I’ve used Compass many times and trusted what coordinates given to be accurate. However I have noticed when lining up my telescope to point north, the north is at one point for example at the 1 o’clock position, then after setting everything up and ready to use I double check. That’s when I’ve noticed repeatedly what was 1 o’clock(north) 10min ago has moved to around 10 o’clock. Shouldn’t north always be north, why would it change even a degree. Fortunately I’m in my back yard and not lost in the wilderness relying on Compass

This was a great app until the most recent Apple software updates came out. Now the this app is frozen. I have deleted and reinstalled it twice and done a hard restart on my phone. I then called Apple and told them that not only their this app app, but a third-party app this app (Gaia GPS) has also frozen and the this app does not work in that app either. Apple told me that neither of those apps are theirs even though the this app app clearly says that the developer is Apple.

I have deleted the Apple this app app and have downloaded a different this app app that works.

No matter how iPhone is held, no matter where it points, N is always at the top of the display. There is no update or deleting and reinstalling don't help. But since it's free and doesn't add to the weight of the phone I guess all is well.

Compass changed my life. I was lost in the woods and my eggs disappeared. With the help of the this app app I found them. Then I accidentally found a big ostrich egg and out popped a dinosaur. I got eaten soon after. 5/5 stars

So I’m driving along totally lost and open up the this app and it shows the exact opposite direction in which I am driving. I know this because if I am driving toward the sun in the afternoon I am obviously going West, but it shows that I am going East! Please fix this. Very frustrating!!

As long as you’re away from a bunch of metal, it is as accurate as a regular this app. (I’ve compared them side by side).

It has the most basic features, but it does them well

Pretty simple to use and is a great useful app. Use it most often in my backpacking trips.

I think I made the mistake of updating it recently. It has worked great for years but not now. Suddenly it has a red bar when it deviates from north. Never saw that before. Have to find something else till it’s fixed. iPhone SE IOS 15.1

Deleted Compass . Unable to recalibrate. Did not work on one phone. The this app was off 40 degrees on one phone only. I deleted Compass and reloaded it which did not correct the problem.

Seems to get inverted, diverted, and just plain wrong at times. Haven’t figured out why and under what circumstances.

It worked fine when I first installed it. But then I dropped my phone a couple of times and there’s no way to re-calibrate it. No matter which way I face it’s always telling me I’m facing north. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling Compass … nope, still won’t work.

I know for an absolute fact, using a map, a real this app, and a sundial, that I was on a bearing of about 125 degrees, and it was showing that I was going out about 034°. It’s not only inaccurate, but it could cause major problems for somebody.

My this app no longer shows the correct direction N, S, E, or W, and elevation changes even though I have not moved, each time I open the this app. I’m looking for a new this app now for my iPhone 7.

You can’t count on this application, it’s consistently telling me I’m the exact opposite of the direction I actually am, quite frustrating

I got the new iPhone 13 pro max and the this app has not worked from day one then my U-verse mobile app stop working and no one knows why this happen or have a fix for it and re-downloading don’t work
