Close to being as good as it’s website version

I love the website version of this app, and Freedcamp is almost as good. I really like being able to access and add to my lists from my phone- it has helped me to be so much more organized. There are just 1 or 2 features from the website missing from Freedcamp that I hope they consider adding.
Mainly, I want to be able to reorder my tasks easily in Freedcamp , and have them stay in that order until I change it myself (shifting subtasks is an issue I have in the web version, as well, although the main tasks seem to stay put). I also like the ability to filter by text and save your filter settings in the web version, but mostly, I just want task ordering/staying where I put it to be added. Thanks for a great app!

No full iPad integration?

One of the joys of the iOS environment is full portability between iOS installations. There is ZERO excuse for the iPad app to be windowed in a tiny little box that fits the profile of an iPhone. If this one feature were fixed and available, I’d gladly pay money for Freedcamp and its web site, because the web site is amazing. Freedcamp , though, makes this an untenable solution for my organization’s needs. Very sad “deleter” on this one. :-(

Not really functional! Several features missing

While I absolutely LOVE the web version of this app this mobile app leaves so much to be desired. On the go you expect to be able to do pretty much the same things you can on the web. I can't see discussions, I can't get to anything except tasks. Can't even see the full project board. What is the point. This might as well had been named this app task app so we know that's mainly all you can do. Please create a full fledged app where we can do exactly what this app mobile web (when viewed on browser on phones) allow us to do - basically everything!! It's truly needed.

Poor calendar function, no access to discussions

Freedcamp would easily get 5 stars if more of the functionalities from the website were available.
-missing the ability to add calendar events (not tasks).
-missing a calendar view that combines all projects in one place. Have to click on each project, then the calendar- extremely inefficient when managing multiple projects.
-no app access to discussions which is a major factor in staying connected on the go and adding new notes in a timely manner.
The poor app function almost makes the web-based service useless because there is no mobile benefit. Will any of these features be added?

What I'm Missing

I'm just starting to use this app, and there are some features I'm really missing that are on the website and not on Freedcamp . Really wish discussions could be viewed on Freedcamp and even the files. But most of all the discussions. Also wish there was a list viewing option for the projects on Freedcamp .

Like Freedcamp and site and what I'm going to be able to use it for is great. And your free option is super generous and a great way to start out and invite friends to my projects.

Love it

I am using FREE plan and it’s enough for my small church team project. Although, I am thinking to purchase some plan for more subtasks function.
I love website version more because it’s more detailed. Mobile version is as good as web version. Only sometimes I see some bugs but this app is responding to my request really fast.
Keep it up this app!! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Needs refinement - and serious usability testing

I think Freedcamp has potential, for sure.

They really should conduct a handful of usability tests so the kinks can be ironed out.

We get the email notifications, but in-app, it becomes a guessing game where you should focus your attention. No bell for notifications, clicking the link in email forces you to log in. After you log in, going back to email and clicking again makes you log in again. Even when you log in, it doesn’t take you to the task.

Adding tasks from iPhone is dangerous. Hard to get them under the right project group.

I am not giving up on this technology- I think they will get it together. They need to make Freedcamp more of a priority tho.

Fan from the start

Our organization operates because of the awesome features found in the desktop app. The mobile version could use some of the features found only on the desktop site but it’s working. Thank you!

Limited record options

Trying to use Freedcamp to keep track of repairs and projects for a music school. I can’t keep track of my time I do on each task and there are many redundant links and buttons that take you to the same page you are already on. This is not very well organized and I wish to use something else.

App is not worth having

The website version is great, but Freedcamp is almost entirely useless. You can’t view anything on the calendar, and I dislike the Tasks interface. Hoping they will fix this as the website is great but not being able to use on the phone is a huge disadvantage.

Was happy with app before current bug

I am using this for work and Freedcamp as well as the website have been great. However there is a current bug making my tasks not appear on the mobile app. Hopefully this will be fixed soon because the platform has been just what we were looking for.

Unusable

Terrible app. Crashing 99% of the time. I can’t even open it and click on my task list without it crashing. If I get that far, I can’t ever scroll down because it glitches, scrolls back to the top then crashes.

Absolutely ridiculous and frustrating. Why would you not have a usable app? Makes no sense to me. I would never buy a premium version. Look elsewhere people.

Good for Task management

For starters, I love this app in general and they have really great customer support.

The iOS app specifically is good for task management, but for some reason lacks the Discussions and Files tools. Lack of Discussions is especially odd - not being able to answer threads on mobile is hampering.

But if all you need to do is manage tasks, this works just fine.

I like it

I don’t know why everyone is complaining. It’s a good app does exactly what it needs to do. So many haters. I’ve had no issues.

Very Bad iPad support

As an active subscriber to this app I rely on it to organize projects and tasks. The features on the website are great and I don’t expect to be able to do everything on the iPad, but some very important things need to be fixed.

- Rotation is stuck in portrait mode, and cannot be changed to landscape. As someone using an iPad Pro with keyboard this makes it very hard to use Freedcamp

- Attachments don’t seem to upload consistently to projects in my account

- Someone else that gave Freedcamp a lower rating regarding comments not being possible unless a task already has comments added

I wish it had more functionality

Please consider adding more functions that are available in the desktop version like being able to view passwords, discussions, and add stuff to the calendar.

Cant go wrong

I have tried many different platforms and task management software, and I keep coming back to Freed camp...

Almost Prefect!

So very helpful in keeping me organized and being able to collaborate with others

Good, and getting better...

New version is really nice! Biggest issue I have is that the formatting is weird on the iPhone XS. Weird spacing everywhere, a bar at the top, etc...

A step in the wrong directions

Freedcamp was only kind of useful and with the “update” it’s even worse. It only works vertically and isn’t optimized for larger screens. I’m not sure if the new re-write is opening more doors for a better project but right now it is basically useless as an app. Stick to the website version - its infinitely better.

Really lacking on features

Freedcamp is really lacking on features, compared to the website version. Pretty much the only thing you can do with Freedcamp is tasks. The web-based version of this app is so much more powerful. Freedcamp doesn’t show events, discussions, files, etc. This has potential but just needs more support with the rest of Freedcamp .
