Great App! saves money on trainer!

I’ve been using BodyFitFitnessTrainingCoach for about 6 months now and it’s a great tool to have in the gym. Usually my personal trainers would be about $35-$50 per session with 2-3 sessions per week but BodyFitFitnessTrainingCoach has definitely replaced that. If you’re not used to gym floors and techniques I’d say get a trainer for 1 month then roll fully into BodyFitFitnessTrainingCoach. Ive used 3 of the unlimited plans they offer so far from basic levels to advance levels and the training videos plus reality shows of your workout programs are great to make one feel as if they really do have a personal trainer. I’m able to track my weights with repetition and keep a history of what I’ve done. The meal plans could be better with providing recipes and grocery lists, but for $5 per month you can complain. BodyFitFitnessTrainingCoach is great!

Rest Day/Workouts Not Being Tracked

BodyFitFitnessTrainingCoach is seamless and straightforward when it comes to making a plan and sticking to it. I am fortune enough to have a majority of the equipment necessary to perform nearly all exercises asked for in each plan, which is great. However..

This has happened multiple times over, particularly in Jim Stoppani’s 6-weeks to Shred and the Alpha Men workout, where my workouts simply wont be logged onto the calendar after I’ve fully completed the workout. I’ve tried restarting BodyFitFitnessTrainingCoach and re-logging all the weights and reps again, but it still won’t appear. I’ve also tried to visit the website itself and track it there, but to no avail. BodyFitFitnessTrainingCoach’s failure to log my workouts after consistent attempts is making it difficult to track my efforts, and can sabotage my progress in the future because I won’t be able to remember every single weight I’ve lifted as time goes on when I’m trying to do progressive overload. If there are workarounds or fixes done to BodyFitFitnessTrainingCoach, I’d be thrilled to give 5 stars, but this hassle of failure to record my progress is detrimental to me.

Formerly BodySpace; Glitchy; Constantly Have to Redownload

This is the newer cost version of BodySpace. BodySpace was amazing - a library of 6,000+ workout plans & exercise routines you could customize to fit your needs and expectations free to the public. Now, BodyFit requires a steep annual fee and includes far fewer, less customizable plans. The marketing aspects are a bit more polished, but comes off as a sponsorship cash-grab. Coincidentally, BodySpace no longer works at all - unsure why it’s available for download in BodyFitFitnessTrainingCoach Store if it was discontinued.

Glitches/Bugs:
Constantly having to delete my data for BodyFitFitnessTrainingCoach to get it to work. Sometimes it tries to get me to resubscribe saying that I haven’t already paid my membership fees. Other times, it just crashes, shuts down, or has endless loading screens.

Highly disappointing transition from the original overall. Although the new one comes with a diet & supplements plan, each plan varies depending on what products are included in that trainer’s sponsorship. More internet pollution instead of genuine access to solid information. :/ Evidently providing an efficient and free/low-cost database to improve the public’s overall fitness & health is once again not as important as making a quick buck.
Look elsewhere. Nike, under armor, and other fitness apps may be more reliable and have a wider array of micros-macros & calorie-burning tracking features included in a comparable cost —> better value.

Better than any personal trainer I’ve ever had

I’ve been using BodyFit since they were just a free website, and they’ve never failed me. They’ve made so many awesome improvements to BodyFitFitnessTrainingCoach, most notably with the holy grail of strength training - a very easy, solid weight/rep tracking system that makes it so simple to quickly log what you’re lifting and see how it progresses as you grow stronger. These programs are so comprehensive and actually teach you how to create sustainable programs that give results - in the way you look and feel but also in the progression of your physical and mental strength. Huge fan girl for life. Ditch the useless YouTube/Instagram workouts with no strategy for progression and get real results (and measure them), with BodyFitFitnessTrainingCoach.

Needs more customization and syncing

Easy to use app and great for tracking workout. However, it needs to allow some customization. I understand that when you join a program it is preloaded with the exercises, but sometimes the gym might not have the piece of equipment needed for a particular exercise. It would be nice to be able to add an exercise that may be similar. You can do this in the free body space app.

Also, unless I am just not seeing it but, why can you not change the type of set? It seems like you can only track “standard” sets. Many programs call for drop sets or rest-pause sets etc. Again, you can change this in the free app.

Lastly, I am new to the All Access app, but have been using the free app for years. Please allow syncing between the two app, so I do not have to keep using both apps during a workout. It’s nice to see your history for a particular exercise.

Good Tracking App

All in all I think it’s a great app and I enjoy using it daily.

