going back to “the big box store”.
Hopefully someone on the Brookshire’s Tech Team actually reads these reviews and fixes these major (minor) problems!!

Most user unfriendly grocery app

Congratulations, Brookshire's for creating the most user difficult app ever. I've tried it twice - from my phone - my order messed up both times - so many ways to make it simpler.
Why are there eight different ways to find Miracle Whip in the list? Find it once, select it, click the flavor, click the right size (if it's not available, it's not selectable), select the number, click on add to cart. And then repeat for every item.
But no - Miracle Whip is listed a bazillion times but never together in a humongous list of every sauce and condiment on the planet - even the items that are not available, have never been available, won't ever be available at your location.
Completely ridiculous - and no electronic notification - a personal text from someone at your location.
Done - two times too many for me.

Difficult app to use

Brookshires is the most difficult shopping app I own. Could not find a way to update info on my credit card. I removed to reinstall it with current expiration date, etc. Now, I can’t find anywhere to put this info in. I have an order in to be filled for pick-up this afternoon and I don’t have a credit card on file to use for payment. I don’t want to lose my order. Several other issues, like needing to increase number of an item I entered on order. (That action takes too many steps.) after I return to the shopping to enter another item in that category, app takes me back to the top of all the items in that category. I need to go back to where I was when I placed my last item. Brookshires takes much too much time to use. May have to stop using Brookshire’s because of app!!!

Needs Serious Improvement

The Brookshire’s app really needs more thought into its development. It is very clunky and completely unintuitive. It is extremely difficult to find and search for items. When searching for ‘eggs’ - raw chicken products are shown; yet when searching for eggs again, all eggs are shown. Results for 1/2 and 1/2 gave me fresh baked sub rolls. A search for hotdogs pulled in pork sausage patties. Even simple things; like clearing the search bar to type in another item, will deactivate the keyboard, so I have to retap the search bar to be able to type. To delete items or change the quantity in the cart requires 3 extra steps. I would love to use Brookshire’s curbside pickup, but it’s nightmare of an App is a huge deterrent and I end up using ‘the other guys’. As stated previously, Brookshires is clunky and unintuitive a real chore to use and figure out.

Whoever designed the app doesn’t know shopping apps

Terrible. Search for one thing, it shows you something different. Hard to find items by category/subcategory. Sometimes you search something obvious like “coffee” and it says no results. Every order I make (weekly) has to be amended because they’re out of at least 3 or 4 items that Brookshires said they have in store. To add items, you must text a description and go back and forth with the shopper until they pick the right one.

Overall more hassle than going into the store and leaving with what you’re after. Wish I could give it 0 stars.

This rating is for Brookshires only! The people at Brookshire’s are A+++ and I wouldn’t trade them for anything!!

Hardest Shopping App Ever

I love my local this app. I have Instacart bring items weekly. We wanted to pick things up ourselves this time. A- i do t know my loyalty number, we always just give the cashier our phone number, app won’t accept that. Tried to shop as a guest, app insisted we shop with a registered account. Took three tries to set my store, app kept redirecting me to one further away. I can sit down, use Instacart and have my groceries in 2 hours. Pick up at the store, I was given a time 24 hours later. this app jumped into this game too soon just to sweat out Walmart but not enough knowledge by developers to make this user friendly or a good experience

LOVE my Brookshires but HATE this App

Please, whoever is in charge of Brookshires, fix it. I’ve tried logging into my account several times but it says my information is incorrect. I have my pw saved on my phone so I know it’s correct! So, I changed my pw & tried to log in & it says the new pw is incorrect! This is so frustrating. I can’t even log in to purchase my items. I don’t want to sign in as a guest because I want to use my this app card! Also, Brookshires is so hard to navigate. Please look at Walmart’s or Kroger’s & see how easy it is for users to find items & put them in their carts. I want so badly to use curbside pickup from this app but Brookshires gives me a headache & I end up purchasing groceries from other places.

Hats off to Brookshire’s

First time using the grocery pickup, I love the experience !!! I received a text to tell me I had 1 bag of Brookshire’s chicken breast and 1 bag of Tyson chicken breast. She said Tyson chicken breast are buy 1 get 1 free, would you like that instead? Of course!! Then received another text asking how I wanted my deli meat sliced. And that my order was ready !!! I picked 5-6 pickup and they had it ready at 2:00 ... I’m telling y’all that’s the go to place... Big Shout Out To Greenville Brookshire’s

Please let me re-develop it...

As an app developer myself. There are quite a few things that make Brookshires hard to use. Especially as a mother of two and on the run a ton. I wanted to try this out since I use Walmart’s all the time but still sometimes stop by Brookshire’s to get a couple of things I love from this store.

I did love how quickly the order went and the personalized shopper texting me.

But man...Brookshires was so difficult to use...colors, scrolling issues, text complete was awful, I had to press the same text box a hundred times before it recognized that I did it. This alone would hurt my business to even do it again.

Bait and switch

I ordered groceries on a Tuesday. I received a confirmation email at 5:04 pm that same day stating my order total was $60. There were items I purchased that were on sale in the circular and those prices were presented as the costs of items in the order confirmation.
At 7:15 am the next morning I received an email from Brookshire’s stating my order was filled and the cost was $73. Upon reviewing the items I discovered that I was no longer allowed the sale prices.
I called the store to complain and was told nothing could be done because I finished the order after 5 pm on Tuesday. If the prices were not to be honored they should not have been offered and confirmed.

Needs fixes, behind in the game.

