So bad only the government could’ve put it together

Like everyone else, being forced to login to an external website EVERY SINGLE TIME you open CWTSatoToGo is ridiculous. If you change to another app, log in again. If the screen dims, log in again. Ludicrous. There’s no PII, no credit card information. Just typical heavy handed (and ineffective) red tape. There really needs to be warning on CWTSatoToGo - it will waste a lot more time than the very small benefit it may provide. Use the airline and hotel apps; even using multiple apps will be faster and more helpful than fighting this piece of crap.

Garbage app

Your app is garbage. Tried to create an account and I’m immediately met with “you need to change your password to login.” Fine, I go to the change password page. I type in at least 15 different password combinations, all of which conform with the password policy and I’m met with the same message: “password does not conform with policy” or “cannot use the same password used previously.” I literally just signed up; how can I have used those passwords before? I’m using passwords that I’m coming up with off the top of my head that I’ve never used in my life. So I try to change it using the desktop and I’m greeted with the same crap. So it’s not even worth it. Your app is garbage, your website is garbage. If vulgarity could be used to express my disgust, I would be using it. -5 stars

Not Helpful At All

CWTSatoToGo is slightly better then being on hold for the 2+ hours I have been sitting here. Because the first flight was heavily delayed I missed my connection back to the states. Shockingly, NO ONE answers the phone and CWTSatoToGo makes you call the same number to book the flight as well. So saying it’s not helpful is an understatement. While I type this I get to listen to the hood music with the occasional “all agents are busy” sure I could wait to be called back but I know that won’t happen, especially on a weekend. So 0 stars out of 5.

Complete waste of time

I just spent 30 minutes logging in. 30 minutes! I have an account, but forgot the password. So I changed it using the process. It didn’t work. It said it took the new password, but the new password would not work. I believe I tried to change it to one of my past 10 passwords ( HELLO! I’m changing the password because I forgot it, so how am I supposed to know my last 10 passwords in order to choose something different?). It said the password was changed successfully, but it was not. When I finally tried something completely different, it worked right away. At which point I found out that my CWT account is actually under an old email, because the account says I have no travel. So I repeat the process for the old email address. After all this, CWTSatoToGo just directs me to the airline’s web site to make a flight change. I needed to change airlines. Thanks for nothing CWTSato. I will be using the individual airline apps from here on out.

Nothing Special

CWTSatoToGo doesn’t do anything special that I wasn’t doing with my other apps. It actually is a pain because whenever I need the info it kicks me out and wants to redo the password which I need access to my work email which I don’t have on my phone. It doesn’t help when the airline cancels my flight with no notice and I have to call the emergency SATO and wait 3 hours for them to tell me they can’t help and I have to wait until my local office opens. Travel a lot for work and pretty much stopped wasting my time with CWTSatoToGo.

Needs TouchID and Better Login process

Once you are in CWTSatoToGo , very handy to have flight/car/hotel info all in one place. But the login process is overly cumbersome (IKR, “first world” problem). Needs a TouchID login that gets you straight to trip info, all with one hand....which is exactly the scenario walking thru the airport trying to remember your flight info, which rental car company that the Gov’t foisted on you, and what hotel you are staying in. But today, you have to open CWTSatoToGo , hit login, then agree to go to actual website (outside of CWTSatoToGo ), type in your email address (overly long for DOD employees) and a complicated password (two-handed job unless you want to keep making mistakes), then back to app. Just give us automotive jump to TouchID and be done with all that foolishness.

Overall good app but logging in takes it from great to good

I like most parts of the application: can update you on flights changes and get your boarding pass easily. But I don’t like that it always requires me to put in my entire logon or password and won’t save it. honestly sometimes I copy and paste my password from my password app and it won’t take it even though it’s exactly the same. Has odd authentication behavior

Love it! But password issue- cumbersome

Absolutely love that everything is in here, your flight information, the layover, and hotel and car rental. It’s truly fantastic.
But the password turning off after a few minutes is ridiculous.
You have to login every every every time. And you have to change your password every few months. My bank is easier to get into.
It does store your information for flying, but when you’re at the gate, and then it turns off and then you’re in the front of the line and everybody’s getting annoyed because it’s taking you so long… please change this. You can add a 4 digit pin if you want. We have Face ID; this is my phone…
Thank you.

Receive notifications but have to log in every time.

I’m actually traveling today. Every time I receive a notification, then I have to manually type in the lengthy email address and password. When I was mid flight, I received a notification, but could not open CWTSatoToGo . Had to wait upon landing, type everything in again, and see my flight updates.
If this linked to biometrics like other apps, then I would rate it 5 stars.
You also have to log back in if you haven’t been on CWTSatoToGo for a few hours.

