I love audio Bibles. The Message is a good one to listen to. However I wish TheMessageHolyBible wouldn’t end every single chapter with a voice that says, “times up.” I would rate it five stars if it would just play continuously through an entire book at a time as well. I hate having to go in and press play for each new chapter. And the saying, “times up” is startling and unnecessary.

This Bible is so readable. Verses and chapters that I have memorized over my life in King James open up in a new way. I do wish all apps would give the option to pay right on the first App Store screen. I’m very happy to pay to bypass ads, but we should have that option at the beginning.

I got this and wish I could get a refund. I set the night timer for 15 minutes, but even with this setting, it stops at the end of every chapter and says "times up". Then you have to press play again to move to the next chapter.
There is no way to fall asleep to this or even to listen during the day without constantly managing it.

Just started using the message bible, love the simplicity and everyday language. The reader also has a pleasant voice. Can you add an up rotation so that it moves as the verses are read.

I drive a lot and love TheMessageHolyBible. You can download chapters and listen to them offline without having to use up bandwidth. Thanks for the great app!

Reading Great; however, continuation stopped and support still had not fixed it. Also it’s difficult to find TheMessageHolyBible on other devices for download.

The Message Version is a fresh translation with a lot of interesting word pictures I like it but it will Never be my go to Bible for
Faith and Practice and for deeper study
But it is frequently Powerful and thought provoking
The man doing the audio however is THE MOST DYNAMIC AND POWERFUL VOICE IN ALL OF ENGLISH AUDIO IVE HEARD
he is electrifying
He should certainly do a more close to the text translation

I learn easier hearing and reading at the same time. This will be my Home Bible on my smart phone. May This Bible bless my life and draw me closer. To Jesus. Thank you🙏

Doesn’t highlight the verse being read. The chapter doesn’t move according to the verse being read. I like the voice, but disappointed over these two things

I love this version of the Message Bible because it marks the give chapter and verse just like the King James Bible so I can compare verse by verse.

I searched for free audio bible and TheMessageHolyBible came up. Not doubting my fellow family in Christ I downloaded TheMessageHolyBible . In order for audio to play you have to pay! Why not just be honest! I know you know what free is. Free is gods grace towards us! So I know you know what it means. Seriously!!!Unexpected.

I love the direct and active way the narrator speaks. Thank you!

Is TheMessageHolyBible ally free?

It says it’s free, but after downloading the entire app, in order to listen you must pay 5.99. Which is not a bad price, just misleading.

So excited to find an app for the entire message Bible not just the New Testament. And I thought that the 599 download fee after listening to three chapters for free was not bad. The first couple of books I listen to went smoothly except for chapter 19. For some reason, they missed chapter 19 in every book, I think. I have not listen to that many books yet, but I decided to go forward to Isaiah, as I wanted to listen to the second half of it. I am finding that with this book, the chapters frequently get stuck somewhere in the middle. And it is not like you can hit play to just start where it left off; it has to go back to the beginning. Other chapters will play OK, but when they get to the end, they will not automatically go to the next chapter. So there are all sorts of problems and Isaiah and/or problems happening with TheMessageHolyBible in general right now. The whole point of this for me is that I can listen to and easier and fresher version of the Bible during illness in a big story sort of way without studying.I am greatly disappointed to find that I can't even get through the chapter most of the time now without technical difficulties. I really hope they get on this quickly. Thank you so much!

I'm frustrated that I can't download all of the bible. It says download fail null. It won't let me download it. Oh ya and I asked for a free audio bible and they want 5.99 to listen to it! 😠 I am also mad on every single book I can't download chapter 19 except Psalms, and with psalms I can't download the first 99 psalms except chapter 19 and then psalms 100 on. The rest of the chapters say download fail null! Seriously!

Do not buy TheMessageHolyBible! Audio works for the first day only ! Then you will be promoted to pay $ 5.99 to " unlock" audio!
Read the fine print!
