An Organizer’s Dream

I have tried hundreds of apps, programs, planners, etc to find something that worked for me on my day to day tasks. THIS IS MY DREAM PROGRAM! I now have all of my personal to dos set up for me and my husband on my workspace. He’s able to see tasks I assign to him and track his progress, and vise versa. Once I got my personal life organized, I decided to give it a try for work as well. It was perfect. I have all of my projects in their own space, with lists of things to do for each. Then I created a new list to just show my tasks for today. I created repetitive tasks like “send is usage report” to open a task every week. I log in first thing in the morning and my entire day is perfectly written out for me. I check them off as I go and I’m able to report to my team what got done and what’s in progress. Seriously could not feel more organized than I do right now.

I do want the team to improve the mobile app still. It’s not as seamless as the desktop version. It’s difficult to scroll and read the lists, as well as creating lists and new tasks. I find myself writing things down on paper or my phones notepad when I’m not at my desktop, then adding that in once I can get to the computer.

Dying to love it but HATE it and here’s why...

Ah clickup. You have every feature under the sun including every one I need. But alas, clickup is enough of a pain to use that you’d think it was made by SAP or Oracle. You’ve tried to throw your UX out the window and replace it with clickup v2 but still it’s clunky, unpolished, and overwhelming with too many features especially on mobile. This is what happens when an engineering led company makes design an afterthought instead of leading with it and having design leadership at the top. As a Silicon Valley insider myself, I have seen this play out time and time again. For now it’s back to Asana for me. Hire some good designers and give them a voice then raise your prices! Would pay double your current price if you had all these features for my team AND they didn’t complain about bugs in ClickUpoldapp all the time.

Love the desktop, web but app is not user friendly.

I just approved our company to use click up as our main project manager platform. I love the interface of the desktop and web pages. The UX is easy and makes sense.

ClickUpoldapp is a little more frustrating. The biggest issue is how small the font is. It should be the other way around. It should be clearer and more concise to move around and handle various functions. Though there is symmetry in design, ClickUpoldapp font is too small. At least give the option to change the size.

Make that change and you will get better scores.

The new King after the demise of Producteev

Clickup is the ONLY interface that is ridiculously featured, robust, malleable and customizable to such an extent that one’s clickup can be completely different than someone else’s

I’ve been using it since v1, and after the 2.0 release, the leaps of improvement are worth every penny spent on the application. After Producteev was shut down, it took me a year to find the right one, but there were always many, MANY missing features and some weird decisions that made zero sense. Trello, RememberTheMilk, Nozbe, AirTable, Marvin, Todoist, AnyDo, .... you name it. I’ve tried them ALL. Nothing at this point matches Clickup. I was the biggest user of Producteev, but Clickup surpassed it by a long stretch.

The iOS version is indeed not as good as the desktop version, but if you are one of the early adopters, i’m certain you remember how it improved from the onset. In my opinion, it’s solid. I’ve geard about the implementation of a native app, and definitely looking forward to it

Click up Team, you guys are cool peeps

Unreliable. Not for professional use.

I thought it’d be great to have the features of Asana, Trello and Quip in a single app. Unfortunately the very first doc I created won’t fully sync from desktop to iPad to phone. The only section available is the table of contents. That means I can’t edit or even read it on mobile, rendering it totally useless. If I can’t be sure all my docs and tasks are available and in sync then ClickUp is more of a liability than a productivity tool. I was happy with the desktop app after a couple days of use and liked the Gantt and calendar views a lot. I thought I was going to make the switch so I started testing it on mobile. Such a shame. I added a second star because I think there’s potential here but an unreliable app simply cannot function as the core source of truth in my business.

Love desktop but it is IMPOSSIBLE to use mobile or iPad versions!

Clickup is awesome to use on my desktop using the browser. And the people are wonderful. So I hate to give them a poor rating, but if I don’t have my computer nearby, my workday is absolutely paralyzed. It’s so buggy and hard to use, I don’t even know where to begin. It’s dreadful. Unresponsive. It can’t scroll, I can’t find things, it crashes, etc. So much simply doesn’t work. And the interface is different enough that I’m super confused by the UX. Thankfully, ClickUp just raised $32 million, so I hope they will at long last, pay (overdue) attention to their mobile app.

I love clickup, but I lose hours when I have to use mobile...

Severely Lacking Compared to Desktop

I have tried many different team/task management applications and Click-Up on Desktop has been my favorite thus far. While there are some minor improvements that can be made there in terms of UX, the features far surpass most other applications I’ve tried and it’s quickly becoming my go-to.

Now...the mobile app...it’s the one reason why I haven’t completely transitioned over to Click-Up and may have to look elsewhere if it doesn’t improve. It’s buggy, constantly gives error messages, and is a nightmare to use.

If I’m not at my computer and need to create a reminder or jot some tasks down, I now find myself doing do elsewhere before sitting down and copying them to Click Up. With task/team management applications, I’ve come to expect a reliable and streamlined mobile app which is currently lacking.

Fingers crossed there’s some improvement soon!

Frustrating mobile app

Like everyone else, the desktop app is amazing, but the mobile app seems like the negected child.

I definitely understand designing all of the features into one mobile app may seem rather impossible, but this leads to MANY bugs, that seem to still exist after reading reviews from 1 year ago.

