In love with Stitch Fix

I started out using stitch fix because my mom sent me a link and I figured, why not? We could both get $25 off of the next fix. I was not expecting to like it as much as I do now. The first two boxes I received were not quite my style so I changed my stylist and ever since then, I have received nothing but items that I’m completely in love with! I have bought the entire box for the last 4 boxes I think, maybe 5?? Seriously, everything that has been sent to me is amazing. Great style, great colors, the items are high quality and fit really nicely, they’re super comfortable and how could you go wrong with a 25% discount on name brand items?!

A couple things that I would love to see added to StitchFix : A “favorite” button, meaning rather than just like or dislike, I wish there was a button that told my stylist “I want THIS in my next fix.” I only say that because there have been some items that I have “liked” but I liked them much more than some of the other pieces and possibly never see them again. The other thing that I wish there was the ability to do is having the option to buy the style pieces with the next stitch fix rather than buying them separately.

Overall I absolutely love stitch fix and the items that have been sent to me! It’s always an exciting surprise to see what I will get to add to my closet, whether the items are already my style or something to take my style to the next level!

LOVE the Surprises!

Would I buy these items for myself normally? No. That’s why I LOVE the many different varieties that are sent to me. And with the budget I have for that time I get to choose what I like, what looks good on me, keep what I want and just send the rest back with absolutely free shipping. How hard is that!! If your budget only allows you to purchase one item, then that’s all you get. After a few months of having 1 or 2 items you will build up your wardrobe and then put different pieces together that match. And after your with this app for a little while you just might receive a surprise inside one of your boxes from your personal stylist. My surprise? A 3 pack of very soft socks. I love em! You also can leave your personal stylist a message via email telling her or him, if you have any special occasions coming up. That was she will know what to send to you next. Regarding the cost of the items. You do have an area where you can put in how much you are willing to spend. There are times an item on the “cheaper the better” still might be a little costly for you but you just decide whether it looks good on you and would it save you time and gas to find something yourself if you had to go shopping yourself. Finally, I have to say not only do I LOVE getting new clothes their clothes I normally wouldn’t buy so it definitely gives me that chance to explore different avenues. Thanks this app-& Kristen. Wonderful Experience!

I am absolutely in love with Stitch Fix! I am a person who typically is really bad at style and matching outfits. I have never been good at making myself look good. However, Stitch Fix takes the information I give them on how I want to look and sends amazing recommendations.
I am a short guy and have never owned clothes that actually fit me well and make me look good. As soon as I tried on some of the clothes they sent me, I couldn’t stop smiling, I immediately felt confident and good about the way I looked.
I also love the personalization that goes into the fixes. They stylists really read everything you tell them and find things that will suit you for your specific lifestyle, and even take your budget into account. Shoutout to Melanie, my stylist the past couple of months!
Not only was the style on point, but the quality of the items that were sent were better than most items I’ve seen in stores. I’ve always been scared to shop for clothes online, but Stitch Fix makes is so much easier and eliminates the need for a tailor.
I had originally decided to try it out and get a fix every month, but after the way its helped me in my confidence of appearance, I just had to increase to the most frequent option. I have no complaints at all and would highly recommend to ANYONE who is looking to upgrade their wardrobe!

Stitch Fix is great; ten points to Gryffindor!

I just need to get this out there: The people at Stitch Fix are magical.

I love clothes— but by the time I get home from work, I’m dealing with decision fatigue and a serious lack of time. Going to a store to shop during my minimal free time to try and find something flattering for my odd pear shape? Yeah, no thank you. So I tried Trunk Club eleven times, buying that obligatory one item per Trunk before a coworker got me curious about Stitch Fix. Seven fixes in, I’m sold. Not even my best girl friends have gotten me to leave behind my leggings and T-shirts the way the folks at Stitch Fix have. I asked for clothes my 27yr old self can wear studying at coffee shops and taking my dog to breweries and they’ve consistently imagined that wardrobe for me better (and in more colors and patterns) than I ever could have on my own. I’ve always been comfortable with my looks, but now I feel confident— and less tired because I didn’t spend hours perusing racks to find that one shirt that “kinda” works for me.

