Worse than horrible

I really liked the old mobile app. It was easy to use and intuitive. LibertyTreasuryManagement is complicated, buggy, and hard to use. I did all the pre-steps that were required (why?) but still had issues getting in. Touch ID doesn’t work. Bill Pay has buttons that don’t work. I tried to delete a vendor - that didn’t work. And why does it skip the “State” field when you are adding someone new to Bill Pay? Just doesn’t make sense. I want the old app back.

I use it because I have to

There’s a lot that should be done to LibertyTreasuryManagement. It almost never loads up first try when you go to open LibertyTreasuryManagement . It will buffer nonstop and you have to exit and reload a bunch of times. LibertyTreasuryManagement freezes a lot too. I just upgraded my iPhone to the newest model and LibertyTreasuryManagement is still lousy. Love liberty bank, they just need to redo their app for sure. Use the discover mobile app as a base. That one imo works the best out of all of my finance apps.

Changed from 2 stars to 1 star because LibertyTreasuryManagement stopped working. An automatic bill went through as well and now I can’t access my accounts to ensure there is enough money in the account that my bill is tied to.

Awful.

This looks and feels like I’m trying to access my banking through safari on my iPhone. It does not feel like a smooth well put together app. It’s slow and awkward and miles behind LibertyTreasuryManagement that they shut down in order to launch this. Sure, it works, but it’s not user friendly and it’s far worse than the old mobile banking app. However if you need to use mobile banking and your account is at liberty bank then tough luck. You’re forced to use this awful piece of garbage.

This app is trash. Worst mobile banking experience ever.

The previous app was outdated, but fine. Data loaded quickly and was readily available. This is a super ugly web view. Not even a native interface. Everything takes seconds to load. There’s no nice interface — everything is buried in the top left menu. Check deposit is now slow and clunky. Using it on the website isn’t much better. Separate screen with password entry to enroll TouchID? Please, learn to write an iOS app. Going to switch banks, this is garbage.

Awful!

Holy cow, what a terrible new app. This new app takes over from the old one which was designed as an actual mobile app. LibertyTreasuryManagement is basically just a featureless web browser, accessing the mobile version of the Liberty Bank website.

The worst change, however, is that it doesn't appear possible to enable Touch ID to log in. Because I use a long, complicated password for banking (as one should!) logging in is now a huge pain.

Frankly, that one missing feature is enough to make me consider switching banks.

Where are the account numbers??

I have multiple accounts with Liberty Bank, at least 7! The old app showed the last four digits of all account. This new app shows all my accounts, but I have no way of knowing which one is which. Then I tried to click on each account to at least see the transactions, but you now can not see what the purchase were. The old app worked SO well!! Not sure why they felt the need to “upgrade” it?? I was fine and definitely better than this new one!! Sorry, but not happy!

Must have saved a ton!

Switching vendors must have been financially motivated. Unfortunately, Liberty hasn’t yet disclosed to me, a customer, why they switched web vendors or who they are now working with. LibertyTreasuryManagement is poorly designed. Additionally, LibertyTreasuryManagement has provided what turned out to be inaccurate information regarding available balances and there appears to me a conflict within the packet transfer back and forth with the bank’s computers, resulting misinformation. I am beginning re-evaluate my relationship with this bank. One star because I can’t give it zero.

Aggravating and at whits end

I have banked with this bank for at least 3yrs but now I live out of state and it’s a nightmare. The website doesn’t let me in most the time. Customer Serv says use another search engine and I do but then there is no option to deposit checks. Hello, I have to do that to pay bills. Most things I call cust serv for they are exceptionally nice and can fix the problem but this new one seems to have them scratching their heads too. I might as well just get a new bank. Can’t continue like this and it’s not going anywhere. Just thought others should know. Have a great day.

Unusable

I expected some downtime during the switchover but I still can't use LibertyTreasuryManagement days later! No log-in screen ever comes up. Instead there's just a blurry background and a grey bar that when you swipe down on it gives instructions on how to set up fast balances on the device. Given that I no longer live in New England, I used the mobile check deposit to still deposit checks into my Liberty Bank account. Now that I can't even log into the account, I'm unable to make check deposits so it looks as though I may need to be switching banks very soon due to this new app that is way worse than the old app. Although basic, at least the old app was accessible and you could accomplish what you needed to do.

Not an upgrade by any means

Not only is LibertyTreasuryManagement slower to open every page, it is counterintuitive to navigate and all font sizes are much smaller. I have good vision and find it a bit difficult to read. I can only imagine how hard it is for people with anything less than 20/20. Good luck if you have multiple accounts. I can not order them in a way that works for me. They used to order alphabetically, didn’t in new app so I tried numbering them-they still are in a random order!! Very frustrating. Sadly I am sure Liberty has sunk a lot of money into this change and also have no regard for their customer’s opinions. Sadly I find myself considering changing banks!

Awful.

I would like to preface this by saying I am not against change. I am aware that things need to be upgraded to keep up with the times. However, this new app is complete garbage. Older app was way more user friendly. On the old app, one could make a transfer within seconds. Now, you need to go through two separate screens (while trying to push tabs that are terribly small). To top it off, it’s insanely slow. Get used to watching the “Loading” signal. Liberty would have been better off upgrading the old app as opposed to this new garbage.

