App stopped working

I had been using Hugo since January here in Europe to buy food and groceries and pay for services back in Central America, but about two weeks ago, after recent updates, Hugo no longer loads. It doesn’t let me sign in or even type in a phone number. It will just run in an endless loop for a few minutes then load the sign in page but will not let you type anything. It’s a real shame since it had been working flawlessly and it had proven to be a great service. Has anyone had a similar problem recently? I tried reporting it to customer service but that turned out to be useless as they knew nothing about how Hugo works. Changing my rating to three stars until the bugs get fixed.

App NOT working after last update!!!

I was going to give a perfect 5 star score to Hugo since it worked just fine and had different options, however, after its last update it is simply not working at all!

You press on the icon, it starts loading (supposedly), and then it resets.

Seems that your quality control department drop the ball on this new version for iOS.

What a shame! Since now I am not able to use Hugo to get some food delivered!

Will update comments and give a better rating once this problem is solved!

Tipping/Propinas

There’s a current glitch that’s happening with tipping. Once the order is finalized a review appears and then Hugo freezes missing the part where you get to tip the messenger.

Please look into this immediately and make it a priority. Hugo is already user friendly, but it also needs to be employee friendly. Please fix this and have the option to go back to an order to tip. This is the second time this happens and not to mentioned is the holiday season.

I would really like for this app to have a feature where you have a recommended tip added to the order.

Stole my money

Gave me the wrong order and hour later. After talking to customer service they said that in 20 minutes I would get my original order. Another hour later I ask to be called again, the person never put it through and the next rep wanted to see if the restaurant was still open (it wasn’t). Now I asked for my money back to which she responded that’s fine we can give you a credit. Now, I don’t wat a credit I want my money because I don’t want to use Hugo anymore after this. The rep told me it was perfectly fine and they would reimburse me and send a confirmation email. Guess what. I’m warning you stay away.

Horrible customer service

More than once were items missing from our grocery order. Also incorrect food delivered from restaurants. Their customer service support is absolutely horrible. Typical wait time to get connected to an agent is between 20 and 30 minutes each time we needed help. Then you’re connected to an agent for at least the same amount of time. They can NOT get anything resolved or corrected. Also credits promised that will post to your account never get posted. What a joke. And nobody follows up. At least don’t call yourselves the SUPER-APP. Horrible. Horrible. Horrible.

They need to improve tracking !

Hugo is good. Works mostly fine except after you place your order .... you can’t check on your own where is the order. The map is not updating real time. Most of the times the deliver person will arrive and location is not yet updated. The last 2 times I had to write to customer service to help me track my order ... not sure what is happening as the first time I ordered is was fine.

I’m impressed by Hugo , never thought a app with such a nice interface and care for the branding and the client can be develope so good in Latin America.

(its a shame that another reviewer use the term “salvadorean scammers” that’s sounds very racist it Apple should open the option to report racist comments inside their reviews)

Credit Card

I had to delete Hugo because it was not working and it removed all my credit cards and when i tried to pay with the new credit card I put in my account, it said I had towait for three days before I could use it.

Worst app for delivery in DR

The ap always have glitches. Restaurants will show they are available but in reality they are not. Your order will get canceled and only give you app credit. The customer service for Hugo is horrible. The option to tip the driver doesn’t work. Customer Service won’t reply to requests. Overall very dissatisfied the only resin we still use it is becase some of the other apps don’t deliver from our favorite restaurants

Do not use the app!

I have only managed to order once and it has been a horrible experience. Hugo requires you to understand the fact that you have to show your credit/debit card when the order arrives to the house. However even after tapping “accept” on Hugo , they decide to cancel the order. The first time I ordered from here it cancelled my order 5 times before I had to call customer support to complain. Please do not use Hugo!!

It needs a little bit of work

I really don’t understand the logistics of Hugo; I made my order thinking it would be quick but they choose a location that was waaay too far from me; there’s one of the restaurants literally 10 minutes away from my location. Other than that, amazing app!

Payment issues

Customer support needs to improve on getting this issue fixed over the phone or online. I have had several order’s canceled and there is not they can do about it, but having to select item by item again.

The App & Service are excellent

But there needs to be an option where you can creat your profile via email and then add your phone number. Because I’m trying to log in and it’s not sending me any verification whatsoever.

Bad Customer Service

Placed an order, this app didn’t process it. Tried to get feedback several times, they didn’t call or answer.

This has happened like 5-7 times, but this time I needed to vent it and the only way I could think of was leaving this reviews.

I’m from Honduras, and if anyone else from here is reading, we should give Sompopo, OCHO, Glovo and others, a chance.

Super Easy to Use

Hugo is super easy to use and has great customer service. It’s the only delivery app I use now. Their deliveries almost always come on time or earlier than expected.

Need to Update that you can change language

It would be good if you could change the language… so you could understand what the messages that pop up say.

Utter garbagen

App doesn’t let you track orders and the support is worse than any other app always on the line waiting up to periods of 30 min also they don’t reimburse you the money os turned to credits which aren’t even able to be tracked use other apps if you can

Change your politics

Yesterday one of your employees died delivering and order on a accident in Sps Honduras, all of this would never happen if you change your drivers policy and rules! Since what we know is that you guys charges the price food to the employee if the order has not been delivered at the estimated time!! That’s wrong.

Severe Inconsistent Service

The service of Hugo does not follow it’s buisness plan when it comes to the time designated for the orders, or asigning a driver for an order. The drivers simply decide when to pick up, Hugo asigns a driver on the arrival time of your package that it gives even when there is no delay estimated.

Age rating too high

this app is great but I wish they would lower the age rating of Hugo . We don’t want access to mature rated stuff on our phones yet this app requires a 17+ rating on it. I understand they probably only want people 17+ to use it however it makes it inconvenient for someone in my situation. Please consider lowering your age rating.
