Mariano’s online shopping is fast and easy.
So you want me to sit down at home before I go to the store and pick out all the things I might conceivably buy and add those coupons to Marianos before I even set foot in the store? Whoever designed Marianos obviously does not have kids. I can barely find time to shop once, let alone twice. And the pictures are so small it’s impossible to tell what I might want. And there’s no way to search for specific coupons?! I have to page through every single category, browsing as if I have all the time in the world. And don’t bother trying to add coupons in the store; I can’t get a signal in my phone in that place. If you insist on making us use Marianos then every store should have free WiFi.
Easily the worst “rewards” program out there.
Terrible!

Just downloaded Marianos today and I think that it’s more trouble than it’s worth. 1. Half of the items in the store that say they have a digital coupon cannot be found in Marianos . 2. On many items in Marianos , you have to open the item completely to see what it is. 3. Why does Marianos make me go through the bother of “loading” it onto my Mariano’s card? Just make them all available without the hassle of downloading. But I know why they do not want to make it easy...because they do not want you to use the coupons! 4. In the store, I can use my phone number (easy), but on Marianos, I have to use my Mariano’s number. I did not have my card, so that meant a trip to the service desk. More time wasted!
Worst store app I’ve used

First, I don’t find the weekly ad in Marianos - it actually doesn’t provide prices/promotions for any items . This basically reduces app to an ineffective coupon center.
Mariano’s requires you to download coupons to receive many offers; however, they make this too burdensome to bother. In store, product signage directs you to digital coupons. It’s extremely time consuming to try to locate the coupon in Marianos — sometimes it does not exist. Also, icons are too small to even read what the item is without clicking on it.
If you care about savings, it’s pointless. Perhaps it works for online ordering?? I do not know because I have no interest in trying that.
The app doesn’t work at all

Marianos is essentially pointless. If it could be graded zero stars I would, you can’t sign into it. So you’ll spend 45 minutes picking all these groceries that you want, and then that’s it. No delivery. Nothing because you can’t sign in. Then you’ll call customer service and they’re totally confused, they don’t even understand that there’s an app that exists. And then every time you go to Mariano’s you’ll see if huge 40 foot sign advertising this great app. It’s interesting that any company would spend all this money to design an app it’s basically entirely pointless.
Does not display price of items, only discount. What good is that? Example could be; $2 off a box of cereal... go to store to discover regular price around $7.00 ooooo what a deal. Another idiotic problem, any list you want displayed is longer than the list of people named Smith's found in a New York City phone book. Lastly you have to navigate endless items to locate the Digital Download coupon. I don’t favor this store because since their app is this bad the shopping there can’t be far behind.
Mariano’s Has No Food

My local Mariano’s was advertising their delivery option so I was excited to try out Marianos . Unfortunately my Mariano’s apparently is empty. Using the search option, literally nothing was available. I’m talking simple stuff: orange juice, turkey, etc. The only items for purchase were the 20 things listed under “popular“. Marianos is completely useless. Mariano’s seriously needs to get its crap together or they will watch their customers move to the many stores that have a working pickup/delivery option.
Wanted this App to be great

I love Mariano’s. I love their selection and the experience you have when you go to a store. I wanted Marianos to be a reflection of the high quality, customer-centric experience I have at the store, but it’s clear they put the bare minimum into app development. After 20 min of trying to load products into my cart (and receiving about 15 random alerts to use the UPDATE BUTTON) I was unable to actually load anything into my cart. Not worth my time.
Can’t search coupons

If you are just ordering groceries then I’m sure it’s fine. I wanted to use it for the in store digital coupon savings that are advertised on the sales tags. There is no way to search the coupons. If you search for the product it doesn’t show that it has a coupon even though there is one if you go through the coupon side. Really ridiculous if you ask me. Totally useless.
Needs refining

