"You can't try to follow trends or capitalize on moments or cash in." That's verbatim what you said in your latest App Store feature interview today. It's very funny you said this I think. You don't follow trends or cash in on moments??! What the heck do you call taking this once premium app that we all paid our hard earned money for in the good faith that we actually bought a, pay once, premium app. And following the disgusting and unethical TREND of shady developers taking their single pay premium apps and turning them into pay forever subscription apps then??! I'd sure call that following a TREND and definitely CASHING IN on all us customers who trusted you 3 guys to uphold your end of the bargain of all of us having bought what we thought was a premium app. I would have never given you a cent if this app started out as a pay indefinitely, subscription app. I just feel ripped off still. If I don't start renting this app that I already paid for once. I'll cease getting new filters and updates. That's just plain extortion and betrayal in my opinion. You couldn't pull this type of shady action in any other type of commerce.

I wish I knew who is responsible for starting the trend of making every single app that’s not even worth a one-time payment of $20 a subscription model and fleecing people for all they can get. It’s ludicrous. This isn’t Adobe Creative Cloud, man. Charge us $10 for the thing and be done with it. $35 a year for software I can’t own just to do some video filters? Extremely hard pass.
It would almost be poetic if every small developer that makes tiny apps like calculators and cameras and todo lists lose their careers and have to work minimum wage jobs at fast food restaurants, then juggle bills and worry about overdraft fees when their stupid video filter subscription hits that month after they lose their job to the plague. It’s getting to where the average person isn’t just paying for internet, they’re also paying for 6-7 different streaming services, cloud services, we even have subscriptions to cars now! Paying for this feels like paying $3 a month for a flashlight app and it’s disgusting.
Deliver me from this idiotic business model.

like many i have been using this app for a while and find this new subscription stuff to be a real downturn. i really like this app would otherwise give it 4-5 stars but i can’t support this new change. being able to save your own work in hd quality should be a free part of the basic functionality of any app and sadly used to be possible with this app without paying a subscription, very lame. this should have at least been a feature that existing users should have been grandfathered into. i would be willing to entertain a one time fee per new feature but simply will never pay a monthly subscription and this will sadly result in me using this app less and less until i just delete it. i really hope that you all reconsider these bad moves or at least do something like grandfather already existing users into this. make saving in hd a core part of the free service as it was previously. add one time fees for unlimited saving of wildcards etc. i would be fine if you charged a subscription for updated and new filters (i wouldn’t probably ever do this but i am sure some would) but it would be better to just constantly create new filters that people could pay one time fees for if they want them without angering your older loyal users. again hope you all reconsider because i really do like this app.
