Today in the news I read that Craigslist at last have an app for mobile devices. The News review wasn’t so encouraging and clear. So I decided to go and checked out, but before I download it I read all the others whom downloaded. Still it wasn’t so encouraging yet, and I read the bad reviews, the one star review, I wasn’t so much excited about it and I thought it would be like some apps who implement their app using the website control inside the app. Even Craigslist description wasn’t so fancy nor clear. So at the end I decided to download it, and said what the heck it’s only 19MB, large at all. So I played with it a little bit and I said WOW, it is way way way much better than their Stone Age website. It is implemented in a very professional way and accurate way, the user interface is excellent. The search, edit, delete, create post is so easy and clear. Not to forget to mention all the old, old posts the was created under your email, long time ago shows up and you can repost and edit the again. All your posts you work on are in one place, you don’t have to search for them or go through your old emails to find them. Though there is one or two minor bugs I found (which I’ll mention them later. That’s it very good app from Craigslist. Thank you. Good job.
Nice and Clean
Interface is smooth, not clunky. Liking the ability to Swipe left on the title in order to favorite or hide a listing. Images are sharp and overall usability is pretty straight forward. Quite frankly, it’s a simplistic style that many of us have been waiting on and expected from Craigslist (which is already known for its usability by even the most novice of users). No longer do we have to use 3rd party apps that we’re trying to do what we knew CL could do themselves. Good job!
Worth the wait?!
Free stuff to a house in how many trades? Clearly, this app has been a long time coming...about 7 years longer than most of us wanted, I expect. After only a little use, this app looks very polished. Clearly Craigslist worked hard on getting this right. The fonts are big and clear. The interface is responsive and seems to have all the functionality I want - not just search, but also favorites (saved postings), posting creation and Craigslist account access. I’m also pleased to see a feedback form right up front, as well, which hopefully means they are looking to be responsive to improvement ideas and reported problems. Way to go, Craigslist! Well done!