Two suggestions for the dev team; when entering notes, make it a bit more prominent that a note was added by either coloring the notes icon or putting the note on the track page at the top. It’s easy to forget you entered one and it would be nice to see these clearly the next workout for the same exercise.

Also sometimes the “Save Set” button becomes hidden behind the “Complete” and “Next Exercise” button. Perhaps lock this button at the bottom as well as it’s easy to forget to log your last set of the button becomes hidden.

Good app. Implementation could use some work.

Overall, BodyFitFitnessTrainingCoach is very functional and has come a long way over the years, albeit with a few gripes. The first of which being you cannot view a specific exercise’s history directly from the workout if that exercise is a “warmup” or “superset”. This forces you to go back to the dashboard to see your history of weight used and is kind of a pain. Unsure what the reasoning behind that is. Additionally if you are replacing a reps only exercise (eg. pull-ups) in a workout with a different exercise that requires a weight input, BodyFitFitnessTrainingCoach will still only let you select how many reps you completed. I assume this is a bug of some sort but defeats the purpose of letting you replace exercises.

Needs Watch App & Health Integration

I’d give this a 5 for content, 4 for BodyFitFitnessTrainingCoach itself. BodyFitFitnessTrainingCoach is very stable and I never have an issue with it - kudos to the engineering & QA teams for their effort. There are a few features it should have to make it a 5:

Integration with Apple Health - why not just read my weight & body fat from my smart scale that records to Health?
Apple Watch app - be great to do a workout and have it record to the Workout app
Videos in landscape mode - I rotate my phone but still get the portrait mode, ugh
Customizable rest timer - some plans use talk about different rest periods between sets but it looks like there is just a global setting
Same exercise between two programs with different names & history - some of the programs prepend a prefix to the exercise name, most likely due to some programs have their own videos for the exercises, but the history should be applied to both
Offline functionality for airplane mode weekends - I like to take breaks from always being connected and I’m not able to do that
There are other apps that have the Apple Health integration & watch app, but they lack the content of the BodyFit app.

Love it. But a minor suggestion.

LOOOOOOOVE the workout tracking. I got so sick of bringing a notebook and pen and having to constantly go back to my phones stopwatch. It’s so amazing to have weight/set tracking plus a timer in an all in one in my phone. My only suggestion is I wish I could erase or edit the name of an exercise and also if I could add exercises to the end. I’m doing the “Living Large” Jay Cutler workout plan. But some exercises like dips I cannot due to shoulder pain so I wish I can delete that exercise out of the list. And then add in another exercise to replace it or add another exercise to the end of the workout that would be just perfect. Other than not being able to modify the workout exercises or order BodyFitFitnessTrainingCoach is perfect !

Almost perfect

BodyFitFitnessTrainingCoach is almost a perfect solution! The user interface is great looking and intuitive. Tons of workout programs and I haven’t come across any major bugs.

The only thing keeping this from being a five star is that I can’t figure out how to easily substitute exercises in my workout schedule. Here is my use case: I am following Shortcut to Shred and using my home gym. I don’t have a smith machine for the decline bench press so I want to substitute in the regular decline bench press or a decline dumbbell press. This is where I get stuck - so right now I am keeping paper notes and just using BodyFitFitnessTrainingCoach as a workout schedule and not a workout tracker.

Otherwise an excellent app!

Good Results

I have been working out casually and running for the past 2 years. A few months ago, I wanted to begin increasing my strength and build muscle to reach goals I set for myself. I used a few other workout apps but this is the only one I’ve enjoyed and seen good results with it. I’d recommend if you’re new to weight lifting or took a long break from it, try out one of the beginner 12 week programs. This has helped me get into working out in addition to the running/cardio I do outside of weight lifting.

What trial?

I loaded onto my phone, opened BodyFitFitnessTrainingCoach and selected the only option of “lets get started”. Next screen gives me 2 choices, monthly or annual subscription. Am I missing something? Where is the 7 day free trial it advertises? I’m not paying for something I haven’t seen yet.

Developer responded several months later saying I have to select a membership type as it will automatically bill me after the 7 day trial period if I don’t cancel. How about just letting me see BodyFitFitnessTrainingCoach and if I like it, let me sign up and select automatic renewal. Stop taking away the consumers choice.

If you aren’t confident your app is everything I’m looking for, then it shouldn’t be an issue. If your just trying to take money from people with the “oops I forgot to cancel” subscription, then you need to redesign your app and get a set of morals along with some ethics and start doing the right thing.

