About: One of the easiest ways to become a happier person is to experience more
sunlight every day. Skylight can help make that happen through a beautiful app
experience designed for everyone.

About Skylight

The Apple Watch complications show you how much sunlight is left in the day, or when upcoming events like Golden Hour are taking place.

Skylight includes a universal app for iPad and iPhone, an Apple Watch app with complications, and three widgets.

- Apple Watch app and complications with daylight clock and events.

The complications are a beautiful addition to the watch face and offer one of the most effective ways to use the app.

- Year view, showing the entire year's daily sun events with a simple drag of your finger.

The Today Widget shows you the app information in a quick, glanceable form, so daylight info is always at your fingertips, either in your Today view or with a 3D Touch on the app icon.

- Spotlight support, so you can just type "Golden Hour" from your phone's home screen to pull up today's info.

- Three different configurable widgets: Year Graph, Daylight Graph, and Gradient.

- Skylight can optionally use GPS in the background to ensure notifications are correct even if you change location.

Gain a better sense of sunlight lost and gained through the seasons and adjust your routine to make sure you get enough light.

- Beautiful fluid visual display showing the position of the sun over time.

Skylight can help make that happen through a beautiful app experience designed for everyone.

One of the easiest ways to become a happier person is to experience more sunlight every day.

- Location picker to see sun events and graphs for anywhere on earth.

I love this

I find it a real drag when the sun goes down. It's so nice to see a simple little complication showing how much "energetic time" there is left in the day before it starts to feel like the day's over.

Very Helpful

Perfect for my real estate business. I can know when it is too late to take exterior pictures, and time my appointments accordingly.

Love it!

I like to travel, and I use Skylight all the time to help me plan my travels. For my trip to Iceland, it really helped me plan for the best daylight times.

Absolutely the most beautiful I’ve found

I’ve been meaning to say this for a while now, but typically don’t write reviews. However, having gone through a few other apps that claim to provide similar information, I struggled to use them because they all had these horribly ugly “color wheels” that are so hard to even read.
What you have done with Skylight is stunningly beautiful!
More natural colors of the sun’s position (instead of just hideous oranges) AND you’ve done it in a way that makes total sense!
In fact, I wish I could use your widgets as the background of my watch! Unfortunately, I have so much info on there already, it would all get lost in your app!! LOL
Thank you, so much for creating what is the most beautiful, informative and easy to understand app about the sun’s daily and annual cycles. And for doing it for the Watch, too!
I’m amazed at how many developers just don’t seem to know or care that the Watch exists. I use it as much as my iPhone, and would use it much more if more developers like you took the time to do what you have done. Unfortunately, it seems like 90% of Watch apps are all fitness crap things.
You have done more than create a wonderfully amazing app for the Watch. You’ve proven that there can be more to a Watch app than “did I drink water? Or “ how many steps did I take?”
The Watch can be an intellectual an educational tool for so much more in the world.
Personally, I don’t give a darn about how many steps or drinks of water I’ve had because I already did all that naturally before the Watch or iPhone even came along. If you’re too stupid to drink enough water, you should probably re-examine your life, not buy an app.
Skylight TAKES IT ALL TO AN INTELLECTUAL LEVEL IN SUCH A BEAUTIFUL WAY, I BELIEVE EVEN STEVE JOBS WOULD HAVE BEEN PROUD.
Thank you, again, for the thought, effort, time and whatever else you’ve put into Skylight. It is actually one of (now) 4 apps which have kept me from trashing my Apple Watch as a waste of time and money.
Thank you!!

I have to say it again. I just can’t help it.
You chose awesome colors for Skylight!
I was using Sundial, because I really liked the watch complication, but the developer stopped the Watch app. :p
Then I found SolarWatch, and while I liked the idea, the color wheel thing is HORRIBLE! Painful to look at.

Skylight, this app, not only does what the others did, but you made it enjoyable to use.

Seriously, the guy who wrote SolarWatch and thought a large widget of just that wheel thing was a good idea! That’s pretty much when I trashed it for good.
LUCKILY, I had already found your app and only use it now.
I honestly like looking at my iPhone more.

Just thought you’d like to know!

Widget

Widget does not update in the background I have to click on it for it to update. It shows me 49% of the day left where there was only 19% left.

I will update my review when app gets updated