Marianos has the potential to be really good but (1) not all groceries are available or they are not easy to find (2) digital coupons are great but they are not searchable and do not have a recently added filter - you have to go thru all of them it seems (3) it would be nice to also be a store app which helps you locate an item within your preferred store - other grocery stores do this (4) ability to scan and let you know if there is a digital coupon (5) selecting an item and letting you know there is a digital coupon. (6) add gas rewards to account info. This company is owned by KROGER. Kroger has a really good app already why not use the same platform. The Kroger app stores all past purchase via store or Clicklist and has a weekly add info.
Depending on the day of the week you order or the store, your experience could be very convenient with pleasant staff or horrible with rude incompetent staff. I’ve ordered Clicklist 4 times, and 3 times out of 4 was excellent. Unfortunately, the bad experience I had has made me never want to use it again. I went on a Sunday night between 5:30p-6p pickup time. Arrived at 5:30p and called when I got to the parking spot by 5:30p. Called and was hung up on, asked if I’d received a call saying it would be late (I didn’t), and after an hour, I went into the store and told them I had to leave. They rolled their eyes, said they “would try” to page a manager, and that the order was “still being shopped”. It was a terrible experience and made it so that we won’t use it again.
Buggy app defeats the purpose

New bug fix isn’t working. “Time slots” are still always filled regardless of day or time.
I like the delivery service. I was looking forward to using it again. Unfortunately Marianos is so buggy I can’t do so. Contacting customer service on Marianos gets you an auto reply from someone who clearly isn’t reading what you wrote at all. My email detailed briefly the steps I’d tried and the reply I received suggested I try all the steps I’d already done... so helpful!
No issues with Whole Foods delivery... they got my business this week instead. I actually came to Marianos Store to leave this review and delete Clicklist from my phone, but saw they had an update. Sadly that didn’t work either.
I’ll give it a few more days. Otherwise I’m moving on to businesses who are doing a better job listening and responding to their customers. A simple sorry or we will look into it/we are working on it would have gone a long way... the reply I got was insulting to a person who took the time to contribute to trying to help you resolve a business issue which is costing you financially.
Meh—Not sure I’d use again

My first time using Marianos and I found it was a little clunky. It requires you to enter a Mariano card number to get sale prices even though you can just use your phone number as an Alt ID on both the webpage and at the store (so I have no idea where my card is).
When I accidentally clicked on the nutritional details for one item there was no way to navigate away from the page—I had to uninstall and reinstall Marianos .
Finally, the store didn’t have at least a quarter of the things on my list (and we’re talking standard stuff like string cheese). At pickup, I found that they charged me $7 for cashews we didn’t get and which were identified on the pick list of items that were not available. And my bananas were mushy.
Overall, a C- experience. Not sure I’d use it again. I’d maybe trust them to pick out non-perishable items...but I can get that cheaper elsewhere.
Good concept—poor execution.
Up to an HOUR to get a password reset?

by BearDown2019
I needed to set this up for a quick order. Totally forgot my password. No problem, figured I would just reset it like anything else. I kept checking my inbox and nothing. When I clicked to reset again, there was a notification that it could take up to an hour to get the email to reset. That seems annoyingly long, I’ve used many other apps and websites and the bounce back email to reset is received within minutes. Just weird.

I was skeptical to download Marianos based on the reviews but so glad I took a chance. I would rate it a 4.5 since I did encounter a glitch but rounded up to a 5 stars because it delivered the end result. I created my account, was able to order my items, and my groceries were ready for pick up at the designated time. There was a glitch at one point during my ordering but once I went into the shopping cart and refreshed, it appeared to fix the problem. One item to consider is that it does take a moment for all items to load when searching (depends on internet/data speed?). Another item that is not necessarily app related is that not all cities allow for alcohol to be purchased through Marianos (it appears to be restricted by city or village).
I’ve done my groceries online in Chicago thru other stores, this one by far performed the best! They picked the best produce , substituted appropriately and packaged everything just right ! Can’t wait to use it again ! Must say I loved that I could work on my list throughout the week and items were so easy to find .
