ParkFerndale is a joke. I tried to pay my parking ticket and it kept freezing and of course there’s no one I can call to get immediate help in case the payment actually went through. Now I will go online and try to pay it again and I’ll have to wait and see if the other two payments went through. But not before the fine increases! Don’t have an option to pay your tickets on here if it’s not going to work. Also, at the top of the payment screen it says to allow for a $2.50 credit card processing fee. My total processing fee at the bottom was $3, not $2.50 as stated. The inconsistencies and straight up LIES on ParkFerndale are not worth your time. To the creators of ParkFerndale- do better! If you want people to use ParkFerndale, it has to work properly and honestly. As of now, neither are true and you are wasting tax payers money by having a faulty app.
Tried using both ParkFerndale AND the website to pay for parking. Here’s a ✨shocker✨. Neither of the payments went through. And my card info was stolen from the website that was listed on the parking post. So thank you for the terrible night. I will now be parking in a traditional parking garage next time I am in there area.
Doesn’t support Apple Pay or paying with on device card. Instead insists on storing your credit card information so it can be stolen later.
There’s no need for all of these different parking apps. I prefer ParkMobile, is easier to use and understand. I’m going to start avoiding parking in Ferndale, and if I do have to park there I’m going to make sure in park somewhere I don’t have to pay. Even if that means I have to walk blocks to wear I’m going.
Half the time I try to pay for parking it says “location no currently available.” Why do you need location services if I’m punching in my spot number anyways? Fix your app!
ParkFerndale worked great when starting my parking session, but when trying to extend my time ParkFerndale would sit and spin and would not load an extension of time. I tried several times and it refused to load, despite me having signal and all my other apps working. I eventually gave up. After checking my bank account, ParkFerndale charged me for every attempt despite not extending my time. It did refund them, but it’s still irritating. It’s also worrying that it charged the total cost of the session including what I had already paid, not just the cost of the extension.
Trying to park so I can dispute a charge with my bank and ParkFerndale won’t let me create a pin, saying that when i conform the pin it does not match. several pins were tried (1234,1111,2222 etc) and it keeps denying me to make an account.
First, there should be an option if you just want to manually enter the space number.
Second, when I was FORCED to share my location, ParkFerndale would then not acknowledge that I had turned on location services.
Like the title says. App unable to handle MFA or the PINs. Doesn’t matter what network it’s on, it says “network error.” Resetting PIN doesn’t work because of the “network error.” After three network errors in a row on my phone (ATT) and three network errors in a row on my partners phone (Verizon) we have concluded ParkFerndale is slow and awful and does not work. Get it together. Please. Thanks
There should be one universal app...Park Mobile! Any city that uses this system is doing a disservice for their businesses. Who wants multiple parking apps? Especially one that fails. The one local near me, Ferndale MI has had several outages since they left park mobile. Now when I go out I will choose cities that respect their residents, visitors, and businesses and use a parking app that is widely recognized and actually works.
After you go through the process of getting a pin via text, putting in an account pin, AND allowing location services, ParkFerndale just says location services not available. Clearly they need to do some sort of update. Why do I need to go through all of this for the equivalent of putting a quarter in a meter? They are probably tracking and selling location data and worried more about that than fulfilling ParkFerndale ’s primary purpose. If I could give less than 1 star, I would.
If I pay for 2 hours but am done in :45 minutes, you should be able to just pay for the actual time you use.
Apple Pay should be an option on an Apple app.
Otherwise gets the job done. But this is Michigan people, if you build an app build it right. Go the extra mile. Take pride in your work. Don’t fall short of the finish line just steps before the marathon is over - less your town watch the Teslas of the world drive into your proverbial sunset.
Getting an error message: “Location is not currently available.”
Never use the kiosk again. Setup is less than 5 minutes, then you’re golden.
In my opinion, this is a MUCH better app than ParkMobile. It’s very simply and logically laid out. I wish it were available in Royal Oak and Ann Arbor.
Downloaded at the parking spot and very easy to use the first time. Added my cc and since I was early, added a new session from the restaurant when my wife pulled in and told me her spot number, never had to leave the table. Well worth getting
This is a easy app for parking. Once you get it set up, which is a snap! It’s a piece a cake to pay for your parking.
Super easy to use! All you need is your space number.
Easy to use! Bravo. I wish all cities used ParkFerndale.
Hate the paying part, love the part where I don’t have to run to the meter.
