No way to volunteer without an invitation.
There is no way to enter VOMO as a new user. When you first open VOMO , all that you see is VOMO ’s logo and a button to “log in.” There is no sign up button. You must have already created an account to use VOMO .
I can log in fine via web, but VOMO just endlessly loops me to the login screen.
VOMO needs to be updated. I will get notifications and then open VOMO and the notifications don’t load.
Cannot create an account. The next button disappears after entering my info but nothing changes. There are no error messages indicating something is wrong. It’s a broken app with no purpose.
I am a this app user. I’ve downloaded VOMO , but see a blank screen when I tap to open. I deleted VOMO and downloaded it again. Same thing. Kinda useless.
Once the update on October 10th happened, when I click on the this app app all I see is a grey screen with the this app logo on it. Great timing. Also instructions aren’t clear on how to submit service hours into VOMO for my school to verify it.
Can not log in thru VOMO . Lots of features can’t get accessed because VOMO is less than usable. Tried to link my LinkedIn account and VOMO just keeps me stuck on the web portal login and won’t let me use the actual app
VOMO is much MUCH better in a web browser. On a mobile device it’s near impossible to do much more than indicate you are going to an event. So it may be fine for getting ten folks signed up for a yard clean up event, but if you want 3 to bring rakes, two to bring trimmers (and heaven forbid you need multiple kinds of trimmers), etc., it doesn’t work. VOMO can take input but it doesn’t give a person much information.
VOMO has been great to create and track activities but it has one big flaw that is very aggravating. There must be some timer on the login because just about every time I go to VOMO I have to login all over again. VOMO exists on my phone which has facial recognition so it’s already fairly secure. My banking app has facial recognition. My Apple wallet has sensitive information and it just makes use of the phone security. Various other apps have figured out how to be secure. But VOMO when I need to see some details requires me to type username and password over and over. It always seems to be at an inconvenient time when it’s difficult to do one handed or not timely like at a stop light when I’m looking for information quickly.
VOMO would be darn good if this could be fixed. Heck let me decide and I’ll keep that thing persistently logged in. Or if someone else doesn’t want that then disable the persistent logged in state... but that would raise VOMO 2 more stars! Facial recognition is already there on iPhone. This having to login each time is not fun. Heck I’d pay for an upgrade version if that were added.
Ok I’ve said my peace. Really it’s a great app but to the owner, please fix this login issue.
I forgot my password and I need to reset it. What’s the point in sending my a link to reset it if the link doesn’t actually got to a reset page? Also, you can’t reset it if you don’t know your current password which is frustrating. If I can verify that it’s my account then I should be allowed to change my password.
App is working now. I had trouble at first.
Totally forgot I signed up for a project but a notification popped up in plenty of time to remind me the event was coming up.
VOMO is bringing the volunteer movement up to speed with modern technology. For too long I’ve had to use antiquated methods to find and sign up to serve in my community. If we want more people to give their free time to volunteer it should be EASY and this app has done just that. All I had to do was download VOMO , create my volunteer profile, and (using geolocation) search for volunteer opportunities nearby. I love it!
This is a great app for volunteers to use. Great design. Simple to understand and use. Great tool for teams.
I love volunteering in my community. When I find out that I could volunteer with an app I was curious. this app makes it easy to find and sign up for volunteer projects in just three clicks. There are a bunch of projects nearby from nonprofits and churches and businesses. Looking forward to volunteering even more!
Super user friendly app for volunteering locally
How I came across VOMO: I just listened to a Q talk where the founder shared the benefits of communities using VOMO to collectively help them flourish.
I work in State College, PA. After downloading and setting my location, I was sad to see that the nearest this app volunteer opportunity is 2 hours away.
What would be some next steps to help connect volunteer opportunities in State College to VOMO? I’d love to be a resource for this area.
