Coinomi Wallet Reviews

I’ve been using CoinomiWallet for a while and, for the most part, have been enjoying it. But today I went to send some coin, unlocked my wallet to compete the transaction and the interface kicks you back to the send tab without saying a thing. No confirmation button indicating that the transaction was initiated and my transaction wasn’t on the send list. So I refresh and refresh, nothing on the transaction list. I thought I must have hit something wrong I’ll try again. After sending a second time, same interface experience. But now I see my first transaction in the list, with the correct time and after waiting about 90 seconds and constantly hitting refresh, my second transaction shows up.

That’s just unacceptable. The interface, upon successful send, should update immediately to reflect the transaction is in progress.

I was moving coin to one of my own alternate wallets, thank goodness, but I can’t use a wallet with a buggy interface, that’s just dangerous.

Coinomi is one of the best cryptocurrency wallets available. It requires you to write down your private key words and then make sure you did it be having you correctly order those words upon your first log in. Excellent feature to encourage sound custody. The user experience is very good too. But There is a very nice, very SPECIAL feature that pushes CoinomiWallet over the top: sweeping funds from private keys. Whether it’s a physics coin like Casascius or an old paper wallet, CoinomiWallet makes this often-tricky part of crypto incredibly easy for anyone. THANK YOU COINOMI.

I rarely make App Store reviews, but since I like to read reviews before I decide to download and ultimately trust CoinomiWallet with holding my currency, I’ve decided to pay it forward.
I use Coinomi for converting easy-to-purchase cryptos(bitcoin, ethereum etc.) into Monero. CoinomiWallet has a built-in exchanger that I think is extremely convenient. They send the converted crypto straight to your in-app wallet.
You can also purchase crypto with your credit/debit card within CoinomiWallet but unfortunenly from experience not all cards work. You just have to try to see if your card allows the purchase or not.
CoinomiWallet ’s interface always shows your crypto worth in USD so you’ll instantly be able to see if the value in USD went up or not.
Also shows your the current value of the crypto.
I would recommend this to anyone who’s looking for a easy to use hot wallet on iPhone.

Coinomi seemed to be a decent wallet for storing and swapping tokens at first but CoinomiWallet won’t allow me to withdraw or swap any of my crypto due to an app error now. I’ve updated my app to the newest version and I still have the same issue. The live support team told me to wait 24-48 hours for an IOS update in order to continue sending or swapping. It’s been a week now and my crypto is still locked up. This is a terrible situation. Once or if I can even send my coins out of the wallet I will never use CoinomiWallet again. Time is money and having it trapped on this wallet is a bad look for this company. I recommend any other wallet besides this one

I used this wallet to test disaster recover with a recovery key from an extra Ledger that has tiny amounts of various coins. It pulled the accounts right up. I was impressed with its ability to accept a 25th word when applicable. Now I am familiar with the process should I need to pull my crypto off my main seed in a hurry, if the seed is deemed burned, or if I want to change seeds. It has a great user interface. This is my go to hot wallet. Great job.

Allows most if not all coins. Allows multiple wallets of the same coin which is something I’ve had a problem with in other apps. Easy to use. Once is saved my a... because the seller pulled up a BTC wallet for a BCH transaction and I scanned it without paying attention and it kept the transaction from going through.

This wallet seems to be very secure, unless you use a cold wallet, you’d probably have a hard time finding another wallet that could beat this one.

My one and only complaint is the fees charged by Simplex (I’m US based). Boy oh boy. I deposited 50 USD, and I ended up only getting roughly 36 in my wallet.

There was no where on CoinomiWallet that states the fees, when purchasing BTC. I guess it’s my fault for not checking Simplex’s website, but holy crap what a scam. It would be cheaper for me to buy BTC on Coinbase, and transfer that to Coinomi.

Can we please get more third party developers for us to purchase crypto with? I don’t know enough to know if that’s a stupid question or not. But, I’m looking at switching over to another company in the meantime. Maybe the system Coinomi uses is normal, but that doesn’t make it okay.

Rated 3 stars (yesterday I’d have rated 5, today I rate it 1 or 2..) Until yesterday (prior to updating app) it worked flawlessly and would rate with top marks. Now after the update it won’t open, stalls, and then crashes!! Downloaded to a new device, recovery with seed phrase worked, BUT now app freezes . I hope as praising this wallet (as it’s my most used) but now this is causing me serious concerns and I’m about to migrate if this isn’t resolved immediately. .. HELP /fix this or I’m on to the next one, thanks in advance.

I have been using the wallet for a few years and really have had no issues. Everything has always worked and I love the options. It is a good multi coin wallet that has been around for a while. 👍

So I use Coinomi on my pc and have access to all the coins but on the Coinomi app it only gives me options for the top coins or so 50 coins max. Which doesn’t allow me to see my total that is displayed on my pc. Specifically dai, is not available. Please fix this. I will increase my rating. Otherwise it needs more coin options and improvements here and there with the apps refresh rate and drop down menu.

I’ve found that it may take a minute when unlocking wallet/sending your crypto where it is unlocked however the interface doesn’t update as soon as you’d prefer. May lead to some confusion about whether or not you unlocked something or really sent funds or not, other than that it works fine !