Luckily for me, I will be heavily using this on the desktop. Maybe the team should consider making a “Lite”, or “on-the-go” app version of ClickUp, to minimize/reduce bugs, while allowing for a more seamless and intuitive design.

We have enough new features

I constantly get new emails about new features being added to ClickUp. It’s great that they’re delivering so much in one package but I really wish they would polish what they already have instead of adding more things that very few people will use. I can’t stand this mobile app. I need to be able to manage my work and tasks on the go and ClickUpoldapp is far from delivering a good experience for that. Tiny buttons and links. Messy layouts. No visual hierarchy in any way. Feels clunky and incomplete.
I haven’t seen a single new feature announcement that would be useful for me. Stop adding more and deliver a great experience with what you already have.

Great App and Software BUT V. 2.12 has bugs...

A previous iteration of ClickUpoldapp (2.10) works flawlessly. It was very fast an had no bugs from the time that I was using it. Unfortunately the current version 2.12 does not allow you to open task in the List view. I have to switch to Board view to get taps on the screen to register and open the window to edit a task. There are also times when editing the task details when I tap and hold to move the cursor that the cursor ends up in the wrong spot. Selecting and highlighting text also does not behave as expected.

Mobile version is a bit buggy

The desktop version of ClickUpoldapp is wonderful, 10/10 hands down, but the mobile version is a big tricky to manage. Such as when scheduling a new task in a new list, the save button is out of reach and it’s quite confusing to save a date. I keep ClickUpoldapp on my phone as a convenient way to look at things when I’m not at my computer.

I hope this gets fixed soon!

Much better than the new app!

Hi ClickUp Team,

I just posted on the new app version as well, explaining why I enjoy the old app version more, as I can access all my tasks and details in my lists. I prefer the view to be similar to the desktop version and unfortunately that is not an option in the new app. So I will continue to use the old version!

Thanks!!

Was a good app until

I really liked ClickUpoldapp until they did an update a while back and now it just frustrates me. Every time I check off reoccurring tasks they go to the bottom of my list instead of staying where I want it to stay in the list. I use to be able to add a number to a task so it shows up where I want it to stay in my list but instead it goes to the bottom of my list. So then I have to switch to board view then drag it to the top of my list. I just want to be able to assign it a number like you can on the desktop app. I liked it when it was more like the desktop version.
Anyway! It’s not!

Awesome Desktop version, but iOS needs work

ClickUp is solving so many of my task management needs, and I can't thank the developers enough for their genius work. Though packed with hundreds of features, the desktop version of ClickUp is easy to manage, especially using the tabs, quick find, and tray features.

However, the iOS version needs an overhaul. The font size is too small, there doesn't appear to be a month calendar view, and you can share urls from browser apps only into the Inbox, not other spaces or lists.

If you're mainly an iOS user, ClickUp is going to be harder to use. I'm willing to pay a little extra for an improved iOS UI.

Again though, thank you for the desktop and web version of ClickUp.

Prefer over asana app

I switched from Asana to click up fairly recently and am happy to say I also prefer click ups app more than Asana’s. I will say I am a freelance who works on their own and so I don’t have a team but ClickUpoldapp has what I personally need on a phone. The ability to see my tasks for today/tomorrow/etc. and the ability to quick add tasks.

Very good! But..

Just gonna start by saying I Love it. Cuz the functionality is awesome and probably best you can find. That said, I wish things were more mobile-oriented, it’s kinda like they shrunk down the desktop version and that’s about it. Things aren’t super slick or even all that smooth (I’d settle for smooth animation and not having to wait for things to load in-between certain screen taps)

Great free edition!

ClickUpoldapp is great. Has all the functionality you could ever DREAM of packed into it. And for $0!! Unheard of. Very happy with the functionality and project management ability. The only thing I could want is a bit of a smoother and more responsive interface(that goes for mobile and desktop experience). Over all very happy

Avid ClickUp user, but.....

I use ClickUp all the time on my desktop and it is a wonderful and full featured program. It takes some getting used to, but once you do it really is unmatched. However, the iOS app is nearly unusable. It is not optimized for mobile at all. It is terribly slow and sometimes things work and sometimes they don’t. It’s actually a bit of a stressful experience to use it. I am hoping that the CU team will put some resources into the mobile experience and get it to a much higher level of usability. When they do I will come back and update my review accordingly

Snappy and Intuitive

I can gladly say I will now be using the mobile app heavily! I absolutely love the desktop app but now that there’s been so many major improvements to the mobile app since I last used it, I feel like I’m in love all over again. ClickUpoldapp is sharp, snappy and intuitive. Thank you ClickUp!

ok, not as bad as I thought

Honestly like a few other reviews I wasn’t supper excited about the design, I love the desktop app! but though the mobile had too many options. That was until I went on a trip for a weekend and forgot my laptop charger. I was using ClickUpoldapp a lot and was so grateful they packed all the options in!

Old app is better

I like 2.0 design on web version, but the 1.0 ios app still better. Quicker to type in task, the down side is requires additional click to type note quickly.

Hopfully ios app is not a clone of web site. It should help inputting faster and allow us to sort info on computer, allows us new ways of viewing information that computer cant. (Fyi i wouldnt uses board view on phone)
