Looks good but...

There are some nice features. I like the templates and the fact that you can modify them to suit your needs. What I don't like is the fact that they don't tell you when you download PasswordManager that you'll be limited as to how many entries you can save.
I enter data for six passwords and on the seventh I got the upgrade to pro message. If you don't upgrade you can save another entry. They did give me the choice of writing a review and getting more free storage and I'm not sure what that means. Does it mean I can enter more data i.e. more entries or is it cloud storage that I don't even use. Had I known they were going to rope me in to try it out and then hit me with the upgrade to pro or you're dead in the water I probably wouldn’t have downloaded it.
That being said I use it regularly and it performs very well. I’m sure there’s plenty of features I don’t use. What I do use are logins and some folders. I don’t have any problem with the way they work. I also use the back up to Wi-Fi and that works fine as far as giving me a back up file. Unfortunately testing the restore functionality it’s just not something you do unless you have some parallel phone. You just don’t blow away something that works just to see if restore works because what if it doesn’t?
I also don’t like the fact that it keeps asking me to rate PasswordManager and I have rated it numerous times and it still keeps asking me to rate PasswordManager what the hell is up with that.
That cost you a star.

Very upsetting

So while I think PasswordManager is a really good app. What is upsetting is that I have to give them a rating because if I don’t the rating box keeps showing up every time I open PasswordManager . I rated them at a 4 because of that. Then since I didn’t give them a 5 star, a new box pops up saying please rate us at a 5 and it doesn’t go away until you do that. I feel that if I hit the no button to rate an app it should not show back up. Then if I have rated them it should be ok if it’s not a 5, because if you were truly concerned on why you didn’t get a 5 you would contact the person. All the other apps I have don’t continually have there rate box show up every time you open it. That is what makes PasswordManager annoying.

If you upgrade to the XR PasswordManager completely crashes and you can’t use it. Please fix this because after iPhone 8 or newer it shuts/crashes once you tap on PasswordManager ...

Your update from 22 hrs ago has done nothing it is still failing to open. It crashes every time you try to open it. I also wish there was a way to contact the developer other than what appears to be a shady Facebook page with nothing about PasswordManager on it

Disaster

I’ve had the paid version of PasswordManager for years. Bought new iPhone XS, backed-up passwords, and app loaded to new phone and everything was fine at the store. Got home and PasswordManager wouldn’t open. Deleted and went to PasswordManager Store and my version iPassword app was gone and they wanted me to paid for another version. I downloaded the free version to see if I could get PasswordManager to work without deleting all my passwords. Luckily I had a version on my iPad. The new free version couldn’t see my iCloud backup file so I downloaded a backup file to my iTunes in my computer. The free version was able to see my backup file on iTunes. I went to my wife’s purchases and found that we bought the pro version for her some years back. With the family sharing, I was able to download a new pro version instead of my upgraded paid free version. To make sure everything was good, I powered down my phone then turned back on. PasswordManager would open then shutdown. I read some comments that the FaceID wasn’t working, surely they would have disable? I deleted PasswordManager , reinstalled, opened, restored backup file, and FaceID was turned on by default, good grief. I turned of FaceID and now after hours of fun and troubleshooting and ridiculing by family PasswordManager works fine. If I didn’t have all the passwords already loaded I would go to another app. I suspect I’ll have more problems in the future.

***CAUTION*** read before using this app!!’

The developer has an app that is called iPassword
when Apple update 14.6 PasswordManager stopped working and everybody lost all of their passwords. There was no way to retrieve them you can look for yourself on Reddit and other blogs. The idiot developer didn’t contact people soon enough or at all to let them know. So thousands of people lost all of their passwords. You will also notice this is a Chinese developer so who knows what happen with these passwords now. I had PasswordManager for a number of years and then just like that it was gone. The password program was backed up on iCloud and dropbox but it will not sync to PasswordManager if you download this one. Some people had a little bit of success of recovering some of their passwords but a lot of people cannot get any of them back. For that reason I would not trust this developer they have irresponsible policies and regardless of the Apple update they need to be on top of things like this when you’re dealing with peoples personal information especially passwords. I’m trying to keep this professional and bite my tongue because the things that I really want to say will probably get me kicked off the Apple platform I am so angry about losing hundreds of passwords. DONT USE PasswordManager, PasswordManager is the same developer and same company don’t use it!!!!!

