Terrible. Do not update to the new version

I have been a long customer of this app. Though it presents the functionality you would expect, it also comes with a significant reduction in your site’s performance. This hurts your page speed, and other core vitals that are crucial for your visitors’ experience.
When I asked for support in this issue, they told me that it would take time. I followed up half-year later and they copy-pasted the same template responses without any indication that they actually intend to solve the issue.

It is important to note that in the meantime they INCREASED their pricing to allow the continued quality service that they offer their users. When I voiced my disappointment they offered me a small discount towards my NEXT annual billing cycle - which effectively locks me in for another two years without having to solve anything.

If you care about your site’s performance, please avoid the mistake I made by using this service. While it functions as you would expect, their support is horrible, and the overall decrease in site performance is something one should consider.

The mobile app itself is also very slow and buggy, it always has been as well. It is not a smooth experience you would expect from a basic messaging application.

Smartsupp is crab.
No free access to ban unnecessary visitors.
Charging high subscription fees.

I hate your work tbh. Zero rating

after installing to try this on our site we decided it was not what we are looking for, just like any other app on shopify we installed it. Than we noticed it would not come off our site. We looked for any code and NON what so ever. We contacted the developer and it has been over 2 weeks now stuck with an app that doesn’t work and they refused to help no matter how many times we asked. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE

Smartsupp notification system is inconsistent as notifications sometimes don’t go through. On the other hand all features of Smartsupp is restricted to paid version only which makes the non paid version useless and the cost of service (premium) is on the high side. Please fix Smartsupp or restore back to previous versions as the new versions are disheartening.

I’ve been subscribed for some time but after canceling my last subscription I couldn’t text anyone anymore because this app wouldn’t let me view that section anymore if I don’t pay for Smartsupp …,, it’s weird

Why are you people like this?
You can offer free subscriptions so we can block bot user from the website without paying? Tawk.to offer free service.
Work on that dude.

Thank you for fixing the glitches! Smartsupp works great now. I can easily see on which page the visitor is looking at so I can engage with them.

Updated review:
I just downloaded the new update, and the issue remain on both devices. Uninstalled, restarted and reinstalled, when Smartsupp is open it won’t tell you now when a visitor is on the website. When Smartsupp is in the background it will alert me, and then when opening it, it does not show on which page the visitor is on. Can you please revert to the last prior 2 updates so a version is working like it is supposed to?

Thank for the last update which fixed few glitches. However the main one is still not fixed. If I leave the screen of Smartsupp open, and a visitor gets on my website, it still does not show. I either have to close Smartsupp or refresh manually. When the visitor leaves the website it still show has an active visitor until I manually refresh or close/reopen Smartsupp . I uninstalled, restarted phone and tablet, reinstalled and issue is still happening on both devices.

Original review:
Smartsupp was great prior the last update. Now, when a visitor is on the site and browse to different pages, it get stuck on whichever page the visitor landed. You have to manually refresh. Also, when the visitor leaves, it still show the visitor on the site, until once again you manually refresh. If on my tablet I put myself as not available, I now remain available on my phone, go figure, I have to remember to switch on both devices. I removed Smartsupp on phone and tablet, restarted both, and only install it on the tablet, same issue with the visitors. Put it back on my phone and still not working. Can this be fix so Smartsupp can be useful once again? Aside from those issues, the service is good and like the sound notifications on Smartsupp .

Smartsupp is awesome, easy to use. I’m starting with a free version and after I get some business I’m going to get the rest of the features. Really good, more then I expected.