The only two changes I want from Stitch Fix is the ability to view previous fixes— or at least what we’ve purchased— and larger pictures on StitchFix . I use an app to organize my closet called Stylebook and the pictures from my fixes are almost too tiny to transfer over. The picture sizes also make it hard to see what I’m swiping during that style game some of the time.

Love my fixes

I don’t have time to go shopping and when I do, I usually don’t like anything in stores. I have received 3 fixes now and 2 of them were amazing and I bought everything (if you buy everything, they give you an 25% discount!). My last box altogether cost about $200 after discounts for 5 items which included a super nice jacket, two blouses, a cardigan, and a pair of pants. Your stylist is more than willing to work with your budget and any requests you have. You can also use StitchFix to check out which is nice and easy.
The only reason I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because I wish that for the “style shuffle” there was a way to say what you liked or didn’t like about the item and a rating system rather than a yes/no answer. Kind of like how it is when you’re rating the items you received in your box.
Tips for getting what you want: link a Pinterest style board that has items that you’d love to see in your fix (that’s how I got exactly the jacket I wanted). Give LOTS of feedback- don’t give up if your first fix isn’t the most amazing thing in the world because they’re just getting to know you. After all, they want to send you pieces you’ll want because they make money when you buy items from your fix. (If you stick with it, they will invite you to their Style Pass where instead of paying $20 per fix, you pay $49 up front for 12 month of unlimited fixes)

Fun

I like this service. I love having new items but don’t have a mall close, and dislike shopping for a purpose, eg the pressure of going out on a particular day to find a dress for a particular occasion. So this app helps me keep my wardrobe fresh. And I like that the brands are not the same found in major retailers(?) so unlikely to end up with the same piece as my neighbor or friend. A couple of suggestions: instead of simple thumbs up thumbs down, I would like to add a “love” and a “no way!” button. After several months of rating, I feel the system should know me better and not ask me to rate what seems like totally random items. (Hence my wish for “no way” button). And I wish we had more days to return fix items. It says you’ll have three days but it’s usually two which means one to two evenings, which sometimes one is busy and means a rushed trying on rather than time to do and consider pieces at leisure. And if your two days fall on a weekend then it’s really only one because post office doesn’t pick up on Sunday and if you drop it in a random postal box you don’t know if it may not be registered and processed until the next day. Anyway, overall I do like this so far and enjoying it! I have received some really nice pieces I would t have otherwise encountered or selected!

Love!

A friend of mine was using stitch fix, and suggested I give it a try. I work at a bank, and during Covid 19 was not out shopping… Obviously. I signed up for stitch fix and received my first box. I was very surprised at how accurate the style choices were. I was very detailed in my notes about what I liked and disliked about any item whether it was the fit or the price. My second box came, and I bought the entire box. I also referred a few people and received $25 off immediately. Then received 25% off for purchasing the entire box, and then had my $20 styling fee credited to the total as well. I now have my fiancé and two of my children receiving boxes as well. I find that I am getting obsessed with looking at StitchFix to click dislike and like. LOL
One suggestion I would like, is for the option to put the entire household under one app. From what I can see I can add my youngest child to my profile. However my older kids are sizes and need to put StitchFix on their own phones, same as my fiancé. I would prefer them all on the same app as I am the one paying the bill.
Strongly suggest people try it! You’ll love the options and quality. One other suggestion though, don’t base your opinion on the first box. It takes a couple of boxes for your stylist to get to know you.

LOVE IT

I have absolutely no fashion sense. Clothing has always been stressful for me, ever since I was a kid ($$$). The time spent searching for the right items, the money wasted on items that will “have to do”, even though they don’t fit quite right and aren’t cute.... I always leave stores feeling even less confident than when I first walked in. Then came Stitch Fix.

My biggest concern with Stitch fix was the price of the clothing. I’ve always been a thrift store shopper, spending no more than $16 on an article of clothing (or even better, free hand me downs). But when that first box arrived, I suddenly had cute comfy and versatile clothing items for work! My jaw dropped. No time wasted shopping around, and I have 5 quality clothing items at my front door that actually FIT. YES! I love that you can order extras like socks and bralettes; I love that you can reorder certain items in new colors and patterns; and I love the new tool they’re trying out: “Shop Your Looks”. What it is is they’ll suggest ways to pair items you’ve kept with other articles of clothing (always my struggle!!!). They give you the price upfront and you can order it outside of your regularly scheduled fix. God, I feel so middle class. 😂 So if you have the cash (I budget about $250 per month, but that’s only if I keep all 5 pieces) I would recommend this service in a heartbeat.

