Not impressed at all

So far, it’s a no star app. I can’t even download it. Been trying all day and nothing happens. I can download other apps but something is wrong here. Very disappointed!!

Can’t Register

I tried to set up myAllergyPal for my daughter but I can’t even register any information to be able to log in & use it.

When it works....

So myAllergyPal worked great a few months back, then for the last 2 months, nothing. I have logged out, logged back in, deleted myAllergyPal and then downloaded it again (which usually works to fix any bugs), nothing. It hasn’t recorded a single dose since my first dose two months ago. The tech people uploaded my a little after half way through my vial, so it showed I had done 8 doses of my 14 (not on the calendar, just the data log). Since the techs loaded those and “reset my profile”, nada. Then today it won’t even log the dose, just flashes back to the screen asking if I want to log a dose. Oh and because it isn’t logging the dose on the calendar, I am getting DAILY reminders to do my allergy shot instead of every other day. The girl at the clinic is baffled and is trying to get the techs to fix it, but nothing is working. What did they do two months ago to screw this up so badly and can they please fix it?

Quit working, no support

Worthless

Can’t even get past the sign in page

Useless

myAllergyPal stopped working over 6 months ago, my doctor filled a support ticket and they have yet to correct the issue.

App isn’t working

I started my second year and myAllergyPal won’t load at all. I have uninstalled and reinstalled. It will not load at all. I can’t log my doses or see my appointments.

No notifications

Hello.

I just downloaded this app app with my allergy technician a couple of days ago. I was supposed to receive my first notification for my fourth dose today but no notification came on my phone. I have all notifications settings turned on and set properly both in myAllergyPal and on my phone’s settings. However, I still have not received any notification for a reminder to take my dose.

Meh App

When it works, it's great to track the details and dates. But three issues make it hard to work with:
- Even with all the notification options set in place, when a dose is due, I only get a single banner reminder, not a badge notification as promised.
- the superfluous extras, like making me a "needle ninja," simply add more opportunity for bugs to mess up the programming. It's a medical tracking app; the extras are useless, silly padding.
- it is designed for iPhone, but worked with my iPad for about 9 months, until it didn't: keeps crashing the moment it's opened now; probably related to the superfluous features. It does ask to send crash data to developers, but as someone else pointed out, with no website support, there is no real feedback, so who knows if anyone is listening. Plus it crashes so fast, who knows if it got sent? I told my clinic about myAllergyPal 's flaws, they are not technical and just said, "gosh I'm sorry, here's a paper log."

My app

My app is no longer working, I used it every single day. Please help!

Can be Dangerous!!

As others have said, when it works, it is great. I also agree that the notifications are not persistent enough.

My primary issue is that myAllergyPal has started sending notifications to take my injections on days they are not due. This has happened several times and I’ve almost taken my injections when they were not due. This could be extremely dangerous if someone does not catch the error before sticking a needle in their body. IMO this is a bug that needs to be fixed inmediatas it is very dangerous.

Meh

It's alright, I guess. There's a lot of useless features that I feel only open myAllergyPal to more errors. I don't need silly badges for this. It's not a game. It's a medical treatment. I don't really fancy the idea of being a "Needle Ninja."

Other than that, app works alright, but it's notification system is less than average. I get the banner display, but even with icon badges activated in my settings, they do not show up on myAllergyPal icon. Would prefer those to be added whenever I need to inject.

Pretty good app

The concept of myAllergyPal is great and has really had a lot of bugs worked out in the last couple of years!! Works pretty consistently overall and I like being able to access it on my phone without having to keep up with a sheet of paper. Great way to stay in top of my son’s allergy care. Biggest complaint would be even if a vial expires myAllergyPal still tells you to take a dose.. I think that adding vial expiration notifications should be a priority. It would be neat to be able to contact my allergy clinic through myAllergyPal too. Overall I like it pretty well and user friendly!

Good app but needs a FAQ section

I like myAllergyPal because it keeps track of my doses and logs my Injections. The calendar feature is also very nice and so is having all the test results. The only downside is that the reminders do not show or push to any of my notification areas. Even though I have them selected in my notification choices on my phone. Also there is no place to contact developer about myAllergyPal. I’m hoping someone will look at this review and give me some feedback.

Ehhh

Great app to keep me on track with shot. The only downside, it prompts me to continue the shot even after the expiration date.

Great for allergy shots

I’ve been using myAllergyPal now for 2 weeks and I definitely think it’s more deserving than the 3.4 stars (at the time of this review) it has on myAllergyPal Store. First, I love that the nurse was able to input the schedule I chose (every other day) for shots right into the calendar. My next appointment with her is also there, in case I forgot to write it down somewhere. Because my shot schedule is already setup, it eliminates any possibility of a mistake by accidentally doing my shots on a day I’m not supposed to. Logging the shots is easy and I love the added bonus of the countdown clock at the top that tells me for the next 3 hours carry the epi-pen with me, don’t do strenuous exercise for 2 hours, and don’t fall asleep for 3 hours. That’s a good reminder for someone who doesn’t want to do the time math in their head. Lastly, I get the alert at 8:30am (which also transfers to my Apple Watch) to let me know today is the day I need shots. True, the alerts are not persistent and a banner doesn’t pop-up. I’d recommend installing another app to do persistent reminders if that’s something you need. I also like seeing a list of all the allergens I’m allergic to. Also, based on my location, it lets me know what allergens are an issue in my area today. Lastly, my nurse can see when I’ve logged my shots, so that she knows if I’m on top of it or need a reminder. She said sometimes people forget and if they start missing too many, she can email or call them to let them know. Overall, I’m very pleased.

Great app!

So easy to use and is a great way to stay on track with injections

Love this ap

I have been using myAllergyPal for about two years and love it

My allergy pal

I use this with my allergy doctor and it has been great at reminding me when to take my shots when I forget.

Much better than before

myAllergyPal has had its ups and downs, but is definitely on the rise now. It helps with compliance during at home allergy immunotherapy. Never forget to do shots because of the consistent reminders! Seems that all bugs and kinks have been adjusted with the newer, updated version!
