Neptune - Mobile Security Reviews

To the developers and users of Neptune, just to raise awareness I was involved in an identity theft and Cyber Connectix crime. I did report incident with governmental authorities since we are potential or actual victims of cyber crime whether on IOS or IP, i reviewed this product to ensure the safety of my personal information and privacy from being exposed. In the attempt of sending an email unfortunately it prevented me from doing so, too also include noticing that Neptune has some discrepancies. The device name does not match up with the device itself, meaning upon utilizing Neptune I noticed in the device category device name stated iPhone8 even though I have an iPhone 6s; secondly I took a snapshot picture where the remote section part of Neptune as it was loading it showed 2 devices connected even though this is the only device I have that is only authorized to be utilized, so even though because of this intrusion it also notified me which gave me enough evidence to support my case. I also have other programs that I am using to better secure my phone but honestly anything can be bypassed. I hope this review helped anyone and including the developers to ensure their security system is updated without losing any sort of credibility on their product.

Before buying Neptune, click on the button on this app’s page here in Neptune Store to contact support/Neptune developer. You’ll see that this app doesn’t provide a legitimate app/company/developer website link, email address or even a social media account for customers to get in touch with the developer for questions or troubleshooting. I was able to track the developer down on Twitter when I had a question about this app after I purchased it. But he hadn’t tweeted in over a year so of course my question was never answered.

Apps, especially ones customers have to pay for, should offer a point of contact for customers’ support needs. Neptune not only fails to do that, but it intentionally gives fake contact info on Neptune ’s page in Neptune Store to confuse and deceive its customers.

Happy long-time user of this app Security and the developer is regularly updating for currency. In addition to a very detailed Device information tab, there’s an Orbit tab that shows all a summary of all the devices you have this app installed on. I did note a minor bug where it reports my firmware is out of date on an iPod Touch 7th Gen; I already have the latest iOS version (15.0.2) installed.

Think dollar store! I bought this yesterday. Froze up while downloading . Finally after shutting g phone off twice, finally got it. Opened it up and said my iphone 11 unsecure. But couldn’t read why half of it’s in English over half in German . I went to get app support, and it said my iPhone didn’t have the security certificates so brought me to another site called launch kit 404 with gift hub. Something like that. Looked all over for an email. Only a twitter account . But not everyone in this world has a twitter nor Facebook nor Instagram account . I need email. Then went back today now it says secure . I kind of doubt Neptune is doing anything at all but a waste of time and 99 cents!

The only reason I’m giving it a 4 star is because there are some language errors that haven’t been fixed. Also the iOS version shows the wrong version installed. Other than that, Neptune works as advertised.

Neptune is crashing on my iPhone 13 pro max all the time. I thought it might be because of the public beta OS. But it also cannot run on a normal 15.4 version.

Updates: uninstall and reinstall Neptune can fix the issue. However, there are some non-English words displayed during system check with English language mode.

Excellent app but it does not recognize the iPhone SE (2020) and keeps asking to update to the latest iOS which is already 14.4. Most iPhone specs are unavailable for the same reason.

Neptune is a great idea and promises to allow me to monitor all of my devices to ensure they are up-to-date. It works great for checking multiple iPhones and iPads to make sure they are all up to date and secure. The only issue I have with Neptune is on my 12.9 inch iPad Pro. I can view the security of the device but when I try to open the tab to add the iPad to the list of my devices, Neptune crashes.

I like the idea of Neptune and the only thing that doesn’t work for me is when I click the security link at the bottom Neptune always crashes. This worries me as maybe someone has jail broken my phone and is circumventing any program designed to check.

Without knowing exactly what it actually does internally, it appears to do very well what it’s designed to do.

The only thing I noticed is that some of the information on screen is in German even when English is selected.

The dashboard is great, it checks hardware, software, storage and apps, while securing my device. Exactly what I need! I recommend Neptune to my colleagues and friends.

Seems good so far, until I updated 12.0.1, the security is saying I have 11.2.1 Beta version installed on my phone. A bit worried, I called Apple and they said software is up to date on there end...just wondering why it says Beta Version on my security. Hope to get a response. Thank you kindly.

This was pretty good....while it was still getting updates. Now I’m currently on iOS 12.4 and it says I’m running iOS 11.2.1 and the current version is 12.3.1 which none of that is true. Second there is multiple words in a different language even when set to English. So it doesn’t really work so don’t buy it.

It’s a pretty great and easy to use app, brings you a pretty nice status of your device and is very friendly...

App is a gimmick. It tells me a new version of iOS is available not aware I’m using it. When I check security I’m Neptune , it says I’m on version 11.2.1 when actually I’m on 12.1. This is only one issue aside from the language issues and the limited reach of the apps ability to inspect. In fact, I am suspicious of Neptune and whether it’s protecting me or ...

I tried to go to your support page but I get a security warning, therefore I am reporting the problem here in the review.

Whenever I press on the “Security” icon at the bottom of the screen, Neptune displays the “Security” screen then immediately crashes.

Helps make things better.

It’s nice to have an app to ensure that my information is safe.

Gives me all of the information I care to have. When clicking on the device page it shows your current IOS version and the arrow to the right of that opens a listing of your past update history. I believe that is where some users are being confused as to what version Neptune is saying they have.
