F Secure FREEDOME VPN Reviews

Is there anyway to get a refund? This is so horrible idk what happened to it, it makes my phone unusable and it never connects then everything is off line unless I turn off vpn all together. I’ve never had this problem except for the past week but it’s been a everyday thing. It’s constantly trying to connect. I’ve used suggested locations, I’ve reset my vpn settings. Whatever changes you guys made recently impacted your services in a bad way. Idk if you cut back on servers or changed up using cheaper software but it’s something on your end bc my phone works great without your services but I no longer have protection. I just won’t a refund for the reminder of my subscription.

With the latest iOS updates, I am not able to turn on Freedome in my iPhone X because the when it is “ON” the phone immediately goes to LTE.

Before I knew this I talked to a genius and apple ended up giving me a new machine, only to come home and have the same problem again. Then I noticed the conflict. I called and spoke to Apple, and they will look into this but Freedome also needs to do something about the incompatibility.

At first FSecureFREEDOMEVPN was great! Connected fast and didn’t slow down internet speeds at all. About a month in FSecureFREEDOMEVPN would take 30-60 seconds to connect. I would have to turn off the VPN, close FSecureFREEDOMEVPN and then turn it back on for it to connect.

Recently I upgraded my phone and now FSecureFREEDOMEVPN will not let me sign in and I paid for a year subscription. Tried to rest my password but it will not send me an email to reset password. Lost about 6 months of use of the VPN. Just not reliable

I love FSecureFREEDOMEVPN for my mobile devices- easiest ands most reliable VPN by far. Recently when I connect to open wifi networks, it disconnects completely from wifi. At first I thought that particular network blocked VPN protocols but it has now happened on networks I've connected to before- hotels, restaurants, etc. I bought those VPN solely for the mobile app and it's totally worthless. What happened?! Used to be awesome.

Not sure why but when I access apps Like target - craigslist etc! Im unable to use the apps on my phone along with a lot of Internet searches. When I click onto links I get told it’s unsafe when know it’s perfectly safe. I have to turn the VPN off go back then re-enter the site. This started happening about five or six months ago is it a bug fix the bugs please..

There is no earthly reason you need more than one VPN. I’ve read ridiculous articles or I should say reviews, because anyone with the education to land a job writing an article knows that they only need one VPN, even on this apps reviewer‘s. Multiple lifetimes subscriptions to different applications? Sub subscribe to the best one, for me it’s Nord, it just depends on your needs. Do a little bit of research, find out what VPN company goes hard on the features you need. End of discussion

Works well, mostly. The tracker mapper is a great feature and can be very enlightening.

I use a few different VPN services that I pay for, and occasionally I will get very slow SpeedTest results while connected to Freedome.

When this happens, I’ll switch to another one of the providers (say OpenVPN with PrivateTunnel or NordVPN) or just turn VPN off and retest. For whatever reason, my speeds increase and results are back where they should be.

These speed issues are rare though and not enough for me to knock more than one star off.

I paid for a year with Freedome even though I have other paid VPN subscriptions (one lifetime, another 3-years, another expires in 16
months).

In my opinion, FSecureFREEDOMEVPN and service are worth the price. Will update this review if that changes.

I have used F-Secure products for a number of years. The products deliver exceptional quality and value for your money. On the occasions that I have had to use their support services have been few and quick. The support staff are very knowledgeable and quick to correct any issue.

I use FSecureFREEDOMEVPN all the time. It can be tricky in some countries that block VPNs. The area of improvement would be to make multiple device subscriptions easier to use. I can’t seem to link Freeome for MacBook Air with my iPhone and iPad.

Very impressed with this service. VPN services can be glitchy and can interfere with apps, and I haven't experienced any issues at all since I began using this. Battery consumption isn't too bad; I have a lot of apps on my phone that use a lot of juice and the VPN hasn't seemed to make much of a difference there. The tracker feature is very informative. Some of my favorite and most-viewed sites are the biggest offenders here and it's been quite illuminating. All in all - great app and service. Will be renewing my subscription.

FSecure/Freedom works for reliable, easy VPN, with economical options for 10 devices (which we actually use). I still use Express VPN when traveling in Asia, but over the last year, this has been reliable for me in Morocco, South Africa, Quebec/Canada, Turkey, and the East Coast of the U.S.

