So, you’ve made an app. But I can’t do anything like cancel or modify a flight myself. I still need to talk to a person. But only through your app because you didn’t include the phone number in my itinerary. I have to download your app. Your app makes me sign up. You have privacy statements. Your app makes me talk to a bot. Your app queues me to talk to a person. Over text. Which means I can’t drive, or do anything else. I just sit here staring at my screen waiting for something to happen. All I want to do is phone someone, and say “I need to cancel that flight.” Or even better just hit a button to cancel it. But no, you have an app. An app that literally makes this more difficult than anything I have experienced before. And I get to pay for the pleasure. The only reason I use this is because my company forces me to use it. And I will now be actively campaigning for them to get something else. If this is the glorious future of apps, you can keep it.

I have tried, several times to use AmexGBT for my travel. My company books through AMEX GBT. AMEX GBT can’t even get Travel, that they booked, to show up in their own app. I have tried getting help from their tech support, but they are useless. All I get is emails saying “We are working on the problem” or “it’s fixed and we are closing your case”. I gave you many chances. I have been trying to get AmexGBT to work for 2 months.

When you call the Amex Travel line, an automated voice tells you to check the online booking tool (GBT) for information or to make changes to bookings.
However, AmexGBT doesn’t actually allow you to change/book anything. Completely useless.
Meanwhile, I’m literally already 1hr 17min on the waiting line. Great customer service. Time for an alternative provider!

Utterly useless app. This is just a shell of an application. They have not added functionality for actually booking hotels or flights. If you have made a flight reservation from the American or Jet Blue apps, for example, you can manually add the trip by entering the confirmation number, and AmexGBT will track the trip. But other than this, I don’t see any practical use for AmexGBT.

AmexGBT is useless. What’s the point of an app when all you can do is - almost nothing. How can you come up with some stupid setup to be able to book a trip from this stupid app. That should be baked in it and not an extra feature on some Neo nonsense. You might as well just delete it because all I book I can check and get alerts from the airlines, hotels and car rentals I use for freedom their free apps.
I don’t understand what’s the point for companies to use this and pay a fee when I still have to do the leg work booking it all on an outdated website or call an agent and be charged a fee for it. I should charge you for doing nothing.

Have used AmexGBT for about 1.5 years. Previous version had calendar link which automatically added travel to your calendar. However, update broke calendar functionality and app crashes when you attempt to add a trip to your calendar. Please fix!!

Couldn’t login with the corrected login credential. Click on Reset Password multiple times , but never received emails

On a recent trip with a connection in Houston, my first leg was delayed and it looked like I was going to miss my connection. Using AmexGBT, I was able to connect to an agent via the built in messaging, change my connecting flight and while other travelers on the flight scrambled once in Houston, I calmly walked off the plane knowing my connection was booked!

After our flight had been canceled, instead of sprinting to the customer service desk to get on the next flight out, I was sitting at the gate, peacefully chatting with a travel counselor who was able to rebook my flight through the Amex GBT Mobile app. I never even had to call! It’s so nice to have my itinerary all in one place to reference easily and message with an agent whenever I need to. This has saved me so much time and stress!!!! Thank you for making my life easier.

Received notifications for flight delays and messaged an agent from AmexGBT . In a few minutes my flight was cancelled and a new one booked with a different airline. Simple and easy servicing while on the go. Don’t travel without it.

Love the new AMEX GBT app. Setting up an account was a breeze. Easy navigation screens and instructions. And love the little plane that goes by waiting for email confirmation. Highly recommend it!

I was stuck on a runway for an hour or more a few weeks ago at around 8pm. There was a weather issue so I suspected that we would be turned back to the gate. For security reasons with all the delays, I was not willing to fly out later and arrive at my destination at 1am. Rather than wait to get back to the gate, I chatted with an agent on the GBT app and booked a hotel near the airport and rebooked my flight for the next day morning all from my plane seat. It was easy and convenient. Sure enough, we turned back and while most folks were rushing to the gate agents, I walked out of the aircraft and headed to the hotel for a good night’s rest.
Next morning, I was all set to take on the world !!

I use AmexGBT whenever I’m traveling for work— it’s so helpful to have my hotel and flight info together. I can even use it to book for work. Great app!

This featured saved me when stranded at the airport last spring. At first I was concerned because it was all non-verbal but the counselor assured me it would work and it did! If not for this service I would not have gotten home that night.

I was able to change my hotel during a meeting -to avoid protestors in Hong Kong- everything was completed during my chat session- the agent was even able to confirm she was successful in getting the cancel fee waived!! So valuable!!

AmexGBT is so helpful! I’ve received notifications of gate changes before it was posted at the gate. I also appreciated the click to call feature to access an agent to assist with an urgent change request.

Just updated to the new app and impressed with the changes. Very clean looking and the icons on the bottom of the screen are great.

Not new but have always liked the ability to book a trip from door to door, including ground transportation, rather than just airport to airport.

Keep up the good work.

I absolutely love my Amex GBT Mobile App! I get all travel updates, notifications, and can communicate with agents via chat or phone with a click of a button! Brilliant!!!

It is a very pretty app, but the experience is hindered by the lack of utility found within it. For example, it can show you your hotel reservation, but that's it. You cannot make any modifications or even simply cancel the reservation. It's basically just a pretty itinerary, and there are many many apps I can do the same and more.

AmexGBT works great all the time after the last update, I travel often for work and have been using it for years, also developers do read comments and complaints, thank you for your response, your app works great. Below is my previous comment..

It was working great for me until this last update, now every time when trying to login it forecloses AmexGBT , please fix, I travel a lot for my company and AmexGBT is a must have for me, because we book everything through American Express Global Travel.

BTW using iPhone X.

Another great experience chatting with an agent!
Got stuck on the road with the recent Houston storms & GBT was able to change my plans multiple times to get me home - all done via AmexGBT ! Updates to the itins flowed seamlessly so I could quickly access where I needed to be via AmexGBT

I needed to change my flight & was in an all day meeting so had limited time to talk on the phone. I was able to quickly message a TC, change my flight & they were even able to waive my change fees! Very quick and very easy!

When you’re on the road as much as I am it’s easy to lose track of stuff and need to change things on the go BUT AmexGBT keeps me organized and gives me quick access to agents when I need them. A+

Easy to book simple trips from my phone. Also easy to use it to contact an agent for help - I liked the built-in chat capability.