Fixin’ for a Fix

The days fly by when you’re busy working hard; don’t you deserve a treat?! Well treat yourself to something lovely with the help of your very own stylist! I absolutely love getting a somewhat unexpected surprise once a month! The frequency is at your fingertips. Customer service is amazing online or with the help of StitchFix you, so you always have everything this app at your fingers. Starting with a quiz, you can personalize your style and needs, then stylist is chosen just for you! Changes to preferences, sizes, and frequency can always be made to your account. If you need to skip a fix, change the date of delivery, or even put your account on hold for travel, all can be accomplished seamlessly with StitchFix . If a problem should arise or you simply have a question or remark (notes to your stylist you couldn’t fit in before your Fix is prepared) an email to this app is all it takes; response time is 24hrs but it never takes that long. StitchFix has been especially helpful for me; both checking in and checking out. With my busy schedule I could not think of an easier way to make updates to my closet. Honestly, I’m recommending this to every single person I meet or know, and those who already participate feel exactly the same. No one remembers life before their Fix lol...why would you? It’s fabulous!

Read the fine print - I LOVE IT!

Most people having a problem did not bother to read any of the fine print. Everything brought up is listed on their website. $20 styling fee each box - yes because each box is styled for you but if you keep your items you get a credit for it. Items are expensive- yes good quality clothes are expensive what did you expect? If you want cheap quality clothes then this is not for you. The items I have received have included some brands that I typically buy at Nordstrom so for me personally I love it because with the styling credit and the discount for keeping everything I end up paying less.
Everything and I really mean everything in my boxes I have loved. It’s like they went into my brain and saw my vision boards. Even down to items I’ve thought about trying but hadn’t. So far everything has fit perfectly which is amazing. I was doing Dia subscription in the past but have lost so much weight I didn’t really fit their size range so decided to try this instead. I am still not very familiar with what sizes I need as I had always been plus size but they have nailed it perfectly. I would pay twice over just for the conveniences offered and the fact that I have yet to receive an item that doesn’t fit or I don’t like.

Looks as great on App as in person

I use StitchFix at least a couple of times a week. this app has changed everything about the way I dress. This company is fabulous. They are run by caring people, not a bunch of computers.
When I asked them to send me button up shirts because of shoulder surgery, they did. They, also, sent me flowers the day I got home from the hospital. My stylist even followed up with a lovely note. There have been other situations like this over the past year of thoughtful little moments from their staff members.
The best part of the company is their ability to figure out what people like to wear and to dress them with what they like and what looks great on them. Each box gets better than the box before. Their clothing quality is terrific. The styles are current but not oddball styles that will be out of style before the tags are removed. This is definitely something that people who need help with choosing clothing should give a try. It has helped me immensely. I have a new confidence that I never thought I would have. I am so glad I started using this service over a year ago. I still use this app and will continue to use going forward. I love their products and the people who work there.
Thank you this app for helping me realize who I can be when I’m dressed for success.

Love, but needs availability for more feedback

Love the clothes they send me. Love that the stylist really listens to the requests.
Wish that in the likes/dislikes that there were more options. Example: never/dislike/maybe/like/want; even if it was never/maybe/want would be better. It is sometimes hard to see the item to rate, would be nice to rotate it so you could see from all sides. Like that you can pinch to zoom in. I know that they just want first reactions, but sometimes I like something from the front and it is nothing I would wear from the back. Also hard to tell what type of material it might be. Would be nice for first reaction to say what you like about it, like pattern or cut. Same for dislikes. The inspiration boards don’t give much room for giving feedback on the items you like. I am left to just using emojis ♥️👍🏼👎🏼😍 for each item in the block. Other than that, I really do love my items I have received so far. I have been using a little over a year and get boxes every other month. I feel like my stylist gets me. She really has elevated my style, which is why I started doing this. Try it out, at least get two boxes before canceling or switching stylists remember you’re making a connection with someone you’ve never met. The more info/feedback you give the better.

