Fair number of bugs and missing features

I’ve just this week begun exploring this app and have been relying mostly on the mobile app to play around with it and learn how it works. So far, my experience with the mobile app leaves something to be desired.

Firstly, my very basic usage of some of the core features of ClickUp have already revealed defects that make learning the new tool very frustrating. For example, there are UI defects when setting or removing a due date from a task which can make that simple action difficult. At one point I also managed to crash ClickUp when dragging a task from Open to In Progress. The task did move to In Progress, but the crash ended up creating a phantom duplicate task on my board that remained in the Open state and would continue to crash ClickUp anytime I moved it.

Lastly, there are a number of features that exist on the web version of this app that do not exist (yet, at least) on iOS. Two examples come to mind: 1) archiving of projects. Oddly enough, lists can be archived from the mobile app, but getting to the menu to do so is not intuitive. 2) Creating recurring tasks. I bring this up because it’s been tough at time to determine what features are missing from this app versus just being missing from the iOS version.

Uhoh. The opening band just outplayed the headliner.

I’ve tried them all. Literally - all the big project management apps- to run a production company, agencies and now a tech company. ClickUp is great. The desktop version is ridiculously awesome. And the team behind it? Even better.

I have a social messaging app that’s been featured by Apple so we know how hard something like this is to pull off. This team is running circles around “the big guys” and if you look closely - you can see some of them even trying to copy what this app is doing recently. But have you ever heard a band try to cover a song from someone like the Stones? It just ain’t the same.

This software is a joy to use (especially the desktop version). I even have grumpy developers on my team super excited to use this for tickets. I’ve used it on a team with 2 people. And a team with way more. It can handle whatever you throw at it and more. It’s limited only by how you structure your lists - so a little creativity makes it even better (which is exactly how they envisioned you using this, those sneaky devils). this app evolves with you.

I’m hopeful Apple takes notice and starts featuring this amazing team above apps like Asana, Trello etc (all great, but nothing compared to THIS). They truly deserve it. Much love team this app. You have a big fan in us (Holds up lighter). Rock. On.

Great app, BUT no Apple Watch app yet. :(

this app is awesome! I had considered Monday before this, but realized it was prohibitively expensive. this app has been a great alternative.

I find that ClickUp itself is a bit slow to respond (though that could be my phone’s fault? It’s rather old...).

I would LOVE it if developers could make an Apple Watch “complication”/app for this app. It seems like a logical next step that people needing to juggle a lot of tasks and keep that list of tasks with them at all times (making the watch app an ideal option).

Amazing...and getting better

Our family has been using this app for our personal life management for about a year. We switched over from a company that was no longer supporting their software. I stumbled across this app in a desperate search for a tool that offered the flexibility we wanted. So thankful to have found this app!!
I’m sure we only skim the surface when it comes to using the software’s functionality. But this has been the best software app to consolidate our tasks and any info related to them! The part I probably love the absolute best though is the customer support. They are incredibly responsive to questions and issues that might not be functioning. And they’re super receptive to suggestions and feedback.

Could be so much more usable

I have recently found this app and fallen in LOVE with it!! I need good organization my life with ADHD and soon starting grad school. I use it mostly on my laptop, for which it is such a POWER TOOL! I just wish on the iPhone app that it had more tools and felt more usable - I would love if it... here is my Christmas list :)

1) were easier to move cards around in board view (maybe add an edit button with check boxes or hold to rearrange function).

2) had the actual calendar view in the calendar view like on Mac/PC.

3) different interface - this interface doesn’t feel quite right.

4) MOST IMPORTANTLY: Access to your favorites/saved views!!!! Honestly if I could just access and maybe design these saved views on mobile, I wouldn’t need any of the calendar/list/board view toggles!! That would make ClickUp feel so usable

5) also, my app randomly has a hard time with keeping card updates synced and up-to-date, as well as having trouble loading the sort view.

LOVE this app though currently! I just use it almost exclusively on the Mac.

Difficult UX, Too Complex

Too many levels required to create a simple list and navigating to them/seeing at a glance is not user friendly.