Great app; noticed some programming bugs

First let me say BodyFitFitnessTrainingCoach is great. Tons of workouts from really awesome trainers. I have enjoyed every program i have tried!
However lately i have experienced some bugs. When tracking my workout i will select “save and go to next exercise” only to find that the last exercise did not save. Sometime it saves with no problem, most of the time i will have to go back, save, go back again, re enter the weight, save, maybe it works... maybe i start the process all over again. Its super annoying.
Not sure if anyone else is experiencing this but to BodyFitFitnessTrainingCoach developer, PLEASE FIX THIS!

Love the selections of plans

I have got to say, I always feel a little lost and redundant when I go into the gym. I feel like this has given me some really great perspective on what I should actually be doing to push myself. My 7 day trial is almost up and I am probably going to be switching to BodyFitFitnessTrainingCoach. The two suggestions I have that would make BodyFitFitnessTrainingCoach perfect is BodyFitFitnessTrainingCoach available on the Apple Watch, as well as it tracking the workout and syncing with Apple Health. It would be useful when trying to track my calories and such. I’d have to say that’s the one benefit that FitBod has over BodyFitFitnessTrainingCoach. The plans alone though are worth the switch to me.

More functionality needed

I really like using the single day workouts to help me track my progress and have a clear workout to do when I go to the gym.

That said, a lot of times I would love to add a single exercises to my workout that would also be tracked and data stored. Right now all I can do is replace a exercise and not add to the workout I’ve done. It would also be nice to make a custom workout that I can add and change as I progress or change up exercises.

All in all, I’ll continue to use what I can… but frustrated that I can’t track everything I want.

User-Friendly and well designed!

I’m a beginner to workouts like this and am only three days in to my workout plan. I have to say, BodyFitFitnessTrainingCoach & program have been really incredible and useful. I love that it has a checklist and demos included with the excercises, but then also allows you to track your progress. It unexpectedly gave me tons of confidence because it’s helping me implement the plan, as opposed to what I used to do, which was show up to the gym and not really know where to start. Loving this.

So Crappy

BodyFitFitnessTrainingCoach is the paid version of the free BodySpace app but it doesn’t work well. I have been using BodySpace for years and switched over to BodyFit thinking that my workout history would come over and it didn’t. When I spoke to customer support they just said “No BodySpace is legacy program that we aren’t getting rid of but are no longer managing.” Then I had a workout not save on BodyFitFitnessTrainingCoach and again customer support said “ You can mark it completed on the web site and just write down what you did this week for next week. “ I have never had a workout tracking app for two weeks and had to contact customer support twice and them be no help at all. Do yourself a favor and don’t buy the service!

Amazing App BUT 1 Annoying Problem

This is an amazing app for those who want to find great plans to follow and stay focused during your lift. Well executed and streamlined design makes it super easy to use. The ONLY issue I have is not having the ability to look at your past weight lifted on every lift. I've only noticed this feature on a few lifts. It would be amazing if you could look at your history on every lift so you don't have to click out of the workout, and go back to past workouts, just to see what you did the week before.

After using BodyFitFitnessTrainingCoach since 2018 it’s always been user friendly and no matter what situation if any has come up (1 instance that was due to my forgetfulness to pay the subscription bill when I dident) the customer service has been beyond knowledgeable and outstanding! Addition?

Hey! I love BodyFitFitnessTrainingCoach ! Absolutely wonderful. I think it could be beneficial if there was a way to go back and update/complete a workout. There have been several times I accidentally clicked skip workout at the end of my workout and I can’t go back and “re-do” or update the workout to show that I’m still doing it or completed it. There is an update option but it doesn’t seem to actually do anything. It just brings me back to the monthly view and doesn’t actually let me do anything with that particular workout.

I love and hate it.

The programs are amazing, the workouts are great the variety is decent. It gives you a timer on certain programs for only the first set of the exercises and not the other sets. For example let’s say I have 2 set of circuits with 3 sets each. it will pop up the timer for the first set in both of the circuits but not the other sets. Also the videos that show how todo the exercise don’t match up with the exercise listed in the program. For example, in my current program I says todo sesaw lunges ( right leg then left leg) with dumbbells but the example video should shoulder sesaw press. It still has a lot of kinks it needs to work through.

Awesome service, app needs work

I found BodyFitFitnessTrainingCoach and instantly knew I was about to become consistent with my workouts. And I have been ever since. It is insanely affordable, tons of fitness programs to choose from, and the first one I picked has been engaging and super challenging with awesome results so far.

That being said, BodyFitFitnessTrainingCoach has been super glitchy. It logs me out all the time, freezes if I do the wrong combination of actions, and then takes literal minutes to reboot. This is kind of a buzz kill in the middle of workouts and has caused me to have to memorize my workouts ahead of time so I can keep going when this happens, and this limits a lot of the benefits from app features mid workout.