Overall happy

This summer I will be at the year mark of using the service. I’ve had a great experience but it’s definitely been up and down. Some boxes I have LOVED and others I’ve gotten 1-2 things, I think that’s pretty normal. The one disappointing thing that happened was that I got into a groove with a stylist and then I paused my orders for 2 months to take a break and I came back and the stylist was switched and I have been trying to get the same satisfaction ever since. The pieces are great quality, the packaging is always well done, the jeans are super soft, and the tops are well made. They pay attention to your Pinterest, some stylists more than others. One suggestion I have is allowing the participants to write more in their fix note, it’s frustrating sometimes when you have to fit one sentence in and then have to erase stuff lol. Also, I’ve noticed in the thumbs up and down feature (which I love) the items I’ve liked have never once wound up in a fix. Overall I’m happy with the experience and I was very hesitant to try a clothing service such as this one. Return service is free and I’ve never had an issue once with funds etc. A great add on to StitchFix would be a chat feature where maybe your stylist could ask questions?

App and Sales

I love Stitch Fix but there are so many things I wish I could change about StitchFix and shopping experience. One, I spend so much time going through and rating all of the clothes each day, but my daily looks stay the same. They never change to reflect all of my ratings. I see so many cute clothes on the ratings that pop up consistently for consecutive days and they never appear in my daily looks. If they did I would buy them, so this is a flaw in StitchFix because it is hurting the customer and your business. I would like to see a way to correct this or find a way for me to click on the item from the ratings page so if I really love the item I can purchase because so many times I am so upset a really great item just disappears for me to never see again. Two, I find an item I love and bookmark it and then maybe even purchase it and on the style card I find an item that goes with it that I equally love to pair it with but there is no way to find that item at all. Many time if I find an item through a search of categories it will only show me that item and similar item of that item and its style card not the items link to the style card, so again I am left wanting to find these great items to pair it with and instead finding myself at the local mall instead of Stitch Fix. If you made the style card to each item linkable or clickable as well you would probably get more sales from each item.

Exceeded my expectations

My first order was to support a friend. However, I just LOVED my clothes. I had a bit of sticker shock BUT ...I guess I never knew what quality clothing looked like, fitted like and held up like. After my second box I changed to getting a box every month because quite frankly the clothes looked and fitted WAY better than anything I’ve ever had.i cleaned out my closet to make room for the incoming. I always sneak peek at what is being sent to me...and I’m like no way on some items. Then I get the box and try them on and I’m in love. Exchanges are super easy. I returned 3 items one time and they said I only returned two...but they believed me...I was truly being honest...and they took my word. That I was grateful for as it would have been a deal breaker because I know I returned everything I said I did. Def take advantage of doing the daily picks, Pinterest pictures of your style and letters to your stylist. They can’t nail what you like if you don’t communicate. I love that I get a deal with no styling fee...yeah! I can order more often now! I also like the 20% off if you buy all five. It’s like getting one garment for free and you can gift one you are not a fan of. If you don’t connect with your stylists it’s easy to change. I’m loving everything I have

Great for Petites

Have used Stitch Fix for over 5 years and was going through Style Profile and realized most of my favorite closet items were delivered by Stitch Fix. I always get compliments on the items. The work of shopping for the ‘non average body’ is cut out — which for us petites can require scouring sale racks or the juniors department for things that fit and are also age-appropriate — and the items are delivered to try on in the comfort of your own home. You can set a price point. You can change your stylist. You can exchange. The only thing that I wish was different is you are paying full price for items unless you keep entire fix which they take 25% off. There have been a couple times where I liked 4/5 items and the 5th just sits in my closet, so I wish they’d have something where you can return one item — for instance the last fix I received a really cute shirt but was allergic to the zipper, but it was cheaper to keep all 5 items than return 1 shirt. Have not reached out to customer service, they are really good though any time I’ve needed to contact! :-)
I recommend trying their service at least once, you’re bound to receive at least one item you love!

