The people are incompetent. We are high net worth clients with the private client services and we still do not get a minimum of services. We pay over 3000 euros a year in fees to chase people down for months to try and resolve simple issues or get questions answered and it is not like we ask much from them. We have accounts with them in three countries. If I was not American born I would bank elsewhere. Being born in the US no bank wants you in Europe because of regulations even with a net worth in the 8 digest. I would recommend anyone to bank elsewhere not at HSBC. The people at our old local branch are much nicer people.
The on-boarding / sign-up for new customer is amongst the worst in the industry. You need 3 pass-phrases, 2 passwords, 2 activations keys which comes with a big delay of email server response. Not information are given to user as why all these crazy steps are necessary, as no other HSBC apps from other countries requires this. I couldn’t even see if I couldn't even find where to use Face ID. And if you forgot one of these passwords you gotta call the customer center (paid call).
I have been with HSBC sine a long time and wonder why I am still with them. Their security system for on line banking is terribly cumbersome compared to other banks in the USA. My assigned advisor in Paris ignores my emails and I’m limited to the mobile app to deal with my banking needs. That is pathetic. Looking for a new bank as of now.

Ich hatte einen Kredit über einen Vermittler beantragt. Es wurde ein Konto eröffnet damit das Geld auf mein Konto bei der Hausbank überwiesen werden kann.
Leider stimmt die IBAN nicht ( zu viele Zeichen ). Und der Vermittler fordert eine Versicherung in Höhe von 400,00 €. Auf dem Vertrag der Bank stand Null. Wir hätten natürlich eine Versicherung abgeschlossen, aber da muss man doch aufgeklärt werden. Wir vermuten einen Betrug. Die Kreditsumme war 13.000 € für 48 Monate , Monatl. Rückzahlung 287,75
