For Grand Central Atorage in Conroe Texas, it does NOT work!!!

App recognizes the gate keypad but when I try to open the gate StorageGenie says access denied. Spoke to the facility manager and he said he did not know what to do. Can’t find a help button on StorageGenie .

The manager of my facility had no idea how it works or why it isn’t working for me. All it said was access denied.

I downloaded StorageGenie then couldn't find it. Don’t hide your app. Add it to the end of the screen like every other app.

StorageGenie was working great until 11/29 and now I can’t find the public storage and all of my gate codes are gone

StorageGenie is completely useless, it never works due to not recognizing the leading zero in the phone number which is required to sign in.

StorageGenie worked like two times and after that never ever found another connection StorageGenie needs serious updates ASAP !

It was working fine for the longest time and just recently it stopped accessing the gates and is now saying there are no accessible keypads nearby. I’ve tried deleting StorageGenie , refreshing my phone, refreshing the gate software , but nothing is working.

Was working fine until I went to add another public storage property. Then it deleted my other public storage unit. None of the public storage locations show up anymore.

Location on always- Bluetooth on- everything is correct- I pull up to gates- if recognizes the point of entry I am at and when I hit open- it says access denied. No matter what myself or the staff so- regardless of gate/ door. Useless.

By the time StorageGenie figures it out, I could have gotten out and done it myself!😠

Barely works

It was working perfectly fine before they released the update. Now I cannot access any locations.

StorageGenie has worked great and then 50% of the time it has not worked at all. Always carry your pin code with you because you can’t rely 100% on StorageGenie to open the gate. Not working goes on for days, not minutes. It makes the noise like it has opened the gate but it doesn’t work. If you don’t have your pin code, you can’t get in to the facility but worst, you can’t get out of the facility! I’m leaving this review to help you avoid being stuck. It’s a horrible feeling.

We have been using storage genie for a year to get access to our storage unit and as long as I wait until we pull up to the keypad to activate StorageGenie it opens the gate ok. But I did the latest update on e app two days ago and now StorageGenie is having problems finding the keypad, sometimes it doesn’t find it at all, sometimes it says it has found it and says the gate is open and the gate is in fact firmly closed. Shock, horror, we had to manually use the keypad to get in, but StorageGenie worked first time coming out, go figure!

I have a storage unit at a facility in Medina, OH. The managers told me about StorageGenie and I have been using it with no problems since day one. As I pull into the facility driveway I open StorageGenie and as soon as I get near the keypad, the gate automatically opens. The main thing you have to ensure is Bluetooth is enabled other wise StorageGenie won’t connect to the keypad.

So just installed 8 keypads at my facility and have the entry and exit keypads turned on to work with StorageGenie . After some configuration it works great. Now when you pull up it does take a bout 3 seconds to register but it does and gate opens. If for some reason it doesn’t then you can open StorageGenie and hit the open button. Now you have to have your blue tooth on and you have to have your location shared done or it doesn’t work. But all in all it seems to a great feature to offer to customers!!!

Amazing app

After I figured out that I need to have location services on my phone. The manager was also able to have some turn up the strength. Drive up to the gate wait a few seconds and the gate opens. Much better than getting out of the truck.

I’m not sure why there are so many negative reviews on StorageGenie. I installed it very easily, and it opened the gate on the first attempt. You do have to be a bit close to the gate pad for it to open, but that has nothing to do with the quality of StorageGenie .