New User

I have just started using Stitch Fix and I love the concept so much! It’s super exciting to wait on unknown clothes in the mail. It’s fun to eagerly await what will be inside and then to try everything on and analyze what you do and don’t like. This first fix had me pretty impressed overall. It wasn’t perfect, but overall all of the items fit pretty well and the patterns and colors were largely in line with my taste. The prices were more expensive than I thought they would be, especially considering that I put most of my items settings on “The Cheaper, the Better” setting. However, I understand that this was my first fix and that it’ll take a little trial and error to figure me out perfectly. I really am super excited for my next fix though!
As for StitchFix itself, StitchFix runs very smoothly and is easy to maneuver. My only recommendations would be the same as a few other people already mentioned. It would be nice to be able to zoom in on the photos in the like/dislike section of StitchFix . Also, it would be nice to be able to choose the number of items one is wanting to receive. Some people might only want two items while someone else might want ten or fifteen. It would be nice to choose.

Gave it another shot but disappointed

I tried Stitch Fix a few years ago but switched to Trunk Club because it felt more personalized (I had friends that were getting the same items as me with Stitch Fix, which I found strange as it was so “personalized”), and they provided me with more options. I decided to give it a go again-there has definitely been some improvement (now you are provided with an actual stylist that has a name, you can preview your box and make changes), so I have given it 3 stars for that reason. That being said, I thought there were more options in my preview than what I actually received. I had also selected things in my preview that I wanted to be sent, and they either weren’t sent, or were sent in a different color. This was very disappointing-kind of defeats the purpose of having a preview. Especially as I had no idea until my box arrived-they didn’t mention it, it’s like they just hope you won’t notice. There also wasn’t enough space for this feedback (limited characters) when I processed my order, or else this feedback would have gone to them (I hate posting public reviews) instead of being posted as a review on StitchFix . I really wanted to love it this time around but am disappointed to have to say that I didn’t 😔

Love!

Stitch fix is by far the best styling service and StitchFix is really user friendly and fun too! They recently added a rating system to ‘like’ or ‘dislike’ items which makes StitchFix more interactive and also helps to give you more personalized boxes. It’s also just fun to see the different items you could potentially get in your box! Customer service is very responsive and kind, when you reach out you know you are talking to a real person and not just receiving canned responses. They listen, communicate and do a great job at styling too! It is also affordable, you can choose how much you want to spend and they do a great job at following those guidelines. They don’t just throw in pieces that are out of your price range that you will love but then be sorely disappointed that you can’t purchase them. If you are new to stitch fix my best advice is to communicate, the more you tell your stylist and the more information you provide in your profile the better your boxes will be! Just remember, they are real people and they do listen! They make “shopping” easy and fun with good quality clothing, accurate sizing, and styles that leave you feeling confident, not defeated, after trying on your fix!

Not Exchangeable!!

I have received several fixes for me and for my son. I like most things I have gotten so far, but these are the problems I have with Stitch Fix...My son has received items that I have specifically said my son would not like, but they send anyway. He even got girls shoes on one delivery. Since you can’t exchange items, you don’t keep everything you lose the discount. So I end up keeping items every shipment because it’s cheaper. The last delivery I received for him had a shirt that was smaller than what is in his profile and shoes that ran very small. They stated they were his size but he couldn’t even get his foot in them. He liked them so I was going to exchange for a different size so I didn’t lose the discount but there were no other sizes available for exchange...so I’m stuck once again with items I didn’t order. I believe they give you some items knowing they don’t fit but do it to as filler because it happened before and i thought it was just a mistake by sending a larger size. But if my 12 year old is listed as a kids size large (10-12), he should not be getting size 9 shirts, or XL shirts. If it was just once and a while I could overlook but I’ve been stuck with too many clothes that aren’t going to be worn and it’s just too much of a hassle. It’s a great concept, but there should be exceptions if there’s no size exchanges available.

Can't get enough!

I love love love stitch fix! They do an awesome job and everything my stylist has picked out for me I have absolutely adored! The styling cards that come in each fix really are great because it gives you a little cheat sheet for each item and how you can mix each one in with other things that are not necessarily in that particular fix. They really want to get a sense for you and your needs/wants. How adventurous you want to get in comparison to current style/comfort zone. Etc. It feels very personalized and they really listen to your notes on each fix as well...concerning what you have in mind for special occasions you might have coming up or a specific sort of item in particular you're hoping for...like a nice vest or leather oxfords or just some nice but comfortable date night jeans. The stylist also really does a great job pairing things imaginatively and creating outfits that you never would've on your own. Just an all around awesome service, and I couldn't be happier! Also, their app is new to me and it is pretty great! Makes everything super easy and much more streamlined than when it was just through the website. Not that their website isn't also fantastic, it's just that apps are where it's at nowadays really lol
P.S. I can't get enough of what I'm calling "clothes tinder" on their app... Just saying, it's kinda addicting for some strange reason lol

Just what I needed!

