Went looking for this 1099 document in the Synchrony Bank app but as far as I can see there is no way to see if you even have any documents let alone view or download it then. O.K. this is not an uncommon thing with apps as missing info such as this is often available via a company’s website. So I log on to Synchrony’s website and after a little digging I find the relevant page that purports to allow one to view and download one’s 1099 for a specific year. I click on the correct button, a spinning circle appears and spins for maybe 10 secs or so then nothing. I’m back to the button again. I’m using an iPhone 12 running the latest version of IOS and the most recent version synchrony’s app. To make things worse you’ve now lowered your flipping savings interest rate to 80% of Ally Bank’s current savings interest rate!!!! So what gives synchrony bank? You can do better than this guys....

I had an account with Synchrony bank and it was opened in August of 2019 and I had gotten a loan from a loan company and somehow that money was placed in the wrong type of account and for some reason they placed a restriction on my account and never would explain to me why that was done and now here it is 2022 and they closed my account without me knowing until they emailed me and told me my accounts were closed but without an explanation and so I called them and I was informed they would send me a letter explaining why my accounts were closed and I still haven’t received any letter from them explaining the reason and I’m still waiting but not for long I will be calling them until I get an answer as to why my accounts were closed and want to know what happen to my money that was in my accounts. Anyone have any advise as to what I should do?

I just received my new Master card and activated it . So far SynchronyBank is really simple
Just look at charges ,credit available and make and make a payment.
I suppose that I expected more information to be available like cash advance amount , notifications,etc. But will use some more and update in a few months and then maybe I can give a higher rating . But for now I guess I would say it does what’s most important

I really like the features and functionality of SynchronyBank. It has everything I could ever want in a banking app. All that being said, I consistently have an issue with signing in using Face ID on iPhone. I will enter my password, enable Face ID, and go about my business. Face ID will work maybe just once or twice before SynchronyBank forgets it. Then I have to go into my password manager and copy my password, reenable Face ID, and again it will only work a couple times. Very frustrating to deal with, please fix this! Thank you

I opened a checking account with this bank, deposited a check. The check settled and I tried to move my funds to my main bank account and I got flagged for suspicious activity. They left me in the dark for months, so I decided to reach out and they still could not help. Made me wait on the phone for hours just to have a manager tell me that they are unable to help. I just received a letter saying my account was closed, and NO information on the whereabouts of my money. Don’t bank with these CROOKS! Crypto is the answer to all these crooks and regulations that help the crooks!!! Banks days are numbered and I expect synchrony to be the leader of the depreciation!

Setting up and managing money in and out is safe, and a breeze. Adding external accounts is easy to do.
The best part is having high cash savings rates and short term CD’s.
Far superior customer service compared to the brick and mortar banks.

It’s a good app for handling transfers and checking balances. But I have a minor annoyance that keeps me from giving it 5 stars. SynchronyBank seems to constantly forget I’ve already set up facial recognition, and reverts to requiring the password to be filled in, then asking me for the thousandth time if I wish to enable facial ID. Please make it remember! Every 4-5 logins I have to re-enable it

Thanks for a very smooth user experience within the Synchrony app; overall very happy. One request would be a confirmation number furnished at the time of transaction submission, i.e., I'm not receiving a confirmation number when I submit a transfer. This one improvement would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Can you add the purchase amount and store information WITHIN the text notification for purchases that exceed your desired threshold (reference capital one - great features).

This would allow quick reference via text as opposed to logging in each time to get the purchase amount/store on the general text notification.

I like SynchronyBank . Yes it is user friendly, font size, colors and so on are good to understand . BUT, I have a big but here because it does not work out of states. It worked at very first time but now I am not able to log in it. It is my 2nd month out of states and I still have a month to get back. Still I am able to use web browser but I want make all via app.

When will push notification and text alert security feature be enabled? I want to receive alerts when transactions occur in my account. SynchronyBank doesn’t have a sleek design, but it handles the basics for a banking app. Would like to see a complete app redesign that includes notifications.

It is also fast to get to all my information without signing in

Great job folks! You’ve fixed the bug where every 3rd or 4th time I launched it with Apple face recognition or finger print, it indicated that a change in authentication had been detected and required manual log in. Well deserved 5 stars!

SynchronyBank is very buggy. Never used to be. I had all kinds of issues adding an external bank account. Tried chat, no one responded kept timing out, tried calling, long wait time. Tried chat again and got through. Got the account verified. Now a week or so later the Transfer button keeps giving an error and says try again later. Doesn’t want to work when it is convenient for me. Frustrating!

All my other cards have had an app for a few years now. This one finally got on board and has made making payments so much easier!

I seem to have recurring difficulties accessing my account on their web site, but SynchronyBank is easy, reliable, and lets me do the things I need access for.

The Synchrony Bank app is perfect for my savings needs - has everything I need to check in on my savings accounts and the look and feel is as good as it gets with bank apps

Got SynchronyBank to be able to deposit checks. Well that feature doesn’t work. An error has occurred. Every time I try. If it ever works I’ll update my review.

Finally! I can get into my Synchrony account to view statements and make payments. Getting into the website always has some problem.

Very good job. An app was all you were missing. I keep all my banking apps in a folder, and I had been saving a spot for you. Worth the wait.

I like to use large font size on my phone and while most apps don’t support it, this one looks amazing with big numbers and text. it let’s me check my balance just by asking Siri!

I’m so excited to see a native app to be able to manage my account. I love the look and feel of the design and feel like there’s a very simple feel to SynchronyBank that intuitively makes sense. This is a great first step!

So nice that I can use face id and touch id to login. Glad they have an app for debit cards now! Would definitely recommend this instead of using the website!! Super easy to use!

Every single night around the same time, it either glitches, says is unavailable and even sometimes says I don’t even have an account which I obviously do otherwise I wouldn’t be writing this review. It’s just ridiculous that in 2019 (almost 2020) that you don’t have a smooth running app, just makes me think it goes the same way for the company...just sad.

SynchronyBank is clean and well done. No issues getting on it and viewing the accounts. Siri enabled is a plus. I have not made a deposit yet so can’t review that. Over all this was much awaited.

Saves a lot of time checking my various account through Synchrony Bank. Especially just by using FaceID to log in — I highly recommend getting SynchronyBank !

Love the ease and simplicity of SynchronyBank! Very easy to see balances, set up transfers, monitor activity. Also love the widget feature... don’t need to go past it to see my balances.

Just tried to the new app. Beautiful UI, very quick. Can check my balances, move money, make deposits etc. very nice

I’ve been wanting this ever since I opened a Synchrony account. My recommendation is to integrate 1Password in your next release

Very simple to use ... anything you need to do to your account you can do in SynchronyBank .

SynchronyBank was fantastic until the last month or so, now none of the functions are working. I’ve called customer support for help and they weren’t sure what the issue was or why it keeps happening.

Keeps saying my password needs to be updated. Logged in on the website said the same thing. Reset. Logged into SynchronyBank , asked to reset AGAIN. After resetting through SynchronyBank , asked to reset again!