When creating an initial team and lists I was also taken in a circle. Couldn’t get out of the screen to create another team after creating my first one. Once I finally got it to go away (which I managed to do by swiping it away) and saw the team I wanted, the screens were way too busy.

Recommend simplifying the layouts and adding a quick tutorial for new users. Graphics are nice but I got too frustrated with all the prompts just to set up a few lists for one simple project. Our team would likely find it more confusing so going to look for a more intuitive app.

Hard to use, over complicated

this app rivals Asana and similar systems we’ve tried for project management, but for some reason both ClickUp and website feel kind of hard to use. There are too many features and some you can’t disable (e.g who needs both sub tasks and multiple checklists for a single task? Talk about taskception...). The mobile app is worse than the web version since it’s everything condensed onto a smaller screen. This company should really consider a ux overhaul or maybe a new designer. It’s a shame because the features we need are there just feels clunky.

ClickUp - Excellent for Projects!!

I use this app to manage 20 Projects (that’s a lot). I’ve probably tried every project tracker/To Do app out there. This one blows the rest away. I think because I’m able to do everything I need, it’s flexible.

UI is actually fun to work with and easy on the eyes. Color tags, easy to add tasks, set task timers, due dates, date/time based comments. Issue Tracking. There’s much more, just can’t think right now.

Before writing this review, I was up in the air about purchasing the extras pack for $3 per mo, but I like it so much I just sold myself.

You don’t need extras though. App is full featured enough with the Free version. Have fun w it!

How is this free?!

I’ve been using ClickUp for about a year now and I love it. I haven’t used it with a team yet, just myself for keeping track of tasks and deadlines for my freelance graphic design business. I can’t believe it’s free! They keep adding more and more improvements and features. It’s robust yet very easy to use. I love that it’s available on all my devices AND a great browser interface.

Perfect for all team types

I’m so glad I found ClickUp/software. It has enabled our team of 40 people , some technical and some not, to all get on the same page and manage projects effectively across dozens of projects. We utterly failed to do this in Jira which is far too complicated to use.

this app manages to walk the line between being flexible enough to use across all kinds of projects (from software projects to on-boarding new employees) while still being simple enough for everyone to use.

They are also incredibly responsive as a company and I love the transparency of their user-generated roadmaps.

All companies could take a lesson from this app in this regard.

Well done!

Superb planning/to do tool

I’ve used Trello, Asana, Wunderlist, and Agenda. All are wonderful tools, but I struggled to make them fit my needs and the way I plan. I want a single tool that can handle my work and personal lives, including projects and events that are longer term. this app is the first tool that makes it easy to organize my goals, projects, plans, and tasks.

They had me at hello

Super app. It still is in diapers, though.

But they are fixing them almost daily... so I already signed up for the paying plan. I haven't regretted, I just love this functionality.

SUPER URGENT:

1- It needs to be a real "off line" app
2- it needs a new design because the fonts are very small, it is not easy to read it (unless you are a 20 year old with 20-20 sight)
3- DARK MODE, please.

I'am starting to use the paid version. I am loving it!!!

(Although, it needs urgently the above mentioned as "Super Urgent")

This will be a 6 stars app.

Great for what I need

I’m using it for just basic task management and it’s great for what I need it for. Better than most apps out there I have tried dozens. If ClickUp somehow crashed and deleted my account it would absolutely ruin so much for me so it would be great if I could make a backup of some sort.

Best web/ desktop productivity tool out there....WORST mobile app!

1) the screen shots shown in App Store are NOT what ClickUp looks like. These are views from the web platform. Pls fix this...not cool.

2) the mobile app is almost unusable, which is a shame b/c I use the web/ desktop version religiously and am super frustrated with the lack of ability to use on the go.

Happy to upgrade this rating to 5 stars if you guys can put out a product even remotely near what you guys have built for web/ desktop!

5 star personal and team productivity app

This is a very well designed app. I like the desktop app even better (with the added benefit of the note taking and time tracking plugins for Chrome). Their pricing model is very reasonable and support a pleasure to deal with.