Still reviewing

The awareness of CWTSatoToGo was sent out to my organization last week. Since I have a trip coming up I’ll provide a full review afterwards.
Initial review: Finally a great idea! My DTS itinerary was pulled into CWTSatoToGo . Wanted - ability to: secure login with fingerprint or other means (have to type in a password each time which might be limited by my CIO); add additional itinerary info such as a hotel that I had to do outside of DTS; and electronic boarding passes (I thought this was a feature, but not that I can tell).

It’s good when it works

As stated, it’s good when it works. Biggest issues are as follows:

Password reset, creation, and verification are finicky. They should be explicit with their rules, as passwords that conform to the written word are still rejected. God forbid you actually have to reset your password, in which case you’ll be lucky if it works.

Logging in via mobile shouldn’t require the full password every single time. Please include biometric support, pin, 2FA, or something else that doesn’t require a complicated password on a small mobile device.

Handy to have after all the work

I may be the outlier in this case but my trip through CWT SATO did not pop in CWTSatoToGo . I had to manually input every leg of all my flights and my hotel reservation. Once it’s all in though, the info is very good to have on hand. It does however log you out almost every time, and typing in the complicated DOD style passwords on a phone is not very convenient. If CWTSatoToGo could save your password and enable Touch ID or facial recognition, this would be MUCH MORE useful in an airport, one handed, on-the-go situation.

Very helpful, except frequent auto log out

Overall CWTSatoToGo is great and very helpful. The improvements are very noticeable. The links to the websites are very helpful. The airport maps are useful. The only issue I have with CWTSatoToGo is how frequently it logs you out and then you have to go through the whole process of logging back in. When I need to access stuff quickly it’s annoying and doesn’t help when you have bags in your hands trying to juggle the phone and get logged in again just because you close the screen. A feature to add tickets to your digital wallet would be helpful for checking in.

Overall Pretty Good

It’s great to finally have access to your DTS information on your personal cell phone while traveling. Also, great to have a dynamic itinerary that updates as you are forced to make changes. It’d be very helpful if it kept you logged in for a longer period of time. It’s frustrating that it kicks you out when you switch out of it for a short amount of time.

Step in the right direction

Thank you for making CWTSatoToGo in the first place! It is convenient to be able to access the info on the road. One item that came up while using CWTSatoToGo while traveling was that I didn’t have network access, and CWTSatoToGo completely stopped working. I’d like to suggest to at least keep the last know itinerary items on the local device. Thank you!

A must for frequent DoD travelers!

I just discovered this application on accident and truly regret not finding this sooner! For any regular and even non-regular DoD travelers, CWTSatoToGo is a must-have.

My only complaint is the login process - it logs out in-between uses, and it doesn’t allow stored passwords or facial recognition. This would be a 5-star app if it offered cached passwords or password recognition.

Another feature that I think would be beneficial is if you could link this to the CWT SATO itinerary request process to this application.

Never knew of this app

Idk how I never heard of CWTSatoToGo, from other soldiers or the other times I’ve flown through using SATO. This makes everything so much easier. Especially when on orders. Streamlined and really, the less additional paperwork you have to manage while managing flights and Rut like the better. I’ve rated 4 stars because I haven’t gone throughout the entire app- all uses. for what I’ve needed it’s been great, however an “excellent”/ 5-Star would need more time to “explore CWTSatoToGo ”

Travel coordination

I’ve just started using CWTSatoToGo. So it’s a little early to form an educated opinion on the functionality of it. I do like what I’ve seen for now. I like being able to coordinate the different travel schedules so I know what to expect and where I need to be. I like being able to email my itinerary into CWTSatoToGo and have it added to my schedule automatically. Having this level of planning capability readily available is a valuable thing to have!

Great App

This is awesome. It really is a solid app and one the government didn’t just absolutely tank and make it break your phone.

One thing though - it would be extremely handy if you could check in on CWTSatoToGo , and it would sync automatically to the airliner. Instead of opening a new window and cycling through the website

Seems to have gotten better

Looking at older reviews it seems like things have gotten better. I haven’t had any issues with CWTSatoToGo syncing my travel arrangements, even the ones booked through DTS that I’ve emailed in.
Fingerprint scan would be nice, but not a deal breaker for me considering everything else CWTSatoToGo offers. It does a great job consolidating all of my different reservations for easy access, rather than using three different apps to find reservation information.
