mobile deposit is a joke- it worked for a bit and now anytime i try to use it i get the error meaaage that there was an error with the remote deposit capture adapter. i’ve uninstalled and re installed numerous times, called customer support and spoken with people at my local branch and still…. nothing. my workplace is small and doesnt offer direct deposit, but i shouldn’t be punished for that or forced to travel towns away to get my pay.

PeoplesBankPEBO fails at least once a week. I have to reinstall every time to get a few more days of functionality and then it crashes again. The old app worked perfectly for me over several years; this version has never worked properly. Calls to the bank’s IT department resulted in the following advice: “Just delete and reinstall.” Typical IT answer! My advice to IT: Fix the #%+& app or go back to old one. (Won’t let me send the review without a nickname and every one I choose is taken.)

Response to developers’ comments/requests: iPhone X; running latest version iOS; not using a VPN. Instability possibly related to face ID log on function. I stopped using face ID log on after posting the original review and have experienced much better app performance. Face ID works well on the other apps with that feature, so I still suspect the glitch lies somewhere in the Peoples Bank app.

This new app is trash. You can’t see where money has been sent to unless you open the whole debit. Push notifications don’t work anymore. I have deleted and reinstalled PeoplesBankPEBO 4 times now. I want to know when money is taken out immediately like the old app in case of fraud. Getting tired of having to reinstall every other day to get my information that an old app had no problems doing. Save yourself some headaches if unhappy customers and bring the old style back.

Update: so now I have to down load an app for my app so I can get notifications when my card is used? This is ridiculous. I’m about to leave this bank. Old app had nothing wrong with it, this one should have never been rolled out unless everything worked correctly. This is peoples money not a Facebook account.

The old app is wonderful, definitely five stars. this new app barely seems to function. Despite having all my alerts turned on and my push notification enabled, I never, and I do mean never, get any notifications when anything transfers to or from my account, nothing when my card gets used, and no cardless cash function without downloading a separate app. Literally all the features that I loved about the last app don’t function. I failed to see how this was a good move for the bank, and I really hope that you get this rectified because I would not like to switch banks but if your online functionality continues in this fashion I will be forced to do so, which is sad because I’ve been with this bank for 10 years.

Website is requiring business accounts to reenter 100% of sensitive personal info to change login name, then dumps them into a zero-prompt login screen with no password reset step. Attempting to reset the password through the standard below-login link locks the web account. Peoples Bank online banking support doesn’t answer the phone.

Meanwhile, downloading PeoplesBankPEBO allows account reset and password change, but check deposit is completely fried: retaking the photo of a check causes the deposit process to fail and restarting PeoplesBankPEBO doesn’t correct the problem.

Calling this online banking rollout a train wreck is probably libel against train wrecks.

I transferred money over from one account to another, the money never sent even with a confirmation number. Then was told we would receive an overdraft fee at each charge that was over balance and that transfers were unavailable on the weekend. Then I tried transferring it 3 more times as they were saying this and finally it went through.

I absolutely hate PeoplesBankPEBO the old one was infinitely better. This is pure garbage and I am going to consider switching my primary accounts to another bank just out of how inconvenient this one is to transfer funds.

PeoplesBankPEBO WILL NOT keep track of your transactions! I stay in a constant hard place because it doesn’t show my newest transactions or will show the incorrect amount in my account and then a day later I’m in the negative because PeoplesBankPEBO showed me the wrong amount before I used my card again. I hate this bank and I can’t wait to switch! Premier Bank wasn’t the best but it was a lot better than this joke of a bank! Wish these big banks would keep their noses where they are and stop taking over and ruining everything for new customers.

Our bank, Limestone Bank merged with people bank and it’s been nothing but a headache. Online banking is a joke as you can’t even see what and where the transactions are. I lost my debit card and had no way to tell if they were fraudulent charges or not. As soon as I can figure the charges out I am closing my account with this bank!

PeoplesBankPEBO is not user friendly. Hard to find things. Very poor design. The old app was spot on very user friendly and gave you more information on who and where your money went too. I feel like they are working against there customers to get more money.

I really miss the old app was so much better…

PeoplesBankPEBO has been misbehaving since it was upgraded. I would enter my details but it would load for long and still not come on. I have had to delete and redownload it more than 5 times.

Whenever you replace a well functioning app with an new app of much lesser quality, it makes you think who made the deal and is getting a kickback? It has been over a year and PeoplesBankPEBO still does not meet a high quality standard. The PB business app is not even mobile friendly! After what seems to be a recent hack with a family members PB account where money just disappeared and after 5 days, they still were making excuses, it seems it is about time to go to another bank. Regarding PeoplesBankPEBO, they have had enough time to fix it at this point.

What happened to the update message when your card was used. When I went shopping and spent money I would get a message. I don’t get it now.

I like the display of the new app but I want back the push notifications as soon as I use my debit card not after my transactions post to my account. Also my push notifications are not working. I also want back the card control function. I do not want to have to download yet another app for that.

Hard to drill down to account numbers.
Grouping my accounts now makes me password every time even in remember me button on.
Face time after grouped accounts no way.
Deleted app and reinstalled. Did not help. That is how I found time to rate it. Glad I can bank online but ….
Too bulky.

Doesn’t send notifications when money is sent/spent. Old app made it very easy to catch fraud. Why is missing that. I hope this is a mistake/oversight. Bc if not I’ll be very unhappy and consider other banks. Notifications are needed. They just don’t work. If you fix it I’ll change my review.

Keeps freezing won’t let me log in I have to keep deleting PeoplesBankPEBO and reinstalling it to get it to work

PeoplesBankPEBO is still a quick way to check your account balance and do transfers (when it’s working) but the old app worked great, PeoplesBankPEBO does not notify me after a purchase and constantly has errors where I can’t access my account or even displays my balance incorrectly. Hey at least they put a banner at the top letting you know that they know it’s not working, hopefully improves over time but had it for almost a year since the “new better app” and I have been pretty disappointed with the quality and accessibility and major flaws.

PeoplesBankPEBO is basically the exact same as before. And now no card controls? For the life of me I can’t find how to lock a card or report stolen/lost.

I do like the new look of PeoplesBankPEBO and website, its refreshing. However, I miss having card controls in PeoplesBankPEBO . Please bring that function back.

I always feel more comfortable whenever I lose or misplace my card and can turn it off until I find it. Always puts my mind at ease because if it ended up stolen, I was more safe. Now I no longer feel this way.

Aesthetically this is so much better. It seems like new features and fixes are constantly coming out, so I will wait and see what else comes this way.

Needs a widget to see account balance from home screen instead of opening app. Also the old app just stopped working with no warning when I needed it and I never saw any notification about this. Good update though.

New app started a few months ago. Much better client interface. Good job.

Old app always crashed on me. This one hasn’t yet. Knowing my luck it’ll crash now. But I hated signing in all the time over and over and restarting the old one.