Great tool for holding bitcoin and transferring as needed, I recommend CoinomiWallet to anyone who tells me they’re trying to use or hold bitcoin. Great app to use as a wallet, but they also have purchasing features that you can use if you don’t buy btc elsewhere

Be careful with exchange within app using Changelly. Exchanged less than $120 to USDC and ended up with $27 in fees. In my opinion, this is getting to be not worth it to swap to another coin. It was better not to swap and leave the funds on the current coin. I understand the need to make money but this is getting out of hand. Example: Ethereum Network.
Another competitor is going to find a better way to do this.

It would help if they notified us ahead that leaving it in the wallet can diminish its value. More important than that is CoinomiWallet needs a better layout. I also hope to see it become more used, ie it would help if they simplified it so stores can use it to buy & sell using Bitcoin & Bitcoin, itself.

For those of us just learning how to buy and sell bitcoin, this program has made it easy to learn and understand each step.

I have been very satisfied with the results and have shared this with my friends and family.

They have an excellent security system which was a little bit picky 🤪 But the transfer was smooth and easy once I was approved thank goodness there is a site like this if you need to transfer funds and you don’t have a Coinbase this is a route to go

I have used several crypto wallet apps, this has been my favorite. Exchange built into app. Multi Bitcoin wallet type support. If you run into trouble be sure to refresh or resync. Use process transactions if you see unprocessed in your wallet history. GLHF! Great app guys, Thanx!

Using the latest 1.10.2 crashes almost none, but still hangs when opening CoinomiWallet sometimes.

An older version lost some Monero that was sent to me. I’m told that it should be there but that CoinomiWallet just didn’t register it.

how sad is it that Apple approves so many scamming crypto applications into their App Store when nearly 9 out of 10 apps WON'T LET THE USER WITHDRAWAL THEIR FUNDS ONCE THEY HIT YOUR IN-APP ACCOUNT/WALLET. Seriously, ive got so much crypto locked in so Many different apps that i can't even keep track of them all anymore. WHY DO YOU FAIL SO MUCH THESE DAYS, APPLE? Oh bc Steve Jobs is dead; that's right. Nvm carry on. And Don't bother commenting, Mr app developer bc all your canned responses are obviously just that and not to be trusted. How do you live with yourselves.

CoinomiWallet doesn’t work on my iPhone 12pro max. Immediately I registered CoinomiWallet just disappeared and return me to my phone home page. I try opening CoinomiWallet again and again and it will just take me out of CoinomiWallet . Like it keep closing or should I say crashing. I have been trying it countless times now and it won’t even let me go into CoinomiWallet . It just crash everything I try to open it

The integration of many crypto currencies is a really nice feature. I think that some of the negative reviews are from older versions of the Wallet before everything was fully implemented. The ability to have a direct link to the Changelly website is pretty cool so you can exchange USD for BTC, etc.

Impressive “most”in one wallet. I say most because I honestly expected it to have at the very least, the Top 100 coins instead of seeing all those Half a**coins that nobody wanted to invest in. I’d rather have Ripple on there instead of “FUCKtoken” 😑point made. Oh could you be generous and gift CoinomiWallet with a night mode!?

I had multiple cryptocurrencies stored in my coinomi wallet on my Galaxy Note 8 & i downloaded CoinomiWallet on my iPhone 8 Plus when i switched over. I attempted to restore my wallet on the coinomi app with the recovery phrase & it did not restore any of my coins. I contacted coinomi on twitter in which they responded with instructions that i followed but still it did not recover my coins. My recovery phrase is accurate, i wrote it on paper & also printed out a picture. Be aware you can LOSE all of your coins.

Coinomi is an amazing wallet. Ive been exploring the variety of cryptocurrencies using faucets and exchanges such as allcoins and stakecube. Stratis, syscoin, groestlcoin, verge and minex are some that have worked well with me. Havent quite figured a pivx or navcoin route but thats what ive been looking into. A++++ coinomi. Excellent app.

The new update has problem with dark mode and doesn't show completely anx correctly coins and balances in the main page

This is my favorite mobile wallet. It is extremely user friendly, it has so many coins and tokens, and to add and sort them is very easy.

I really liked CoinomiWallet for a couple months now. Lately (over the last 3 months) it seems like the more coins I'd add to my wallet, the more CoinomiWallet became unresponsive when demanding my password. As of today (September 28, 2018) it seems to receive coins just fine but to try to do anything with them is more painful than pulling teeth.

Coinomi iOS app is crashing every time I try to access it. Sometimes I can enter a number or two for my PIN before it crashes, but otherwise I cannot access my wallet at all. I have used cellular connection, multiple different wifi networks with strong connections and that has not showed any changes. I am using an iPhone XS Max with 512GB on Sprint network in USA.

Update from my previous review:: they added all the coins I used, making this the only wallet I use on iOS. Good job. Almost instant gratification.

Everything is good but in new update we see problems please fix this problem ( i see one transaction , twice )

One of the best multi currency wallets out there. Supports all major and many obscure coins. Also supports manual addition of ERC20 ETH tokens. My only qualm is that I quite often have to re-add my ERC20’s as they occasionally drop off CoinomiWallet at random.

I'll change my rate when the peercoin(PPC)is gonna connect to server !
its about 2 week I cant see my peercoin balance and I cant exchange that ! its not good! if this coin not ok why you put that in your wallet ?!

I did originally have issues with sweeping my wallet and accessing my funds but the team at coinomi was helpful and walked me through the process!!! Definitely a great app!!!!!