This happens prolly because the tracking stations don't like this item because for freely downloading an item like they can't sell your information, so I am pretty sure an attempt was made to sabotage FSecureFREEDOMEVPN. Currently not even the wifi on my computer works now, and I downloaded this for my iPhone....I wish the government would protect our right to privacy. Whoever responsible, simply trying to prevent the success of a good app, prolly only for financial gain, is what is occurring here. Get a new phone and number, get the vpn and get out wireshark. Y'all need to carefully analyze all incoming traffic

Seems to be a very effective and easy to use VPN. Impressive are the attempted tracking information if you enable this option for a 24 hours monitoring. It is just amazing which applications are trying to get user information. After installing FSecureFREEDOMEVPN I feel much safer and secure.

Please make turning Freedome VPN on and off available in Siri Shortcuts!

Also please sort the locations by most recently used, so that those continuously changing between the same 2-3 locations can always easily find them at the top.

Freedome by F-Secure is the best VPN service for mobile devices hands-down: I'm hooked!!! Been using it since it first came out (also been a beta tester since almost the beginning) on all of my devices. I've used many others, and none are as slick, fast, and user friendly as Freedome. I trust F-Secure with my privacy and give them my highest recommendation!

I didn’t think this was going to work, but it surely does. I am incredibly impressed with these results. They block people trying to hack. They don’t let you go into any websites they think are bad for you. They make you safely use any WiFi safely. I really really recommend FSecureFREEDOMEVPN over everything else you tried.

Been using this for 3 years on MAC’s, IOS Devices, etc. it’s very easy, works great, and when I had questions about billing their customer service was amazing. One caution, if you want multiple devices and operating systems I have found it better and easier to buy directly from their website.

Love Freedome. Have had it for a few years and use it access European News andTV shows not available to stream in the US.

I am not a huge fan of Tik Tok but do not believe an American president should be wasting time and resources on banning a SoMe app, even if for just a short period of time, only because his ego cannot take videos making fun of him.

This vpn does exactly what I want it to--it quietly sits in the background and works. I'm happy with its performance, and am very happy that my frequent use of airport and coffee shop wifi is not out in the clear for the world to read.

My only complaint is that once in a while, I get a screen from Google wanting me to prove I'm not a robot (I guess because lots of people are hitting Google from the same VPN exit point.)

I travel a lot and even though I have a Macbook with some built in security the Freedome gave me a larger sense of safety and freedom the work on important documents. There were times when I could not connect so I used my phone with Freedome and created a hotspot. Easy to turn on and off when needed.

As a long term die-hard F-Secure fan for over ten years, I find this VPN as sadly lacking in its’ ability to consistently provide a connection for my devices. Please understand, I’ve used F-Secure Anti-Virus and other related products, with stellar success, until this product. Unfortunately, the VPN seems to have an extremely difficult time finding a connection, especially during known high volume internet spikes throughout the business day, and such challenges seem to linger day after day, week after week.
I used to almost sound like a F-Secure salesman; expounding their excellent products to all who would listen. Yet now, I find myself sourly disappointed with this VPN software, and its ongoing inability to “find a connection”.
Unfortunately, utilizing a VPN is a requirement in today’s internet age; I only hope that F-Secure will rise to the challenge of providing a product that will work flawlessly...as their current product fails to connect 86.7% of the time I am attempting to utilize my connection. Best of luck to you at F-Secure! Unfortunately I cannot wait around for your products to work appropriately, I have to fins another provider.

I signed up for the free trial before going to China. It works here and let’s me use Facebook and read other blocked sites like google. I have now bought the 1 year subscription . I just wish there was a package I could get for multiple devices.

I’ve had this product for a number of years now. It is lightweight on your system and will has not slowed down any system it has been installed on. Handles everything on all my I-phones and PCs without any interruptions. I’m assuming that the VPN is doing its encryption and ad trackers have been almost completely cut out. Also harmful sites get blocked on a regular basis. Other neat and interesting features as well.

I actually find this VPN incredibly worthy unlike the many garbage VPNs I have tried (at least 10+). This by far did the best job and I’m telling you, it doesn’t work at minimum capacity - it is extremely reliable and keeps on protecting! I do a lot of travel and work trips abroad so I need a VPN that not only protects me on public networks, but also disguises my location so I can access sites that I use locally at home. Further than that, a lot of VPNs don’t allow you to choose your location WHILE having a strong connection to a server. I’ve had several where it allows me switch to a server that is close to home but it’s such a weak connection it doesn’t even work (so what’s the point?) I love that it’s fast, reliable, maintains a steady connection, and tells you what it’s protecting you from.

The negatives are that the login is very unclear how to access your accounts which was frustrating at first and that you can’t choose a very specific location of the VPN (it gives general regions of the US and such but I want a specific city). If they could improve those two details, it would be P E R F E C T.
