Great app usually, but glitchy
I use this app regularly. With a busy job and five small kids, it’s like my only form of window shopping and my actual only way to shop for my own clothes with some dignity. That said, every time they run a good sale, which is semi-frequently, the app freezes and you get multiple “Oops, something’s wrong” pop ups. I wouldn’t care if this was just sporadic like on Black Friday when they usually run 50% off the store, but it’s becoming much more frequent of a thing. Also, this is recent, but all the new arrivals and everything you browse using a filtered search works until you click on something. Once on the product page, the back button disappears from the top of the page and you have to start all over by clicking Home again. This is the first and only thing that’s encouraged me to get rid of the app altogether. I love their clothes and the app is generally user friendly, but it’s frustrating when you’re just looking at varieties of size 6 black jeans and have to reload the search constantly.
Love this app
Express is truly my favorite clothing store. All my clothes are from express, literally from head to toe every day my outfit legit is from express. My wardrobe has increased with express items since I downloaded the app a couple years back. The app is fantastic if you're tall like me. I'm 6ft tall and weigh 130lbs. When I go the stores they don't have long sizes in stock unless someone returned (or at least where I live Which is Sacramento and am central to three express stores nearby). The app has great sales especially Sundays between 3pm-9pm. All their clearance items I've seen marked between 40%~70% off on top of already clearances priced items. I've purchased jeans, shoes and work attire as little as $15 when regular price was $79~$89. Love it. This updated app is not working properly
I have the app and have had it for over a year. I always update when required, but the last update has a serious glitch and it just doesn’t work properly. I will add items to my cart, but when I do it says the item is no longer available and the not add. I log off and log back in and the item is in my cart. Now this new update led version is currently not working properly. It is updated and when it looks as if it’s about to log in, a pop up box comes up and says this app is so last season and to update new version in App Store...well the issue here is that it is updated and still not working properly. I reset my phone a few times and still the same thing. This is so inconvenient for me because now I have to physically go to the express web and log in that way...I order at least 3-4 times a month and now I’m trying to order some items through the app, but don’t want to now because the app is easier for me. Call me lazy, but my life style and daily activities makes life easier for me to use the app. Express if your listening please fix this because your loosing sales. Thanks
Obsessed with Express, but not the app
I’m obsessed with Express clothing; it’s about the only place I shop. I’m a frequent shopper and make most of my purchases online but I’m not so obsessed with their app. Majority of the time I do use the app to shop because of the perks and special “in-app” discounts offered, and I do like the layout of the app as it is easy to navigate... but it doesn’t exactly work the best. The app is almost guaranteed to freeze up or close itself out after being logged in and browsing for a decent length of time. It’s also notorious for doing the same thing while scrolling thru a section that contains a lot of items listed. When I log in to shop I like to browse thru nearly everything, look at product pictures/details/reviews, etc., and often times it’s hard to get logged back in or get the app to properly load back up after one of these glitches occur. So yes, it’s very frustrating. There’s been many times I’ve gotten so fed up that I just decided to forget buying anything at all, regardless how badly I wanted it. If it wasn’t for the internal problems I would definitely give this app 5 stars. One last thing, I would like to recommend they add a “likes/my favorites” option. It would be nice to be able to have a list of items I find that I really like but aren’t ready to buy yet. With the size of their inventory trying to scroll back thru to find one particular thing can be a real headache.
Easy app to spend a lonely Christmas on
This app was fun and in writing this I hope I get an online discount. But since I have your attention. Did you ever hear the tragedy of Darth Plagueis "the wise"? I thought not. It's not a story the Jedi would tell you. It's a Sith legend. Darth Plagueis was a Dark Lord of the Sith, so powerful and so wise he could use the Force to influence the midichlorians to create life... He had such a knowledge of the dark side that he could even keep the ones he cared about from dying. The dark side of the Force is a pathway to many abilities some consider to be unnatural. He became so powerful... the only thing he was afraid of was losing his power, which eventually, of course, he did. Unfortunately, he taught his apprentice everything he knew, then his apprentice killed him in his sleep. It's ironic he could save others from death, but not himself.
Express lover and loyal shopper but major app issues & low customer service
Love express and shop in store and online frequently however the last several app experiences have been very poor. I browse or shop the app multiple times a month and the app has either consistently froze, shutdown completely, cleared items from my cart, and/or will not allow you to view details of a product. Additionally, the filters aren’t always effective but the former issues are the most frustrating. After several frustrating app shopping trips I reached out to customer service because my point rewards were not showing up at checkout. The customer service department did not get back to me until well over a week or two later. I am not one to post a negative user experience to simply vent or complain, as many do and to each their own, however as a loyal shopper I am very disappointed in my last several shopping experience and I would hate to delete the app over what should be simple fixes.
In love with express
For years I struggled to find jeans or clothes for that matter, that fit my shape, I’m between a size 2 and 4 at express, but for some reason when I shopped at other stores the clothes would fit right in the fitting room but become loose after a few wears, after purchasing, and just not fit right. I knew about express but stayed away because it can be a little expensive to shop here. One day I said why not, and let me say it’s sooooo worth the money, it’s been a year and a half and I have not shopped anywhere else. The material on their clothing is amazing, and it keeps its shape even after many washes and wears. Express is now my all time favorite store , and my go to when in need of an outfit or even shoes.❤️❤️❤️❤️ Thank you express!!!!!!!!!