UPDATE: Just received an email from liberty bank saying they are taking our opinions into consideration when trying to make LibertyTreasuryManagement better. Doesn’t appear they are actually doing so. LibertyTreasuryManagement remains sub-par, at best. Terribly slow app, while on WiFi or not. App still runs like a web browser on mobile, which creates a generally awful user experience. No updates to address these issues. App remains a 1 Star in my opinion.

App Crashes

I’ve had LibertyTreasuryManagement for a few years now, however the past couple of months I’ve been experiencing issues. Every time I would type in my login credentials and hit sign in, it would say my session has expired and make me login again. It did that for a few weeks and then it wouldn’t even log me in. I would type my credentials and then LibertyTreasuryManagement would crash. I got so frustrated I used my mobile browser to check my account balance. After deleting and reinstalling LibertyTreasuryManagement it is working better, however I feel it will happen again.

Update is worse than original app

This updated app I worse than the original. I hope the bank and developers reads our customer reviews as we’re the ones that make their money.
Log in is slower than original app. Doesn’t matter if it’s WiFi or LTE. LibertyTreasuryManagement is definitely a downgrade. Liberty Bank went cheap with this version. The transaction inquiry page is difficult to understand. Pending transactions at the top is easy to miss if your not looking for it. It doesn’t allow you to view all transactions continuously month to month. You have to select each month from a drop down menu. That is very annoying when you’re trying to compare transactions month to month.
Billpay is horrible. It’s complicated and difficult to use. The calendar on the dashboard is a waste of space. It serves no purpose that doesn’t already show under pending payments. Adding payees is difficult. Billers that used to be electronic payments in the old version, now get paid by check. How is that? As a bank employee for a different bank, I was under the impression all banks use Checkfree for their 3rd party billpay processing. Which means, from version to version the payees should be paid by the same method! Liberty Bank is using a different billpay processing company. Probably one that is cheaper for them. LibertyTreasuryManagement is. Huge disappointment.

Not a fan

First of all, wasn’t made aware that LibertyTreasuryManagement was going to be out of service for a couple days. No email, no letter in the mail. Second, I had to wait all day for the new app to actually work. It wasn’t loading, timed out, said my account didn’t exist. And now that I can actually log in, it still takes too long to load and I’m not a fan of the layout. The old one looked more updated and modern that this one does. I hope they make some more improvements. And soon.

Limited and Often Unavailable

I do most financial transactions on my iPhone. LibertyTreasuryManagement pales in comparison to most apps I use. Unavailable nearly half the time. It looks like it has all the options and functions, yet options don’t work or are extremely limited. Transfers in particular- Scheduled Transfers only show on the day completed, then fully disappear, “No Scheduled Transfers” even though still scheduled; I learned to screenshot the confirmed transfer to create my own record. Sub-par. Call a bank rep and they suggest using laptop instead- no thanks. PLEASE invest in your app to bring it into this decade’s tech efficiency.

Different but fine

Other reviewers reported problems with touch authentication, fast balance, and other features. I had no difficulties with setting up or using any of them.

Another user said loading times were “abysmal”, which was, again, not my experience. While connected to WiFi at home, all menus functioned and all selections that I made promptly moved me to the correct subsection.

As I dig into the scheduled transfers area and the bill pay area, I find that there is room for improvement. It took me a few minutes to figure out how to display upcoming recurring payments. I may just use the full site for that if I find LibertyTreasuryManagement functionality less than perfect.

I have not yet used the mobile capture feature so I cannot comment on that.

I’m happy to see a pair of different themes (display color schemes) that I can choose between. LibertyTreasuryManagement suggests that additional themes might be available in the future so I will watch for that.

Overall, this new app is not a plague on mankind like you might read in some reviews. It does pretty much what you would expect. It looks okay. The menu names are clear and it’s generally easy to use. 4/5

Great bank and app

I have had Liberty Bank for many years and even after moving out of the area, still chose to keep them for certain features other banks lack. LibertyTreasuryManagement works well and is an easy and convenient way to see all my banking info in one spot.

Great App!

LibertyTreasuryManagement is so user friendly. I love being able to do most my banking right on my phone! Cannot wait to see what the new one brings!

Finally functioning, and well

After a rough release day LibertyTreasuryManagement and online banking is working and U personally like it all much more than before. The interface and tools are all much more likeable than the older version and I appreciate the overhaul. Also, I like the organization and amount of data given.

Smooth sailing!

I have had NO issues with the new app or online banking platform. I made sure to pre-register for the new website in advance as the numerous emails requested/instructed. When the new website went live on January 15th I expected there to be some hiccups and remained patience. I understood a new updated app would need to be downloaded and did so with no problems. I can clearly see my pending transactions and all my posted transactions in order as the old system had. If anything the new pending transactions header is easier to understand than the prior system. I love the two different themes options because I myself prefer a more traditional layout and have chosen Majestic for both my desktop & mobile viewing. The new app and website are great! Those who are having negative experiences so far probably did not follow instructions or read any of the numerous emails and messages sent out over the course of the last 2-3 months. I can’t wait to start using the new money manager and other features LibertyTreasuryManagement has! Great job Liberty Bank! Always have & always will love this financial institution!!!