I think this issue (present in good service areas) is compounded at one of my gyms with slow data speeds. BodyFitFitnessTrainingCoach NEEDS OFFLINE CAPABILITY. We need to be able to download and track our workouts offline, including the videos. And a stability update would be great.

The product itself is so good though that I’m waiting a bit for these updates before I jump ship. Help me out!

Need some things..

It’s been a while since I’ve checked out your site — decided to go for a free trial. Really enjoying the new(?) workout tracking app ... however - it’s is lacking some really obvious features:
1. The “set timer” feature between sets is great - but it is not available after completing the final warmup set, before the “real” sets. Why no timer here?
2. Again - no timer after you complete an exercise, before moving to the next one. Should be able to time this too.
3. No “elapsed time” displayed ...
4. The chime at the end of the timer isn’t very loud (and sometimes doesn’t ding at all) ... would be ideal if there was a way to increase this volume, and to change the sound (make it a bell or something more loud - not a polite chime like I got an app notification) ... basically, no reason to not make this customizable

Otherwise, so far so good — add those features and I’d say it’s 5 stars ... doing great!

Great but could use improvement

Love BodyFitFitnessTrainingCoach . Great workouts. Reasonable subscription price for what we’re getting but BodyFitFitnessTrainingCoach logs out to frequently. I find myself having to log in almost every time I unlock my phone to see my next exercise which is time consuming and sometimes I have poor internet connection which resets BodyFitFitnessTrainingCoach useless. Perhaps if we could download to our device or something like that would be more reliable but I find it very frustrating at times. All that aside it is a very easy to use app with great programs but just wish I could depend on it being ready to go as I am. Thanks!

Good App but bad reporting

BodyFitFitnessTrainingCoach is good for the number of workout plans it has and the ability to track your workout. But what good is a plan and tracking my workout if I don’t have a useful easy reporting tool to see my progressive or lack there of.
Recording of any information is only valuable if it helps you make better decisions or improve results. The current format doesn’t allow that and for that I’m being critical in my review. I can only see what I did in a give workout, there isn’t any summary reports, trends reporting, gains in exercises over time.
If the reporting tool doesn’t improve I don’t think I will continue my subscription.

Think it’s great for the most part aside from it doesn’t like more than one plan from what I can tell.
Have two plans loaded in it currently to work simultaneously. The second plan, 30 day Arms, doesn’t keep any of the actual workout info ie the name of the exercise or the example videos, after the first time you load and start it. Tried resetting it which dumps your saved progress info and it loads the exercise detail info again but of course your progress is lost and then it doesn’t have the exercise detail when you come back the next time.

Took the Guess work out of the Grunt work!

I love how many options you have and no mater what level you go to, you’ll feel the burn! Definitely can tell I’m getting stronger after a week and I love this. I’ve been bodybuilding for a couple years but could never be consistent with changing up my exercises, this makes it easy and affective! Recommend this to anyone, this is more than just an app it’s a new way of living a healthier life!

Awesome App

I have been using BodyFitFitnessTrainingCoach for more than 6 months. I really enjoy BodyFitFitnessTrainingCoach. Different programs for all types of people for under 10 dollars a month. Different programs offer so many different workouts and nutrition information and how to prepare delicious meals. I have learned so much about my body and how it responds to different foods and watching my body grow. I would definitely recommend BodyFitFitnessTrainingCoach.

Wish it sync up with body space app

Update review: after trying it out more and compare it with BodySpace I think this one is useless compared to BodySpace. The features bodyspace provides are better even the workout tracker, it is easier to user than this one, BodySpace can track rest time but this one does not. I really don’t understand why there is another app if BodySpace provides better experience?????

I also love and hate it

Started using BodyFitFitnessTrainingCoach because it was recommended by a friend. I fell in love with it. However, I’m on week 4 of a the Live Fit program and it has all sorts of glitches. While I’m at the gym it tends to freeze and restart itself. Then I have to sign in each time it does this. During the recent update to BodyFitFitnessTrainingCoach , a new glitch also appeared. I can’t save my workout information and it kicks me out of BodyFitFitnessTrainingCoach . There is an error message that seems to always appear. 😡. This is ruining my workout experience on a daily basis. I’m thinking of canceling my membership if these problems persist. Please advise.

Good way to track workouts but....

I enjoy using this to be able to track my weight. It’s helpful to see progress. It seems the developers have fixed a lot of the issues other users were having.

The thing that I want is to be able to use this as a data source with the activity tracker on my iPhone. At times I don’t have my watch to track my workout time and heart rate. Making BodyFitFitnessTrainingCoach compatible with the Apple Watch would also be useful in order to input weight and watch the timer.
