Raisin: Natural Wine & Food Reviews

Raisin seems to have a breadth of genuinely good suggestions. I know the focus is natural wine, but I could see something like this expanded to encompass other wine and dining categories. If I can go anywhere in the world and have a recommendation of good shops, bars, and restaurants, and wine makers that’s a huge asset. I’m excited to try the suggestions during my visit to Spain in August. The one detriment is the lack of places that are available in North America, especially on the west coast.

I’ve been in the Food and Drink industries for years and Raisin is the only thing I’ve seen that advocates for and educates about natural wines. Finally! It’s time to get more people excited about natural wine; the thoughtful process, the expressive flavors. The saying goes, “nothing added, nothing taken away.” However, the addition of Raisin is a gift that will continue to add greatly.

This is a great app for lovers of low-intervention winemakers and the establishments that support them. Whether looking for a producer to contact while traveling or a wine bar to drink at in your own city, Raisin points you in the right direction to find what you are after. Highly recommended!

I downloaded Raisin, launched it, and deleted it without using it. My one star rating (I wish it could be zero stars) is based upon the need to set up an account to use it. Why do I need to provide my email address and why do I need a password accessible account to use Raisin? This really smacks of insidious data collection. I would dearly love an explanation from the author(s). I neither need nor want to be deluged by spam emails or have my contact information sold or provided to other marketers. Ridiculous!

Very useful and well designed. I love using this app when I travel to Europe. It helps me find places where I can drink natural wine and eat good food!

Hate to leave such a negative review but you guys are charging to have people put their wineries on this?!!? You don’t have a single location on LA listed and why punish natural wine makers who struggle as is in California. Why not give them free listings! Then charge extra for ads. Then you might get actual users in one of the most dominant natural wine markets in the world.

The one star review does not speak on the behalf of the UI, but rather on the fact that Raisin requires the user to sign up for an account. Furthermore, the user is prompted to agree to Raisin ’s privacy policy and term & conditions. If you click on either links, they both appear to be broken (from an insecure source). I enjoy natural wine, but not enough to sacrifice my privacy and data.

i own a restaurant and am an avid natural wine drinker and i’m just super grateful that an app like this app exists. it is basically ensuring that, no matter where i am, i don’t have to run the risk of drinking conventional wine. it also brings a lot of people through my restaurant and is directly aiding the perpetuation of natural wines

I love Raisin but it can be quite buggy. I’d recommend seeking out the big producers/importers and see if they’d pay for some adds to give you more funds for servers and maintenance and whatnot. But you do you.

I love Raisin for finding natural wine while traveling and to discover new spots in my own city!

Or, at least, the ability to cut-and-paste into a translation app. Then I would give 4 stars.

Best wine app out there!

Raisin is an absolute must to find all the good places for natural wine. We used in on recent trip to France and discovered tons of little gems of bars and wine shop. Just locate yourself on the map and it shows you all the bars, restaurants and shop near by. Please continue to add more locations in the US. Well done!

Now wherever I travel I can know in advance the best places to enjoy my favorite wines - the world just got smaller & my choices for the best in wine - just got much bigger.

Natural wine bars tend to be much more friendlier places to hangout & chat with like minded people - more of a community ...
