Big downgrade

Where are all the options and access to the various features that used to be available in the previous app?? I’m not able to make any electronic payments, I can’t access my zoomit, it’s so hard to find anything. What was the purpose of this change??

total waste of resources

I don’t understand what was that even for? It’s the same app with less functions, and horrible new design, where everything looks the same. The Search function isn’t working - gives a “something went wrong” message. It was crappy also in the old app with no sorting or any advanced search options, but now it’s simply broken. App settings don’t exist so I cannot even chage the way it looks. Finding anything there now is a quest - in the old app at least all the menu functions were in the left drawer clearly listed - now they are all over the place. There is no option to order account statements too!
ING has one of the worst banking apps and now making it even worse. It almost feels like they just had to lounder some budget and didn’t care about the result.

Fix the bugs before releasing

Cannot complete security registration due to “technical problem”. Now I’m cut off from my bank account and I cannot do any operation from my phone.
Revise your procedures, this cannot happen.

Not good

Really plain and simple, not good. Even after second update, can’t open to view PDF in payments...plus overall design and functions in previous App much more user friendly

Just why?

The old app was actually pretty good. This one displays less info and makes it harder to get to, especially on smaller screens. The only thing this appears to add is Payconiq support, but Payconiq itself is a Belgian solution looking for a problem.
Used for one day and went back to the old app.

Credit card statements

İt’s unacceptable we can not access our credit card statements online when every other of your competitors, even Beobank, has gone for paperless. We still keep getting Visa card statements by mail, in a very old fashioned way with ING living in Stone Age. What a waist!!

I want my previous app back Ing!

I don’t see anything related to be ‘faster, better’ about this new app that my existed/previous app’s log in screen forced me to download this new version. They removed a lot of functions. Neither I can set my limits nor can see my accounts. No settings/control at all...

No Search Feature?!?

Why would a bank delete the transaction search feature in its new app...when it had it on the previous version? This is more than inconvenient to customers. All other banking apps that I know of have a search feature. ING, please make this right.

Please give me back the old app

ING is forcing users to move to INGBanking because they will discontinue the old one, which was much better than the new app. This new app doesn’t look as good and the interface is not as polished as the ‘old app’, at least on my iphone 8. ING, why are you forcing your clients to move to this inferior app?!?!?

Non-functional app again

After using the new app for several months to do all my transactions, now suddenly my current account does not show up in INGBanking . This is why I never used the old app. Unbelievable that the “new” app is now completely useless, just like the old one.

Can not identify my card

I inserted all the shown digits from the card reader and it displays a message saying “oops your card has been blocked” or “oops it seems we have a technical difficulty”

Not connecting with Bancontact while ordering online

When selecting Bancontact online and selecting load the banking app, the ing banking app just loads the bank account overview screen and doesn’t show the payment option to process. Had always the same issue with this new app while never with the old please fix!

Now what I wanted is sold out 😭

Dowgrade

The new app is actually a downgrade and not an update. My previous settings are gone. Now my savings account is also visible in INGBanking while previously I removed this option... also not possible to do it by home banking!
Ing, you are a huge bank, how can you justify this horrible app? Test your software before releasing it!
By the way, my settings are all in dutch and not in English as before 😡😡😡😡

No more option to apply credit card online

I was in the process of applying for credit card online on the old app but now this one doesn’t give you that option. With COVID, I prefer not to go into Bank personally and do my banking online. This one offers no exciting new option rather downgraded version of last one.
But they encourage to switch anyway as the support for old app will stop in September.

New app is no improvement

I downloaded just now the new app on iPhone but am not able to insert amount with a decimal e.g 50,43 shows as 5043. I know how to use the keypad on the iPhone Called customer service and follows their advice I.e. switch off phone and re-install INGBanking . Both actions without any result
Me too much preferred the previous app and was also my main reason to stay with ING
Please advise how to solve as need to be able to perform mobile transfers

1. functionality disappeared. some answer from the development team indicates the vision of ING. that is, to push a product without any consideration for the outcome or the job-be-done.

2. no warning of single account restriction. register your first account using the outdated card reader and ... absolutely NO WAY to add additional accounts.

call support and the answer is : install INGBanking on ANOTHER phone. i will let know that this REGRESSION is important to you.

3. the net is as follows : new UI (user interface) that suits ING and loss of capacities to manage your money efficiently.
i guarantee that surveillance and intrusion of accounts will be on the rise. as well as fees. and of course no evidence of data privacy respect nor of hacking shielding.

4. ethics are absent from banking and definitely from ING.

Doesn’t work at all

INGBanking no longer works; I can’t log in at all, support has tried to fix it but after over a month of trying they still can’t repair it. I can’t see my balance, I can’t transfer, I can’t pay with QR. INGBanking is completely and totally broken.

UPDATE: Develop responded to me and asked me to call their main hotline. I’ve called the number at least 10 times and wait over 40 minutes each time and they still don’t solve my problem. It’s been over three months. No one cares and no one updates me. I’m thinking the best way to fix INGBanking is to close my accounts.

Downgrade from previous app

Less features than in the previous app, but the biggest problem is that Bancontact payments do not work when transferring from another app. I used to get a screen asking which banking app I wanted to select, and now any Bancontact payment goes straight to INGBanking which loads the Home Screen rather than the Bancontact feature. To use Bancontact I have to uninstall INGBanking and use another bank’s app. Very annoying to then have to reauthenticate with the card reader every time with a reinstallation of INGBanking . I kept my account at ING (after getting a much better home loan elsewhere) because of the ease of the old app... now considering to close it if INGBanking doesn’t get fixed soon.

Awful

This upgrade is awful...... it is a total waste of time and effort. Nothing on it is better than before and to top it off I have to reset all my sign in criteria!!! This is a horrible app

Getting better with every version

This version earned another review, it feels like the developers actually read them.
So, thank you for the search feature, and dark mode. Really appreciated.
I feel you are just a few updates from completely replacing the old app.
This version is snappier, more modern, and I don't feel the need to use the old one anymore.
Keep up the good work!