Couldn’t get Brookshires to work correctly. It kept insisting I use a store farther away than the one in my town (that definitely offers the pickup option). And it wanted me to choose the pickup store each time I tried to add an item to the cart, no idea why and it was redundant. Also it wouldn’t actually allow me to add any items to my cart even though I had set up my account with my thank you card number. Very behind in the game when compared to competitors apps. I would love for Brookshires to work because I don’t have any other grocery stores near me and having this pickup option would be a great help.

never any food

Order after order, since joe biden, they never have food. You place and r then the shopper says they are out of everything except the most overpriced items on your list. Also prices are absolutely horrible they are gouging and taking advantage of inflation which is partly why they never have food if you place order and it goes up 3% over night they are magically out of it when filling order......,.....never American did I think I would not be able to purchase food for family how those with lesser jobs are surviving is beyond me.....

App is very hard to use

Brookshires makes it so difficult to complete a curbside order sometimes. Items from the weekly circular often times have multiple variations of the product that qualify for the sale, but when you click on the item it will only let you choose one option. For example, Brookshire’s brand block and shredded cheese are BOGO - click on the item and it will only let you select the block mozzarella cheese when there should be several different options available. It very frustrating!!

It's okay...

It's okay, but it could use some tweaks. Maybe an option to upload items on a spreadsheet? (I have teen boys so my grocery list is loooong) Also, an option to unswipe or untapped to keep item in list. Once it disappears I have to figure out what I deleted. If this feature exists, where can I find it?

Developers should USE the app

Try making a grocery list and going to Brookshires to find pricing and availability. Then see what it is like to try to use Brookshires and tell us why we should bother.
If you make something for people to use, then you can only make it effective by using it yourself and changing it to be useful for shopping and buying.
Otherwise people get frustrated with it and go elsewhere.
Good luck developing a useful app.

Easy to use

My con about Brookshires it doesn’t let you do your medications. It says store and pharmacy but it is not on Brookshires as stated. But other than that I enjoy using Brookshires .

App groceries

Hardest app it needs to be redesigned. It needs to be simplified a person that is not computer savvy will have issues I have a aunt that would like to use it needs to use it but she’s not able to because of the complications she just can’t she has trouble with it. I understand I have used it numerous times and get extreme aggravated cause it takes me so long.

Never again

I’ll never spend another cent at a Brookshire’s. I was treated like a criminal for throwing a Brookshire’s bag of 4 empty Brookshire’s water bottles in the dumpster behind the store as I drove away from picking up my prescriptions from Brookshire’s 107 on Barksdale Boulevard. I went and spoke to Antonio the manager and he couldn’t explain the difference between me throwing it in the dumpster or the can out front. IG, Twitter and all they could say is we will let our team know.

Love it, all workers are so friendly

The main thing I am wanting to let others know which a worker told me is that your Brookshire’s number is on the back of your Brookshire’s card.

Please update and improve the pharmacy app

It’s completely useless with apple updates. It also needs major improvements. An app that when it works all you can do is request a refill and check the status of the refilled. But hey I’m sure the pharmacy won’t mind additional phone calls with all the additional work they are also having to do at this time. COVID-19

Terrible app

I love Brookshire’s but Brookshires is terrible. For some reason it keeps changing my phone number. So when I give my number to the cashier, it won’t be the right number affiliated with my account. So then I have to open the account and show my number. Very frustrating.

Worse than ever

They finally updated this second rate app. I was hoping they would make it more like the original that they absurdly replaced, but no.... worse than ever. this app, could you guys please hire some people that actually know how to design an app? Maybe the people the designed the first one??? Pathetic.

Failure - this app does not work

First - there are no instructions for this non intuitive GUI. That includes no Help, no Contact, no ability to report errors.

Second - Brookshires freezes. Completely. In the programming world I worked in that was a “core dump.” I know - it was my nickname as a Software Quality Engineer.

Third - there are competitors out there that not only have better apps but better prices. Brookshires will not win you customers.

Fourth - Brookshires did not recognize my Thank You Card number and assigned a new one. How do I get that corrected???

Will not let me login!

It doesn’t work! I had created an instacart account on my laptop, but Brookshires will not accept my login information. When I try the “forgot my password” option, it says, “Oops! Something went wrong!” I’ve tried several days. I’ll stick with Walmart pickup.

Great store, bad app

Please invest a little bit into a better design. The store is amazing, but Brookshires is so buggy and difficult to use at every turn.

By

Such a beating

3 stars because Brookshire’s has curbside, but geez Brookshires is such a beating!!! Click, click, click...back to the weekly flyer. Make the developers actually use Brookshires !!

By

No coupons

Why aren't there coupons on Brookshires!!! That’s why more people go to Kroger! Their app lets you go through an add coupons even to the curbside service!!!!!

By

expensive order fee

too expensive for order fee i should have known that theres an order fee i could have just walk and find it myself

Missing Barcode for Thank You card

Like sooo many others posting a review, a primary reason I have Brookshires on my device is simple access to my thank you card number.

The previous app was simple and easy to get to this. And it had a barcode. And it was a main icon in the primary screen

This iteration totally hit it wrong by burying everything under two layers of menus, no obvious pointers to get to it, and when you did find it under “Your Points and Offers”, the number is there, but there is no barcode.

Come on developers!!!! Don’t you even remember how customers are going to be using this number? I’m sure you shop for groceries too. Are you reciting a number or scanning a barcode?

The barcode should be something immediately front and center on Brookshires .

Also, take advantage of the Apple Wallet functionality. Many of your competitors do and it makes access to the barcode so easy.

Finally, where are the responses to these reviews? Are you reading them? Are you listening to your community? Are you fixing Brookshires?
