Don't waste your time!

I never even got to see a doctor. I was booted from the queue twice being told that "the provider is not available anymore" only to go back looking for someone else and realize that my provider was still available I was just kicked out of the queue for no reason and moved from 4 people ahead of me to 8 people ahead of me because I had to fill out the paperwork again. My third attempt was going well until I was transferred to another provider for "quicker service" only to go from 1 person ahead of me to 8 people ahead of me in a matter of seconds (the provider I was with before only had 6 ahead of me) then when I finally got to 1 person ahead of me with the latest provider I was told my provider was no longer available. You're not going to get to talk to a doctor don't bother I wasted 3 hours today and an hour yesterday.

Big company that doesn’t care.

I had a visit back in January. It lasted 3 minutes. BlueCareOnDemand said the co-pay was $20 and I had to enter my card number. Now months later I have an unexpected charge on my account for $39. I called to address it and I am writing this while I have been waiting for over 20 minutes for someone to answer the phone. The country is going through an economic crisis and they are still hard at work charging my card.
PS: BlueCareOnDemand doesn’t have a way to delete your payment info so they can charge you when they want.

Update*** the company responded to this review by telling me to email them. No surprise that I did and haven’t received a response.

Doesn’t work

I tried several times to see a doctor. The first time I waited for over an hour and when it was my turn it kicked me out and made me start over again. The next time I was next in line it said the doctor was checking over my file then put me back in the waiting room with 4 people ahead of me. I waited at least 30 minutes and the patient count never changed. Tried one more time this morning and I waited for a doctor for over an hour and when it was my turn it kicked me out and sent me back to the start page. BlueCareOnDemand is beyond frustrating and not worth your time!

Ugh! Forget this app!!!

Spent over 2 hours of my time to do a virtual visit. With the first doctor I was 2 patients away but because I clicked the button to see someone quicker, the system stated it was switching providers. Yep! You guessed it... provider not available and I had to start all over again! Now I’m 11th in line again! Now I wait again...
Now it’s my turn and it’s attempting to connect the video. Oops! Unable to connect! But guess what! I got charged for the visit anyway!!! For nothing!
Next I call customer service. FORTY FIVE MINUTES ON HOLD!!! Spoke to 2 different people and was transferred twice to billing. On the second transfer... I was DISCONNECTED! Call number 2... an hour on hold... finally was able to speak with someone who told me...
1- there is nobody available in billing and she could complete a refund request.
2- probably those I spoke with on my prior call didn’t actually work for the company and were just attempting to put my call through to where they THOUGHT it needed to go.
3- if the doctor is unsuccessful with the video chats, they have your phone number and are supposed to CALL you!!!

Very disappointed with this process and app.

Not worth $59

You won’t get an antibiotic. They will just tell you it’s viral. I have chronic sinus infections which always require and antibiotic, and always turns into bronchitis. I know the difference between cold viruses and bacterial infections in my body! She told me to wait 10-14 days and my immune system will kill it off. Well within 10-14 days I’ll be cured or dead lol !! Trust me I will have to end up going to the Dr. for an antibiotic. Plus my kids are sick with the same thing and they have an antibiotic from the walk in regular Dr. and with a CBC (complete blood count) which proved its bacterial not viral! It’s going around! Oh well, I tried, it sucked.

Charged $175 instead of $90 for a follow up appointment

I completed my initial visit which I paid $175. The doctor scheduled me for a 3 month follow up appointment and the charge on the email was $90. He told me if I needed to reschedule I could so I rescheduled and I ended up having to pay $175 as if it was an initial visit instead of a follow up. I called Customer Support, about 2 weeks later they emailed me a Case Number and here it is another 2 weeks has passed and still no response as to why I was charged so much for literally a 10 minute follow up visit. Very disappointed.

Probably easy to do if you aren’t a twin

I couldn’t create account because my information is similar to what they have on file. Maybe I used a nickname? (I didn’t use a nickname) so then I went to check if it say I signed up before. It’s my twins email address. I had to be on hold for 15 min to get it setup. Finally did and the person was very polite and professional, I am still annoyed a bit though that I had to do this at all

I used BlueCareOnDemand to try to save myself a visit from the ER for a toothache. I had some log in trouble because my email address was somehow showing up as already a registered app user so I had to call the customer service number which surprisingly was open at 11:30 on Saturday evening.
Long story short, I was able to get in BlueCareOnDemand after my phone call and I was able to see a great doctor who called in some antibiotics which I’m leaving now to go get. Thank you for having this service available to save me hours of waiting at the ER and tons of the associated ER costs! I only deducted a star because of snafu of initial login/signup trouble.

Reliable and easy to use

A very easy to use app with reliable care. They could not prescribe the muscle relaxer that I needed (reason for my appointment), but because he could not help, the doctor “cancelled” the visit and I was not charged! I really appreciated that he was quick to the point/straight forward and clearly valued my time and money and did not wish to waste it. Thanks to him, I will absolutely use BlueCareOnDemand again if I need it for something else that can be prescribed/treated through BlueCareOnDemand . A good service!

I have used BlueCareOnDemand 3 times since last year. They listen to you and what you have to say and are very helpful each time. Plus it’s so convenient. The doctors office is closed now where I usually go. This helps because the doctors are listed and you know your wait time. I highly recommend BlueCareOnDemand. Plus with COVID this is the best way to be seen.

Super quick and thorough

Great app! Took no time at all on a Saturday morning to get connected to a doctor. I’d had a low grade fever and coughing for three days straight. The doctor was very thorough and I was prescribed an antibiotic sent electronically to my local pharmacy. This was my first time using it and it did take a few minutes to set up with my personal info, but much better than sitting for hours in the waiting room around other germs or exposing people to my germs. Highly recommend for BCBS customers!

