SumTotal sends me in a loop of errors and login screens, all of which send me to various error screens. Even the support button in SumTotal's Apple App Store description leads to a 404 error. No support, can't even log a ticket via this app Connect. You have to be a system admin to even contact this app for support. Zero support for the end users.

Try many ways to find the courses I want but it fails.

I add the course I want to favorites from laptop then search on phone app; I search the full name on the phone app; I try to use the library address on phone app; copy the link from laptop and share to phone... All of them fail, waste a lot of time for it.

No way to download audiobook for listening offline (just uses cellular data), stops playing when you leave SumTotal or the phone locks, and no native audio controls (watch, lock screen, etc.). Pretty poor solution compared to other options.

Whomever decided this app was a good idea for my company should be fired. I thought online it sucked. SumTotal brings that to a whole new level. Every single part of this app is with out though or direction. I think the only people on here who give it five stars are corporate clowns who don’t actually have to use it or get their assistants to do it for them. Absolute trash!!!!  needs to add negative stars to their review option for companies like the one producing this app!!!

Can’t sign in. No relevant choices associated with my work. Does not recognize my email, and I have no idea what URL it is asking for. My home Wifi is down, and I only have a few days left to complete training. Now, this useless app will not let me in, and my Wifi will not be fixed until after my videos are due. I screenshot SumTotal to show my boss I can’t complete the tasks. Hopefully they will drop SumTotal.

It would probably be a good idea to REMOVE SumTotal and link to any APP on your website—because it does not work. And if it does, the developer should learn how to provide a way to use app because it does not work with either method 1) email 2) link to web url.

App developer reached out to attempt to customer service review left behind, and here is my response to you: You don’t need a reviewer to specially email you. You need to simply read the review left behind.

Simply identify what contracts you hold, which can’t possibly be many since the system does not run well on SumTotal . Then paste in the website you claim goes with company to see if it works with app. Then use email test account with company to see if it works. This is not rocket science. Testing and retesting app. *don’t just reply to reviewer and ask for special email, do the work. Ensure your app works; otherwise, pull it off—it’s embarrassing to have that many bad reviews. It’s obvious no one is checking SumTotal and making improvements, as it still runs the same as when I attempted to use it last year—it does not work by pasting in website or with email method.

This is the least user friendly app ever! I have been trying to start my training for over 30 minutes and still no luck. Deleted and redownladed. Still no luck. If you don’t want us to do training on our phones just tell us not to do it on our phones. Don’t make us jump thru hoops. This whole system need to be revamped.

Slow as in it takes 5+ mins on WIFI to open a task. You don’t even get a “loading bar” showing the status is loading. My tasks require a new window to pop open. I’ve waited 15 minutes and a window never popped open. I’m afraid this is just a battery waster.

I downloaded SumTotal to make it easier to catch up at home. Unfortunately, the only thing I got was a headache. It only allowed me to take, not even, 1/4 of the test I have. I could have completed as much at work and been paid for it. I don’t recommend SumTotal.

I would give it a zero star if I could. Not user friendly, every lesson or module can be different on how to advance to the next page. Pulling it up is a nightmare depending on the device being used. We can put a person on the moon but we can’t figure how to make this learning app easy to use.

This is one of the worst apps I have ever had to use the coding and programming is garbage and routinely logs me out when attempting to take a course or just fails to load the course at all

If I could give negative stars I would give this a -3/5

Someone got rich off a trash application and it’s comical how badly they got ripped off ✌️🗑

I was unable to login on my iphone (though I could on my iPad). Support from this app got back to me promptly to explain that I needed to contact my own university IT to resolve the issue. By that time I had already completed the training on my laptop but it wasn’t the apps fault. Next training I will try again!

With all the negative reviews I was going to give it only one or two tries. So I put in the url and nothing. Next I put in my WORK email and it asks to create a pin. And that’s it. Now, all I had was a READ lesson so no idea how other lessons with questions & answers will perform. Will keep updating.

Was able to download my course work pretty quickly. Simple easy sign on and user experience is great.

Every time I get a training via email and am stupid enough to try and use my cell phone to access it all I get is a endless circular game of download SumTotal request then SumTotal opens and then I open SumTotal which sends me to the same damnable page to download SumTotal . When I enter my email it goes “Whatchu talkin about Willis” your email isn’t registered. Well then how can I do this, crap training nonetheless, from my laptop? App is trash and should be deleted. My solution is to open my company link on my cell phone, then in my web browsers options I select “request desktop site” and just do it from the desktop version…and somehow, my email works just fine this route. I open my required courses, a second window opens in which an error screen appears and no course can be seen. I close this window, open the previous window and it asks if I completed the course in which I obviously select “yes” for wasting my time and the course is off my to do list. I didn’t learn a thing but I’m compliant nonetheless. Thank you this app, easiest courses I ever took. For that I’ll give you 5 stars.

I love the ability to take training on-the-go on my cell as I am traveling frequently. It’s easy to use and can access offline.

Downloaded SumTotal to access all my learning, it couldn’t have been any easier. Completed my required coursework and had access to other learning objectives that applied to me. Nicely done!

Fantastic app. Easy to use and intuitive. Works well on my iPhone and I can do my training on the go. Love the offline player too.
Not sure why this gets back reviews.

For those who are having a negative experience you need to talk to your company’s administrator as they are responsible for the configuration of the environment and the modules.
As an administrator I found it easy to use and so far does everything we’ve intended it to do.

Doesn’t work. I can log in and see my profile but every time I try to launch a message appears saying the course will launch in a separate window but it never does. Worthless.

Does nothing. No instructions how to set up or access. Stuck in loop between this and company web site. Would complain to company but wasted enough time already. Forced to use company training site on desktop rather than phone. Who comes up with this crap?

Someone promised some companythey would have an app for employee training and charged the sucker top dollar just to get an intern to write a useless browser wrapper. SumTotal is completely useless, no matter what URL I use it says it’s invalid even though it works well on a PC browser. What a piece of junk

App takes you back to app store to download SumTotal which takes you to the appstore to download and again and again

Others have gotten this to work, but my iPhone 6 (all up to date) is freezing on the SETUP OFFLINE PIN. It’s grayed out and nothing I click allows me to enter anything.

App seems to work fine. Although when I log in it doesn’t show any tasks even though I do have tasks online.

Not sure what’s up with the negative reviews but I installed latest version on Xr and it works easily and loads fast. Also like the ability to use email rather than URL

Wow what an improvement. This is gives me everything I need as a manager to stay on top of all my learning needs as well as my teams! Great for taking out on the floor to do OJTs and remind my guys who don’t all sit in front of computers all day.
