Spectrum Bay News 9 Reviews

I have been frustrated with SpectrumBayNews9 almost from the day I installed it. Not only is it “buggy” no matter how many times they update it to fix bugs but this latest update has made the display more friendly for “newer” iPhones. In the process it has made text and icons smaller and I can no longer find a way to make the text bold as in older versions. For someone with any vision issues this can be a problem. I do not consider my iPhone “old” and the display is not small (I have an 8 Plus) yet their support for only “newer” phones has a very negative impact on this user’s experience. I should not have to carry the latest and greatest most expensive phone to be able to comfortably use SpectrumBayNews9. Using this for traffic will now be virtually impossible for me and since most other parts of SpectrumBayNews9 were already useless this has become just a waste of storage on my “older” phone. Thanks again for your lack of customer service Spectrum.

SpectrumBayNews9 is basically the same as opening bay news 9 in the internet browser. Not much of an “app feel” to it. The weather radar is different from their website which begs the question which one is more accurate? Also you can’t use SpectrumBayNews9 as a widget so you can’t easily glance over and get local information. The general weather widget for iPhone is easier at a quick glance for weather info plus opening it for more detailed information about the current weather you your area. If you want to load the bay news 9 website slightly quicker then sure SpectrumBayNews9 is great, but for it being an “app” I’d say it’s not worth it.

SpectrumBayNews9 has many great features!! Lately however the radar feature has become unusable. Upon opening the weather feature everything appears normal. As soon as I press the animate arrow the current radar disappears. I’ve tried deleting/reinstalling SpectrumBayNews9 to no avail. Hopefully this bug will be fixed. In the meantime I’ve gone back to WeatherBug for the radar. I hope this problem gets solved soon.

Well I think there is no use to tell one more time that SpectrumBayNews9 is useful. But in addition it helps not only to know all local news, but also to read about sport and entertainment news, look through weather forecast of my area etc. I like it.

I travel pretty often and being aware of the weather is usually very critical for me as I can change the destination pretty quickly. And the application gives me the opportunity to choose the best place to go.

I've had no problems with SpectrumBayNews9. I especially like the weather map feature which is partially transparent which has been good for seeing where the hurricane is, the weather bands, etc.
Easy to use and quick.

SpectrumBayNews9 used to be great for a quick check of the weather forecast and current radar. I don’t know what changed but lately when I click on the play button to animate the radar it just shows a blank map. All the rain disappears and doesn’t come back until it’s done and switches back to the stationary radar at the current time. Please fix it!

For the amount of information SpectrumBayNews9 presents It's very user-friendly. Everything located extremely conveniently. I've started usining it for the las couple of weeks and I'm definitely not switching back. A strong 5/5 for me.

Firstly I thought SpectrumBayNews9 is only for news and downloaded it for this purpose but it has also few features in addition! I always check weather here and it is really comfortable to use.

I like SpectrumBayNews9, but when you hit the play button on the map, the play bar progresses but no weather appears. It’s been broken for a while, on my iPhone and iPad.

For those living in Tampa Bay area it's like a miracle: local headlines, forecasts, local sports and entertainments. And all this just in one app. Very handy. I use SpectrumBayNews9 to know just everything about my area. Great!