Horrible customer service. I was lied to and had to find out for myself that what the guy said to me was just a flat out lie, not a mistake...but a lie. He couldn’t answer any of my questions with anything but ,”I am not a board certified attorney or board certified physician”. If you can’t answer any questions then you don’t need to work with that company PERIOD!!!

She is the smartest and nicest doctor I have ever had the pleasure to meet. She listens and is truly caring and has an excellent virtual bedside manner! She explains what is going on with your body and why you might be having the issue you are having. She knows exactly what to do and explains why she is doing it. I only wish she lived in my state so I could make her my primary doctor. She is a true brilliant medical professional and what is even more important is that she really shows she cares about her patients and does whatever she can to alleviate their condition. The best doctor ever! Thank you so much doc!!

This is the second time I’ve use BlueCareOnDemand and I have to say I am extremely pleased with it. It’s better than having to wait 2 to 3 days to go see your primary doctor or going into the doc in a box. Plus I’m not exposing myself to anything that might be in the waiting room. I will be using this again and would recommend it to others, definitely.

I saw my first doctor who simply told me to go to an Urgent Care. I was devastated as I didn’t want to leave the house during COVID19. I waited 3 days as the symptoms got worse. I tried again and the doctor was amazing. She listened to me, gave excellent advice and prescriptions to ease the symptoms. I am grateful to her because I was able to remain quarantined, keep my family safe, and also feel better.

Great quick solution - very easy & professional

I’m very impressed with this fast system to see a doctor. Just set up your profile in advance, so you are ready to go when you need it. My co-pay was 50% less than going to urgent care for my respiratory infection. Plus, I could stay home resting. Dr. sent in prescription for me. Dr. was very professional and knowledgeable. This will be my go-to first for things like this. :)

My family and I are out of town on a trip to the mountains and my 1 year old son got sick with an ear infection. I used Blue Care On Demand and saw a Physician almost immediately and a prescription was issued to the local drug store within a matter of minutes. I am overwhelming satisfied with the Blue Care On Demand process and how quickly and effortlessly the process went to get my son feeling better. Thank you to Dr. Russell he was awesome and I will definitely be using Tele Health services in the future!

I like BlueCareOnDemand I’ve been using it for several years now. Now this is my go to app when I ever have a problem in between doctor visits. Are used to use it when I didn’t have a doctor all and it worked fine that way as well. The point is BlueCareOnDemand a good thing and I’d recommend for you to try.

Very frustrating and maddening!

I spent almost two hours selecting doctors, entering information, re-entering information when I’d get a message saying my first two doctors were no longer available, and finally got in line to talk to a doctor. There were three patients ahead of me. I waited over an hour until I was next. Then I got the same “doctor is unavailable” message! I hate that I wasted my evening trying this new technology. I’ll be seeing a doctor in person tomorrow and won’t be trusting this to be easier!

Why bother

I downloaded BlueCareOnDemand earlier this evening around 7pm, signed up, provided my information, medical history and payment info. Since that time I have been in line with 6 different doctors. It is now 1:40am and still have not been connected to a doctor.

Once you're in the "waiting room" you are shown how many patients are ahead of you. Each time I because patient #5, the doctor would become unavailable and I'd be reset to another doctor with 30 patients ahead of me.

Waste of time and energy.

I’ve had sinus infections before.......lots of them. I get sick once a year and it’s usually a sinus infection. If I catch it in time and take one round of antibiotics I can nip it in the bud. This doctor told me that I didn’t have a sinus infection because my neck didn’t hurt. What? Don’t mind the green drainage, swollen eyes, painful face and teeth. She wanted me to try over the counter meds for two weeks and call back. Are you kidding? No thanks. I’ll take the time and go to my REAL doctor. I’ve learned my lesson today. Will not use this service again.

I live in a rural area and my primary doctor is difficult to get into see. I found this virtual doctor visit very useful and friendly. I felt comfortable talking to him and it saved so much time for a minor issue. He was able to send a prescription directly to my pharmacy. Thank you, this is a great app and service!

I called urgent care earlier in the day, they said a two hour wait......I decided to wait then missed them because they closed. Got online and in 10 minutes I have my prescription called in for antibiotic and heading to get it! Will definitely use again!

I love BlueCareOnDemand. It’s very easy to use, and it’s incredibly convenient. I love saving the hassle of going to my regular doctor or a retail health clinic for something annoying but not too serious. I’ve used it several times over the past couple of years, and find it very helpful. I got my son and myself treated for pinkeye late on a a Friday afternoon. I would have had to wait until Monday for our regular doctors if they could fit us in, or go sit at the Minute Clinic for a good portion of a Saturday. I love having this option. It’s the best employee perk that I have.

This was quick and easy! 15 minutes including updating my information . Spent as much face time as I would have at urgent care. Since my doctor's office didn't call back to scheduled and appointment that's where I was headed. Prepped dinner while I was waiting AND didn't get exposed to new illnesses in the waiting room. My new go-to!

Awesome for families

Doctor in my house in 10 minutes? And my insurance is linked up to their service? And they save all the notes so I can refer back to otc medicine names and frequency needed? BlueCareOnDemand is a mom sanity-saver. We have used it twice this week, and will not drag sick kids to the doctor unnecessarily again. Love, love, love.

“Disaster” This is the absolute most worthless app! Went through 3 different supposedly professional medical people, and got kicked out 3 times with zero discussion with anyone! After waiting almost 3 hours!!!! This service SUCKS out loud! Will never use this app again.

-Doctor refused to write script for antibiotics despite documented history; I went to local doctor & got prescription. - Billed twice for same service - Billed full $59 fee despite having met deductible. Correction finally made to bill $23 but how many people realize they’re being over billed?
