Not as helpful for beginner investors as I’d like. Example, understanding terminology and the differences between such things as series or types of stock are not clear. I spend more time conducting outside research. Also don’t like that if I purchase multiple stocks in a day, I am charged each time. That’s discouraging. Would also like ease of visual display of my portfolio. The number of shares I own should be readily visible. Seems as though my purchases are in vein. I feel like the more I buy, the more I lose and no hints are are there to help have a successful portfolio. I know stock investment is risky. I feel my risk is always on the downward trend. The stock stock ads are also annoying and misleading

I had to transfer my account because CapOne was discontinuing brokerage services. this app was their choice and so I did it ahead of the mandatory time. - am supposed to get a bonus. Well, when sending messages, I’ve typed in a long explanation of what’s going on and then it wipes out my message because the “service is temporarily unavailable”. Then, Customer Service people aren’t always as knowledgeable as I am about 72(t) rules. And I cannot select “early with exception” for a web/electronic withdrawal- have to do paperwork. Messy. App so-so, CS so-so, functionality so-so. I’m not sure how long I want to keep doing business with these guys.

Maybe I can’t figure out where it is but it would be nice to view your different holdings together along an axis to show how they have performed individually and as a portfolio (as you might see in a 401k snapshot). Otherwise great app. Update: Thanks for the tip on the Optionhouse app, I checked it out and it has some of the functionality I’m looking for. If you are considering whether to embed that in the E-Trade app, I would vote yes. Second update: I like the portfolio view introduced, very clear and helpful, changing to 5 stars

I use Ameritrade and this app for stocks and options activity. The Ameritrade app is much easier and faster for making trades (too fast at times if you know what I mean). The this app app allows the generation of charts for options which is probably the most important feature for me. The actual ability to make a trade can be cumbersome and yes the slowness of the process has cost me money (and saved me money too so it’s a wash). The app does a good job for what it does. I wasn’t looking for perfection just a good app for trading. This app does that. If you try to change the program to fix some short comings you may destroy something else (like options charting) then I’m the one complaining instead of the other guy.

I love the ease of the app. Real time quotes and the ability to set alerts are very helpful. I’m able to set an alert and put my device down with no worries of missing the next big trade! Two suggestions however. I’m unable to do extended hours trading in the app. I have to log off my phone and go online to execute it every time. This wastes valuable time. As any trader knows seconds can cost hundreds of dollars. The same goes for finding my day trading balance. I have to log off my tablet and go to the website just to see it and log off. Having the ability to do these things in app would be very helpful. Otherwise great job to the development team and keep up the good work!
