I’ve had magicJack for about 1 year and it has become very buggy.

1) continues to show notifications on icon, even after messages are read.

2) does not always ring.

3) often can not call from magicJack despite being able to place call from the regular phone.

4) app stopped delivering phone message notifications via email

5) messages do not show as contacts, just phone numbers

6) can not assign a separate phone ring tone to magicJack - so I need to check caller ID every time it rings to see if it’s a business call.

7) app is rarely updated or improved.

Just downloaded magicJack to give it a try and it has no option to make an account. How are you supposed to create an account?

This company down the drain. No more support and bad service. Stay away from this garbage. I pre paid for 5 years and after a year software keep crashing and no one to talk to. Do not believe the 5 stars it is fake and promoted.

I am at wits end with magicJack!!! Whenever Im at the office it works great!!! But when It counts, Like being mobile, it constantly freezes up! I am forced to let the customer leave a message and then call back from a number not linked to my company!! This is not cool! My carrier is ATT and I have deleted and reinstalled magicJack multiple times…. MJB… your team has to fix this issue or recommend a preferred carrier if it is a cellular issue versus a VOIP issue. Please advise…

Stay away from ANYTHING that this company offers. They’ve made a countless amount of money from their regular MJ app and it is total garbage. It doesn’t work just poorly...it doesn’t work at all. They haven’t maintained it in forever yet continue to sucker new customers. If you try to reach out to them...nada.

magicJack really needs a transfer call feature. Overall decent working app, just difficult to use on the go without having the ability to transfer calls from within magicJack .

For the most part, I am enjoying my business line. However calls occasionally get dropped on my cell phone. Its most annoying when a call comes in and when you pick it up the call gets dropped. When i am in the office however, the VOIP works great. If you are a small business looking for an office phone this works great however when using magicJack expect some call to drop.

this app has been my personal and business solution for home and business the company has fantastic phone quality and features. If your shopping around stop by this app they have the prices to fit any budget. It’s worth getting.

I want to update my review. magicJack is fixed and works great now. I am very happy. 🙂

This is a great service for an up and coming business so that I don’t have to be in one place.

Why you guys not updating regular MJ app? I have 10 accounts this is last year with MJ will switch to GoDaddy if I will not see major updates. Thanks.

magicJack is awesome, saved us a lot of money, its convenient you can have your phone ring anywhere in the office or on the go.

Best I have used, in business 27 years had magic jack for personal since day one and now that we’re a business customer I could not be happier!!!

On wi-fi the sound quality is great. Off wi-fi it’s good. The texting aspect of magicJack needs improvement.

Why is there a Delay on the talk when we get a phone call and we answer but it’s about 1-2 seconds delay for the customer to hear us or we hear them?

-NOT RECEIVING TEXT-
Not able to receive text messages as they were sent. Usually takes several attempts before magicJack acknowledge one being received!

-MISSING CALL LOG-
App doesn’t always show the calls that come in. I received a call today and it only shows details from yesterday. App was running in the background the entire time!

-NO CONTACT SYNCING VIA NETWORK-
this app Business desk-phone does NOT show any contacts. There’s no syncing whatsoever between the MJ Business desk-phone and MJ Business app.

They over charged my business for over a year. I cancelled there service and went with someone else and am glad I did. Avoid at all costs. Glad they over charged me. They saved me thousands of dollars not using them.

The quality of the calls are mostly very good!

But I have been having an issue of not being able to take incoming calls
I pick up the many incoming calls, but the other side can’t hear me or even acknowledge that I picked up the phone!
