No function whatsoever couldn’t connect in both flights different planes……. Outside the plane with mobile data it just Hyperlinks you to LH-page…… nice idea but it’s like they wanted something and started it and then immediately stopped working on it and left it totally unfinished……… just simply a total embarrassment for their company I can’t believe that the reviews are over a year and still the same complaints and no one fixes it.
Just useless menu with links to pages on LH website. Lame!
It basically does nothing which cannot be easily done on the seat back screen. Disconnects frequently. Basically consistent with what all the other reviewers have said.
LHEntertainment is emblematic of Lufthansa’s greater issue. Their main app and this entertainment nonsense app lags a decade behind other airlines. It is difficult to tell why they haven’t caught up. On the plane, itself, they have a large screen that only interfaces with a mono disposable headphone like its is 1970. I hope someone Lufthansa takes this issue to heart but it’s doubtful.
I have yet to be able to use LHEntertainment to pair with the seat back monitor, which seems to be the apps main purpose. Are the developers paying attention? No one seems to be able to use LHEntertainment.
Opened when the flight was in the air. An error message advised that LHEntertainment could not be used as I was not connected to the internet... The only in-flight wifi option was on a pay to use basis.
Like many other reviewers, I expected to be able to use my own headphones through LHEntertainment. You can’t. LHEntertainment adds no functionality and is just a less convenient way of navigating the exact same menu as is on the seat back display. The only media functionality is pausing or playing the media on the seat back and adjust the volume of the wired headphones, both of which are easier and more convenient to just do on the seat back display itself.
This is idiotic. Since the screen on the back of the chair is like 8” from my face, do you really think that loading up LHEntertainment so we can watch on our personal device is better?? There is ZERO space for that. Why not just let us use Bluetooth with our personal earbuds? Between this and your haphazard gate loading policies….. well, so much for “German efficiency”. LH is clearly the opposite of that.
I was initially excited to see LHEntertainment because I wanted to connect my wireless noise canceling AirPod pro headphones to the seat back. I can’t connect my wireless headphones directly to the seat back, so what better way to accomplish this, than to have an app to pair your phone with your seat back, then send audio through this link? Voila! No more wires! And happy passengers enjoying a less noisy flight experience. But LHEntertainment is totally pointless and lacks even this most basic, MVP functionality… deleting it prior to my return flight.
After downloading and connecting my iPhone to Telekom Flynet Wifi - LHEntertainment refused to pair with the seat. Tried a number of times entering different numeric codes that get generated, without success. The flight attendant reset the system hoping that would fix the problem but it did not work after restarting the seat entertainment system.
Strangely LHEntertainment knew that I was onboard since it displayed flight time remaining in LHEntertainment .
Also the Lufthansa second screen app refused to work onboard. Something is wrong with the Lufthansa quality assurance since none of the Lufthansa apps work on the plane!

Trust the reviews, LHEntertainment doesn’t work. It doesn’t load when you’re connected to in-flight Wi-Fi. No entertainment options available.If you’re looking for a solution to connect with any of your Bluetooth devices, this ain’t it.
Doesn’t work
Was excited to download this application upon learning that you could use it to make a playlist before your flight. After downloading at home, the application does not load a single page from its table of contents.
White, white, white pages. Nothing loads, and the application is completely non-functional.
This is an incredibly cool idea in theory, and I hope that the application is fixed by Lufthansa in the near future!
Content doesn’t load
LHEntertainment does not work. The screen is blank. Either fix or remove
Connects but then no page loads. I cant believe this has even be tested once....
LHEntertainment won’t pair claiming that I’m not connected to the plane’s SSID. I was connected and able to surf through a browser but LHEntertainment couldn’t be used to pair.
So I can watch a movie of a tiny screen but only if I disable the main screen. And only if I want no sound. Good thing LHEntertainment exists.
I’m following the (very simple directions): connect to the WiFi, then press the continue button. I’m on the WiFi (while writing this review), but the button does nothing. Useless app.
Tried this on a recent A350 flight to DC. Yes, it pairs with your screen, but is then absolutely useless. Blank screens for everything.
First - who came up with the idea that your travelers should have to download an app for every aircraft individually (really!?) And then even that does not work. Just remove this crap from LHEntertainment Store.
Misleadingly, LHEntertainment does NOT do the following:
1. Connect your wireless headset/AirPods to the seat back
2. Allow you to view in-flight entertainment on your phone because your headphones won’t connect to the seat back.
Other airlines with the same hardware allow you to connect your wireless headset to the seat back. This isn’t some novel idea.
I wanted to know what movies will be available and I just saw they haven’t updated in over one year. The last time updates was in feb 2020. I am so disappointed and I hope they update the movies that will be available if I go on the airline so I know what I am gonna watch because the movies on the flight and LHEntertainment were very different.
App doesn’t work under any circumstances. Such complete trash they should delete it and start over from scratch n
It worked on the airbus A340 on the transatlantic flights as a remote to search and select a movie/tvshow and play/pause the video.
Auto disconnects in 10-15 mins, which is not user-friendly, as I’d want to control the video from time to time through the ~10hour journey , but have to connect again to do it.