This app is terrible! Does not at all reflect apple pay, and I don't know how apple let these app developers put this app on the app store if they cannot implement apple pay correctly. I put things in my cart, selected apple pay, and picked my address, and shipping method as overnight, and put my fingerprint to pay and it precessed. However, my product has not yet arrived and I talked to ups supervisor and they told me it was surepost and that express did not process it successfully. To the point where I talked to supervisor for express and then she transfered me to express customer relations to which his name was Xavier and he did not help at all telling me that it was my fault. And that I did not select overnight and I even asked him can you see anywhere that I picked overnight and he said no, so even tho I picked overnight in apple pay process why had it not went through? This app needs alot of work and I get no compensation for your terrible customer service and how your corporate customer relations worker treats customers especially with lack of evidence.
Fashion is my PASSION & EXPRESS gets it!
I’ve loved Express from the moment I discovered their store. My whole closet is full of Express clothing and accessories. They are fashionable, comfortable, and affordable. They are for the every day gal or the working woman who wants to make a statement in style and her job. These clothes give me a sense of confidence I never had. When you feel great on the outside then I believe your inner beauty shines even more. Express does a wonderful job with this. Their customer service is fabulous! Everything about Express is top notch. At least in my experience. Their clothes fit perfectly and are made with amazing fabrics. So, way to go Express! You’ll have this customer for life!
Add a wishlist feature
I really enjoy the app because it keeps me up to date on sales and how long they will last. I find it more convenient in looking through items. I do wish that a “wishlist” feature was available because there are some items that are new and full-price that I would like to “watch” to see when they go on sale. Currently, I add them to my cart and then have to delete when I’m going to buy a few items only. I also wish that other items styled with a top or pant would show up below. For example, if I’m looking at a top but I like the pants in the picture I don’t want to have to look for the pants separately. I would like for the other items pictured and styled with the top to appear in the “And these” section. Thank you.
So much missing
Update: this app has become so glitchy that I can’t even use it. It’s been this way for months which is so annoying because they’re literally losing so much money. I know multiple people that have said the main way the use to shop was through the app and now they won’t. So sad that this isn’t more of a priority to Express. I LOVE Express and I order online regularly. Unfortunately this app is not up to par with other shopping apps on the market. I never review but I felt like I needed too. I hope the developer see this. What this app is missing is a way to favorite and save items you love, descriptions of the items on the item page, a way to view recent orders with a breakdown of the items you bought. Those are just a few of the necessities I’m missing from that app. I’m sure the more I use it the more I’ll find missing. Here’s to hoping for a good update soon!
Trying to create an account for two years.
For two years I’ve been trying to create an account with this app and I have not been able to do so. I tried through the social login, through email and this issue still has not been resolved. I tried removing the app and it’s contents, restarting the phone and reinstalling it to no avail. I’ve tried different browsers to no avail. I get the same error message on the app and the browsers. An associate at store 2061 created an ExpressNext account for me in store but I cannot log in online nor make an account. I even emailed Express’ customer service department and even they were unhelpful in rectifying my issue or forwarding me to someone that could. I’ll give Express til the end of the year but that’s it. I’m ready to wash my hands from Express. They have really great stuff but if your app isn’t useful to me, it makes no sense to shop with you. I’ll find another company that can and that will.
Do not shop here
Don’t let all the positive reviews fool you. I’m sure they were made by review boys (check the time stamps), because my experience with the Express app, website and customer service has been consistently AWFUL. Forget trying to order from the app. It’ll crash when you try to use one of their bogus promo codes. Plus, If you pay extra for two-day shipping, you will NEVER get it in two days. They change the initial shipment date multiple times. Customer service is NO HELP. Like I said, promo codes never work. I have had to contact customer service numerous times because the promo codes won't work on my orders and they have to apply the codes to my order AFTER the order is placed. Which means the funds are frozen for five days before they’re released them back into my account. Their customers service reps are totally unapologetic and inept, each giving different information. I'm done with Express."
App used to be great
I loved the app and used it to shopped all the time up until July 2018 then all of sudden in a middle of a purchase I got a message saying app was under construction and will be up and running shortly. Since then I have not been able to see point history, add anything to the cart, see my rewards, etc. It’s just been horrible! I’ve contacted support several times but always get the same answer about going online to place an order instead! The thing is I’m on A-List, when you shop online even though you’re supposed to get free shipping being an A-list they still charge you $8 anyway for standard shipping if you don’t meet the minimum purchase amount to get free shipping! The weird part is when my husband logs into his Express account from my phone app he has no problem what so ever.
Won’t Be Using Again
I shop at Express very often and thought it may be easier, and more “fun,” to use the app vs. my computer. I was wrong! I had the items I wanted in my cart and went to look at another item on the app; however, when I went back to my cart it said it was empty. I went ahead and re-added my items and proceeded to check out. My total was listed, but as soon as I hit ‘place order,’ I had been charged double the listed amount and my order showed I had bought 2 of each item!! That was so annoying and frustrating because if my cart was empty then that means there were ZERO items in there, not items seemingly “hidden” until check out. Even worse, I e-mailed about the issue and they didn’t respond until after my items had been shipped. Moving forward, I will just continue using my computer to place orders.
