What an awful purchasing process!!!

Clunky, broken, not made for mobile. Renewing is a complete repeat of the initial process every single year. The list goes on don’t believe me, try it at your own risk.

What’s going on? Bought a card but can’t display it! Makes it USELESS, both the card and Railcard !

New Card shows only one photo not both that were uploaded.

Firstly why should I have to buy this? It should be automatic and free for veterans. But having spent a chunk of money on it, it is useless. I can’t use it to get discounts.

Hard to know what is needed to board a train. Had to reload this app on device; dont see purchased tickets. No help button. No use instructions, no email options.

I’m pretty internet savvy but Railcard has failed me 3 times at the station. Without perfect internet (which many stations don’t have) it’s impossible to fix. If you’re lucky staff can sometimes help but normally know less than I do.

Tried to use online senior this app but was refused at Torquay ticket office as my iphone had no internet in the station. Showed clerk a screenshot of online this app with my photo but he made me pay full price as it wasn’t ‘live’

This is worse than regular this app. What is the point of the photo if the ticket office won’t accept?

Changed phone and have had a nightmare trying to get my this app back

When switching to another app, Railcard turns the brightness of your phone to 0. There doesn’t seem to be a way to turn this off. At the very least, Railcard should remember the old brightness level and restore it.

It would be better if the this app could be stored in the wallet app on the iPhone

We have, after workarounds, successfully purchased a Two Together this app, but it should not have been so hard. Railcard is a front end to a web site, and one of the first things one must enter is a UK address and phone number. It will not accept my US data.
So the workaround: provide a valid UK address and phone (we used our first hotel destination). The billing page allows for a different address and if you scroll down far enough, you see “country.” Hope dawns! Here I was able to provide my US address and the rest went okay. As part of confirmation, they do repeat validation instructions. It’s a neat result (we find out for sure in a few weeks), but a confusing script.

For the purpose of showing the this app, there isn’t much for Railcard to actually do, and it serves the function of being a digital card. The renewal process however, was cumbersome. When your card is about to expire, it shows a notification of “expiring soon - renew now” which redirects you to the website via browser. But the browser doesn’t prompt you to login from that redirect until you finished all the steps before payment - then it asks you to log-in and then you repeat all of the previous steps.

It’s great having it in your phone but as an international traveler I’d appreciate being able uk have a physical card or printout too

this app makes travel by train much easier!

I don’t understand why we need a whole app just to display a rail card, but Railcard is nice.

This was difficult for an old guy.
