1. New app doesn't scroll properly and sometimes freezes. 2. Unlike with legacy app, when returning to app I am taken to the contents page, not where I left off. 3. Unlike with legacy app, articles don't fully download on opening so that right-hand cursor has to readjust during read.

Close and restart the The Economist app on iPhone
Update The Economist app to the Latest Version for iOS
Uninstall and reinstall The Economist iPhone app
Update your iPhone to the latest iOS version

Fix The Economist on iPhone unable to connect to server/internet connection issues::

To resolve The Economist network issues, Reset phone network settings:
1. On iphone, goto Settings » General » Reset » Reset Network Settings.
2. Enter device passcode » confirm [Reset Network Settings].

Turn off iphone VPN:
1. Goto Settings » General » VPN

Fix The Economist not working on Android, crashes, errors or is unresponsive:

Force Stop the The Economist App
1. On android, goto Settings » The Economist » click [Force Stop]

Update The Economist to the latest version on PlayStore

Clear The Economist App Cache and Data:
1. On android, goto Settings » Apps » The Economist » Storage » click [Clear Data] option. This clears both data and cache.
2. restart The Economist.

Fix The Economist unable to contact server/ The Economist internet connection errors on Android:

On android, goto Settings » Apps or Manage Apps tab.
Click The Economist » [Force Stop]
Next, goto Storage » click [Clear Data]
Again, goto The Economist » Mobile Data » [Allow Background Data Usage].
Go back to Settings » Connections » Mobile Network » Network Mode. Change the network to 4G e.g. LTE/3G/2G (auto connect)
Relaunch The Economist
