Please fix contacts

This is a 5-star app with one glaring issue: contacts do not resolve in call/chat history unless they are stored in the workspace. My expectation is that I can keep all of my contacts on my device, make calls, and have them resolve to names in call history. If there are other members to the same workspace, the numbers in call history should resolve only if the contacts exist in the workspace or on their own device. Local contacts should take precedence (or, it should be a setting for each member, or at the workspace level, or even the device / app level). If contacts absolutely must be in the workspace for some inexplicable reason, then contact syncing should be a thing. There is a “coming soon” feature to import Google contacts “one way and one time”. This doesn’t seem like a very useful feature for iOS users. It is also not contact syncing.

Very Glitchy and Intermittent

Not the best experience. Extremely glitchy and Phone2 /service only works intermittently. Toggling speakerphone during a phone call “breaks the call” and you remain stuck. You have to restart the call in order to fix it. People also complain of the number not working and you being unreachable. I was prompted to write this review after I tried opening Phone2 just now and nothing is working. Just spinning and spinning. Tried force closing Phone2 and reopening but it’s still buffering and none of the 3 pages (messages, dial pad, contacts) are working. Extremely disappointed, especially since I paid for the lifetime service and doubt they’ll give me a refund.

Doesn’t work

I had such high hopes for Phone2. I purchased Phone2 because I wanted to use one number for myself and my partner in business. Phone2 worked for a few weeks and now nothing. It will ring and when we try to answer it never connects. I tried twice to get help with Phone2 , but no one ever responded. I purchased the lifetime membership so I feel like I really lost a lot of money, and to make matters worse the number is on all my promo materials, and I can’t even port the number out. Unfortunately, all I can do is let the phone ring and go to voicemail and call back the person calling me. This is definitely not ideal for us because sometimes people don’t leave voicemails.

AVOID

I had an extremely disappointing experience with this app. Not only did I encounter multiple, prolonged call and text outages that made it impossible to reliably run my business, but their support was nearly non-existent—some tickets remained unanswered for weeks. The features they advertise, such as call forwarding and Google contacts integration, were nowhere to be found, which felt blatantly misleading. Considering the amount of time I spent trying to get help and the promises made about upcoming features that never materialized, I cannot recommend this app to anyone looking for a dependable, feature-rich communications solution.

Worst Application

This application doesn’t allow us to send MMS. Also, my SMSs were worked fine for the first 2 days. Now the text messages aren’t working either. It has been 3 days and I am stuck with this application. Paying the monthly subscription without the ability to use it for anything. The worst thing is that there is no way to contact their support team to help me sort this issue. To make things worse, I cannot even sign in to the application anymore. Pathetic platform!

Plenty of bugs

Phone2 is full of bugs to the point that the reliable communication is not possible. You can’t put anyone on hold and take the call back, cancelling an incoming call and making an outgoing call does not work, phone interface during the call is not always visible (can’t use the keyboard for the navigation in the menus)…. Kind of disaster!

Unable to unsubscribe from text message lists

I have tried to unsubscribe from multiple text message lists and I get an error message from Phone2 each time I send the message “stop.” There is no way to block spam. It is really frustrating. If I could unsubscribe from text lists, I would be happy with the service. As is, I am on the verge of silencing or deleting Phone2 .

App is fine, but the support…

The software itself works but the support is non-existent. It’s hard to even find a working support channel and when you do, they DO NOT respond. I’m trying to get my phone number registered with the FCC; the self-service mechanism does not work and this app does not respond. Because of this, I can’t use SMS functionality, which is important for my business. Like I said - the tech is good but you will not get the help you need. Go with another option if you need a reliable service.

Its great…. When it works.

I love Phone2 when it works. But more times than not i find myself not able to use it as it gets stuck at times and no way to use it and have to close Phone2 and reopen again. Its kinda frustrating.

Needs Updated

When it works, it does good. About 75% of the time it does not work right. Calls won’t connect and you have to either call them back or hope they call back. And that is in excellent cell service and excellent Wi-Fi. Emailed the help section and never got a response. I know multiple people that have the same issue with Phone2 not connecting properly. So it is not just me.

Cannot send text messages

I have not been able to send text messages. After messages it beings up a red text message that says I need to set up something. Have no clue what to do.

Sound Quality Is Better Than My T-Mobile Line

I’m really impressed so far with Phone2. I was using GrassHopper and they charged me $425 a year for less features, worse UI, and lower sound quality. This is perfect for businesses that just want a simple easy to use phone system.

So far so good!

I purchased this phone system for a new business venture. Had a little challenge figuring out how to set it up properly at the beginning, but once done, it seems to work well for phone calls and texting. The price is right and Tech Support has been available and helpful.

Great for small businesses

So far very easy to use and intuitive. This should help my startup business a lot in the coming days. Their product is much better than traditional VoIP providers, allow greater flexibility with smaller teams (don’t know about larger teams yet). I will update my review if I encounter any issues!

Seems to work great

Just got the lifetime pro for $129 and everything seems to work perfectly. In the process of porting my Skype Number as Skype is retiring this is my new alternative for when I'm often out of the US. Will set up with my bank for ota passcodes and hopefully won't have any problem as that is the main reason for me to have gotten Phone2 and the website ads show it works with banks for ota 2fa passcodes. Will update if it does or doesn't work.

Great team or personal phone

Got this for my team. It’s fantastic because now all inbound calls ring to all users who I share the phone number with. Setup was a snap. Can’t get easier than this. Happy someone finally built this. And the ability to have multiple numbers in the same app saves me from a lot of digital clutter. Highly recommended!

One of the best investments - Hands down!

If you are not using this app then you are not working efficiently or you are paying way too much. Super easy to use app for the whole team. SMS messaging and team answering. You can even stack phone numbers for multiple businesses! The service is also top notch! Responses in minutes to support questions. I could not for anything more in an app. Once again, best investments ever!

Easy Set up & Excellent Sound Quality

I purchased this number for a business phone, so I don’t have to give my personal number that for family and friends. Thus far, it works fantastic, but I do need to try it out with more people—I’ll update this review if something changes. I’m using and iPhone 13 and the newest IPad Pro… and the phone quality has been great. At he onset, the set up was easy… I got a new number… that was easy too. Thanks, Ed

Awesome Alternate Number For Business!

This service is exactly what we needed for our small business! I love that I can easily update our phone greeting and that Phone2 interface is user-friendly. I needed customer service assistance for a small issue and got a response and resolution in less than 24 hours. There is additional functionality that I'm not currently using, but I'm happy that there are more benefits to take advantage of as my business grows.

Finally

Phone2 is great! I now have two work lines and a personal line all while using the same phone. I’ve already saved a ton of money getting rid of my other dedicated lines. Awesome!
