🏷️ About:
Criptext is an email service that prioritizes privacy and security. It offers end-to-end encryption, no data collection, open-source code, and an easy-to-use interface. With Criptext, users can have peace of mind knowing that their emails are secure and private.
I know longer use CriptextSecureEmail because it does use some of your data, read its Privacy policy because in my other encrypted apps they do not keep any of our information and with so many of these encrypted apps showing up I would make sure that you read the policy well because they should not be keeping any data on you
Frazzled update from deleted emails.

Found my missing emails I sent to yaho. They were all in spam. Don’t know why cause it is yahoo that is spam. But still can’t delete contacts. And next time app freezes it will take all emails with it. Even when you reinstall it again with same credentials. Why does it freeze like that?

I have to give a 0 rating. I just signed in after signing up and it tells me my pass word is wrong. So I go ahead and touch ‘reset’ pass word. I get a message I’ll get an email at Criptext secure mail. How am I going to get my message if you don’t recognize my pass word? I have another email but I didn’t give it. I gave my phone #. I admit I’m not techy but I followed the instructions.

Mobile iOS app was doing weird things never got a reply from customer support so I deleted CriptextSecureEmail off my phone hoping it would fix itself when I reinstalled it. When I reinstalled it it did not recognize my password for some reason. So now I’ve been without my email for going on 10 days now. I sent over two dozen Emails to the support email address and no reply yet. I also registered on their technical support website two days ago and no reply yet I’m very disappointed very disappointed very disappointed very disappointed very disappointed very disappointed
I’m receiving different messages on different devices. My desktop has some. My mobile has a few and my desktop has some. I’m waiting for days for emails for important crypto trades. So many problems with CriptextSecureEmail. The UX is also very lacking.
Not the best for privacy and security

The good: User interface is great. It really does make email feel like a messaging app for the most part. Emails between Criptext users are end to end encrypted.
The bad: Requires providing personal information, namely an existing email address, in order to register for a new Criptext email account. Existing Criptext users must now provide an alternate email address before they can send emails. Can’t send end to end encrypted emails to non-Criptext email addresses.
Not the best when it comes to privacy and security. If you want free email that doesn’t ask for any personal information and let’s you send end to end encrypted emails to any email address, take a look at ProtonMail or Tutanota instead.
the potential to be more

I have been having issues with encountering an app that serves its purpose with privacy, security, email, employment and life management, schedule, journaling, note taking and much more. I came across CriptextSecureEmail and gave it a try and sure enough I am very pleased with what it has to offer and its simplicity design. Only reason I give it 3 stars is the fact that it lacks iPad version. Here are some features I hope to see if iPad version is ever developed; drag and drop, 3D Touch, Calendar, tasks, to-do, notes, send email later option (time, date, reminder, approval), aliases, iMessage app access to attachments, Apple Smart Keyboard support, landscape/horizontal layout, full customization actions, handoff, templates, integration to other end-to-end apps (Tresorit, Standard Notes, Telegram and Signal). Maybe incorporating interaction with Apple Files app to create and store folders/files on local device. I can’t wait to see it in the next update. Please take this positive feedback and suggestions with intentions on expanding and improving its functionality to your clients daily life. CriptextSecureEmail has major potential to become a top notch and competitor to other end-to-end encryption apps. Thanks and keep it up the great work!
Useable but needs work

Needed: 1) I should be able to go through my inbox from message to message without navigation out to the message list between each one. 2) often crashes when I filter by unread.

Developer is active with updates to keep the service running and responds fast with inquiries/questions. Quite pleased. No other email service is like this one. 5/5 stars. Great job Criptext. ;)
With that new update it pushes this service to an even more full fledge email service and more. I love it and I can’t see myself use something else.

It’s been as good as an email client that you can ask for in this day and age. I would love a paid option for extra features.

I love criptext it’s simple yet more secure than many of the email services available. It reminds me of the early days of email servers before the emails became bloated with ads.
I use it for all my really important email. Medical and legal correspondence.
Great User Interface!

Criptext is a great email service and CriptextSecureEmail is likewise very secure, and has a great user interface. I use CriptextSecureEmail in lieu of the standard mail app on my iPhone and it has been nothing but smooth sailing! I fully endorse this service and application.
Completely independent Fosse and open source private fourth amendment respecting main stream email client completely free and backed up to any cloud storage that she choose if you own personal and all emails I hosted locum unless you say I’m to your cloud so there’s no risk of data breaches.
Unique and great

This is the most secure email service you can find. A lot of people don’t think you need to be secure online. You do. Get CriptextSecureEmail.

Why would you highlight 'privacy' and 'end to end encryption' for an app that requires the receiver of your email to also use Criptext for either 'privacy' or 'end to end encryption' to apply?
How likely is it that many or most of your correspondents will also use Criptext?
That drawback should be the first thing you mention in your review. You don't mention it at all.
This website's 'contact us' webform also does not work.
