Great app. Terrible people running kumu . They’re focus is just how to make money. If you are not suggesting “what kind of campaign” should they run next then your input is useless. It’s all about campaigns and more campaigns. Also, recent updates are really useless and made kumu essentially unusable at times. Mute and Camera buttons are so small now it’s so hard to click them. If you want to swipe left or right to hide chat expect that you will be swiped up or down instead and be transferred to a different stream. There’s also a bug that let’s people see you even if you turned off your camera, they just have to watch using the website on a desktop computer - anonymously. Big privacy issue. Lastly, this app POLICE apparently gets an incentive whenever they hit a certain number of people reported for “violating” kumunity guidelines - so expect these rude “officers” to end your stream just because they did not like your profile picture. I have never experienced anything like this in many other livestreaming apps that I have used but hey this is what separates you from the others right? Your rude employees. So if you want to start live-streaming, I suggest you do it elsewhere. 💁🏼‍♀️

I downloaded and deleted kumu many times. The only reason that I downloaded it again is to watch a family member since he joined a singing contest again. But I will never keep it because it aggressively forces you to write a review so - here is your review Once you open kumu , a prompt will appear that wants you to click (I am happy or I have question). There is no way to exit so you will be forced to click one of them which took me here. This is so annoying. kumu aggressively sends notification on my phone even when I set it up to not to do so.

As a native pinoy, sometimes kumu makes it embarrassing to watch its streamers & contents. I can only take so much before leaving a live stream because of the overwhelming cringe, not to mention the constant begging for VGs from the more popular streamers or from THOC. It’s embarrassing. More reputation are given to those popular streamers because of the overwatched agencies protecting them, all the while the not-so popular streamers are ignored, or turned into “clicks” (tambay streams) with friends just to gossip amongst themselves & ignore the viewers. There’s way more better apps than this!

kumu promotes bullying, crab mentality, ganging up on people, lying, gaslighting, not investigating an issue properly- POWER TRIPPING. Besides the fact that they take 70% of each streamer's quota dropped on their account, tons of streamers did not get paid for over a year. Wasted time and effort. kumu brings out the toxic behavior in each person. It's a filipino thing right? To feel poweful, bring others down. And when the people they bullied get affected and their mental health is also affected, they GASLIGHT them. They are not sincere. They are only after everyone's money. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

kumu is only good if you want to buy coins and give them away. They will notify you 100 times a day. When you share a tweet, they try to let you allow them to manage your Twitter. kumu is invasive and dishonest. You can go live anytime and see the same 8 robots following you. They don’t throw you into the main stream. I’ve spent $200 app I deserve to have the same access as other creators. But nah kumu is fake until they can fix that or change their business model stay away it’s only here to take your money and take advantage of lonely people.

After trying kumu for a month, I came to conclude it does not exceed my expectation. The moderators often cut off your live stream early if “KP” does not approve of your profile coverpage. This brings me to another topic, “KP” has the power to spy on anyone on their app and they are not afraid to show it. They seem to attack live streamers they don't like by filtering the people who visit the live stream, base on bias decision of unknown individuals.

Lastly, I do believe kumu has the potential to do good for Filipinos around the globe.

I used to like it when I first downloaded kumu . In fact for the first few months, I have been dropping gifts to streamers. But after getting my first GTS level badge, I realized how money-hungry this app is. They release updates only to entice gifters to give more and to spend more on kumu . They actually don’t care about ordinary streamers who do not drop virtual gifts. There are many complaints about delayed payments. Many good singers have stopped streaming and moved to other apps because of the many problems with this app. Also, they do not have transparency about GTS levels, GTS members are left wondering how close or far they are to the next level. If you are still undecided whether to download this app or not, I recommend not to! Go somewhere else!

I love how their representatives handled my concerns. They were friendly, respectful. timely & professional. I specifically commend their patience in the exchange of emails with me. The instructions they gave were easy to follow, explanations were easy to undwrstand. They made sure all my needs were laid on the table and accordingly addressed.

This is one of my faveee apps to use. I started live-streaming for fun and after two months I started to earn actually money from virtual gifts. When I don’t feel like streaming I play their live game shows and it’s honestly SO addicting!! Haha rice is life!!!! I’ve made so many new friends using kumu and it’s become my second home! kumu has such a supportive Kumunity and everyone encourages you to follow your passions! Downloading kumu was the best decision ever!! Salamat this app!!

I download kumu before just to play a Free Games that you will earn real money online. But days go by, i realised that this app is not all about game show and money, i found new Friends and earned love from other family that i met specially this time of pandemic. this app gives a lots of Fun enjoyment and if i missed some stream from my favorite stream, i can playback this app Klips (clips) from recorded livestream. This application help me to gain my confidence and develop my personality.

kumu overall has a great kumunity!!! Chatters are always supporting and I never had a problem with people bothering in the chat. I was one of the streamers for a campaign called #StreamItToWinIt and my experience has been great! this app USA is amazing at keeping their community engaged and at the same time, giving back to them! Definitely did not expect kumu to raise up my weekly screen time 😵‍💫😵‍💫

My concern is buying coins that sometimes it takes so long or sometimes it won’t let you because it keeps asking my password over and over again that it should be automatically. And there’s also a times that I can’t send gift during the streaming, not unless I have to log out and log back in. If this will be fix my overall experience is great. Thank you

I ended up joining kumu through Kumu_USA’s #streamittowinit campaign and quickly fell in love. It’s a great app with a very friendly user interface, within minutes you can find a best friend on kumu ’s incredibly lively and active this app-nity! Apart from watching streams, it’s incredibly easy to start your own, within 2 clicks you’re up and streaming for your friends, family, and other users to watch and support! It’s the all in one streaming and social media platform and it shows! From chill talks to intense games shows, this app has it all and you won’t regret downloading it!

I love this app so much. I have been able to meet amazing people and make connections with people who I would have never have thought I would be able to. First time ever. Livestreaming + Game Shows = this app! Unbelievable. I like when an app combines ideas with less complex UI. I hope you would add Season-based games. Like, when a player is out, the player would still play for points (or this app coins) and increase them to have free passes per question until the season ends. More power to kumu!!! Let’s goooooo

I love meeting new people from all over the world and I love to sing too. I just hope they will develop the technicalities better and I hope there will be more activities in this app. Otherwise I am loving the experience of unity and gaining new friendships. I am glad that it is a Philippine app too.

This past year going into the 2nd year of the pandemic, I found new friends, nurturing community and fellow Filipinos pa with common interests just making me appreciate our culture again and making me feel like I am home again. This is the best app ever!

this app has connected me with Filipinos around the world. As a Mestizo Filipino American I’ve been able to learn more about the Filipino Diaspora, engage in people’s multicultural backgrounds and make new friends.

While the time difference doesn’t always allow me to catch all the new shows I love popping in to random live-streams to say hi and see some familiar names engaging with the audience.

I think this app is the puzzle piece that can unite the global Filipino Kumunity.