So far I have received two ‘fixes’ (personalized package). The first one was good, but not 100%, and I ended up just keeping the whole thing. I provided feedback and came to find that my second fix what’s exactly what I wanted. I really appreciate that they value their customers’ feedback and try to work around their styles to best meet their needs. I love that we can choose a schedule for our fixes and are only charged the monthly subscription fee on the months we schedule our fixes AND that the fee is then applied to our purchase should we keep whatever items we like. This has definitely saved me time and effort trying to buy clothes on my own AND with random impulse purchases I don’t need, knowing that I’ll be receiving a fix. The process is fairly simple and they provide you with what you need should you decide to return some or all of the items in the scheduled fix. They’re also generously flexible with their due dates for returns and payments should you need an extension. I’ve had a great experience with their customer service and have received fast responses within 24 hours, if not sooner. Definitely recommend StitchFix!

I really like Stitchfix

It’s great, nice clothes, interesting selections. I’ve kept all items in my fixes and only 2 of 5 in some. I just wish my stylists would read back to ALL my critiques and comments about what I like and don’t like. I haven’t repeated everything I’ve said in prior updates of my style, but nothing has changed in those past comments. I just add to these expecting them to go back to all I’ve said! Not sure they do that. I’d like to know if I have to repeat these likes & dislikes each time I have a new fix coming up. I’m getting monthly fixes right now since we changed seasons.
But I feel the quality of the clothes is really good. They just haven’t “hit the nail on the head” yet!! I’m not giving up yet but I’ve been with them since Oct?, maybe Sept of ‘17.
Come on gals, I’m a young 64yo. But my body has changed; I’m not at my ideal weight and probably never will be.😩 I still like to wear trending clothes on the slightly conservative side (because of my body size & shape). I love shoes and purses, like the ones I’ve been sent; and I want pieces that are meant to be worn together (at least 2 of the 5)!
I love the way that with each fix, that they do send pics of the pieces sent with other ways to wear them tho. That helps me a lot.

Great, but I feel tricked.

I’ll start by saying that everything about StitchFix is phenomenal. It’s smooth, it’s easy, and the clothes they send you are spot on. It was fantastic, but I’m giving them a three star rating because I believe they intentionally sent me one item that was obviously not my style.

So as you’re setting up your size and style, they show you hundreds of different articles of clothing and ask if you’d wear it. This is how they determine what you’d like and wouldn’t like. They sent five pieces, and wow we’re the four of them spot on. Absolutely a perfect fit and the style couldn’t have aligned better with what I was looking for. Then, the fifth piece was this weird looking lumberjack long sleeve shirt which I have no idea how or why they’d determine from the hundreds or shirts that I said “no, I don’t Like this look”, that this would fit my style. It wasn’t even remotely close to the other pieces of clothing they sent me. Then I realized- they sent it intentionally, knowing it wasn’t my style. Why would they do that, right? Because if you buy all 5 pieces of clothing they send you, you get a 25% discount. They sent that last piece knowing it wasn’t my style and that I wouldn’t buy it, saving themselves from having to lose a 25% profit.

For this reason, I give stitch fix 3 stars.

Awesome service for someone who has no style

I dont mean that title to be rude, I’m absolutely serious when I say I really have a hard time styling myself for work (business casual). For going out with friends/dates or casual events, I’m pretty good at it. I was hesitant to subscribe because of the price but a friend of mine loves it so I decided to give it a try. My first box was AMAZING. I definitely thought I was only going to keep one or two things. No. I kept the whole darn box bc I just couldn’t part with any of it. I literally would have never picked those outfits out for myself and I was just so in love with the personalized picks. Everything fit perfectly and the style guide is awesome to hang on to for reference. I would only warn that another friend of mine put “the cheaper the better” for all her options and her box was over $200, but mine was just under. I told her to ask for a different stylist and to mention in the notes to keep the prices lower next time(which I’m glad Stitch Fix allows for so much feedback). I might not keep this box forever, but certainly for 6-12 months until I get a good collection of outfits made!