Initial Use

So far so good. I'm use to having an app with just 1 list in alphabetical order. PasswordManager can be divided into various categories. With division comes complexity. I just needed something simple. Ah to my chagrin it's unlikely one exists. My old app hasn't upgraded for years and will thusly will lose PasswordManager with my next IOS upgrade. So going with this one I hope won't lead to the same issue. Wish I could use my keyboard on computer to enter new data.
Now it's been a couple of months and I have to say I like PasswordManager but it keeps requesting that I rate this a 5 star every time I log in. This requires an additional click to cancel the request. I've given a four prior to experiencing this issue. Now I give it a one. It's like they are holding you ransom until they get the rating they want. This is not a get what you ask for scenario. I would change apps if I didn't have so much data to deal with. Now they have to deal with the one I've given it and I will never change the rating. Too bad so sad developers reap what you sow.
It continues to ask for a five star rating. I hate PasswordManager for this specific reason. Read above.

It's asked again. From this point on I will say "It's asked again" with a date every time it asks for a five star rating so anyone interested in PasswordManager will understand how annoying PasswordManager really is

Like the app when it works.

All problems fixed!!!

I’ve used PasswordManager for years and loved the flexibility and personalization. Every so often, after an upgrade, PasswordManager crashes every time I open it. It causes a panic. But after a few days or a week, there seems to be a fix. The only problem I have now is trying to see the print when I edit titles. Because I’m set up for the dark screen, the print is white. When I edit the title, so is the background and the notes. Looking forward to the next fit for this.

Previous post: Once I upgraded to the XR, PasswordManager crashes each time I try to open it. If I delete PasswordManager and install it from backed up version on icloud it will run until I close it. I’ve seen many similar posts beginning with the upgrade to facial recognition. Sad because I really liked PasswordManager. Now I’ll have to find something else. Fortunately I was able to recover my old passwords by reinstalling them and then taking pictures of them or emailing myself. Not the picture of safety I envisioned.

Conflicted

I’m conflicted about PasswordManager. I used to truly love it—I found it SO convenient to have all of my passwords stored locally on my device, with me needing to remember only one password. I even paid for the upgrade a while back. But out of nowhere, something went wrong. Several months ago, the icon for PasswordManager changed from silver and gold vault I knew to what seems like 3 white file folder cartoons (the first one with a key on it) placed on a blue background. I thought it was strange at first, but everything worked fine so I didn’t think much of it. But a couple months ago I experienced the strangest thing—my password for PasswordManager stopped working! And no, I never changed it. So now, I have all of my passwords saved locally on PasswordManager, but I can’t access any of them! I searched through forums, the developer page, all over the internet and I couldn’t find any answers. Now, I feel like I’m just SOL and have to reset all of my passwords...

Really nice app

I would have given five stars but I had some trouble editing the templates as the instructions were not clear how to use PasswordManager and it has no import or export for cvs files. Also the free version only allows for 6 entries, and no auto sync to iCloud. However, once I figured it out PasswordManager has plenty of useful features including popular websites & email accounts, as well as templates for routers, networks and banks. Once you figure out what you are doing it is pretty easy to use. $5 is fair compared to the other password managers and their subscription based apps but it really does need an import/export feature.

I loved it until....

I loved it until I bought a new phone and had to restore. The most important app I had to restore was this one because it had all my passwords from the beginning of time. I had an iPhone 6 that I purchased in early 2015 & soon started on PasswordManager as my choice for a password manager. TODAY I purchased a new iPhone X and when I went to open PasswordManager (icon) that was restored, I get a message telling me I won’t be able to restore because Apple ID blah blah blah. Perhaps PasswordManager I had was an earlier version where I was able to have unlimited entries without having to upgrade to Pro as I’ve read in other reviews- perhaps grandfathered in? Bummer to say it seems like I lost all my passwords to log-ins saved from websites and rewards apps, etc. Very disappointed that PasswordManager didn’t do what it claims-RESTORE! How many times do people replace phones? I just so happened to have the same phone for 4 years. I’ll be going with another password manager moving forward - not risking a history of passwords on an app that doesn’t do what it was supposed to do. PasswordManager icon wouldn’t even open on my new phone. ☹️

Update the old ipassword app to iOS 14.6 please!

Dear developer of iPassword,

You have many loyal customers that have supported your app since you developed iPassword. I, along with many other customers have seven years of stored passwords that I no longer can retrieve until you update that app. We have reached out to you via Twitter and attempted to reach you via email; however, the email address you provided does not work. We understand you have developed a new iPassword app however, everyone that downloaded your original iPassword app (and did not know you discontinued it) are all stuck with years of passwords we cannot retrieve. Please understand the frustration it has caused so many of us and we are waiting for you to update that app to the latest iOS software so that we can retrieve our information. You have mentioned in the Twitter on May 30, 2021 that you will update it as soon as possible but you have not given us an estimated time frame when it might be completed. Please give us a chance to retrieve our data! Thank you.

AVOID THIS APP - iPassword

4.4 IS A FALSE RATING ! Read the reviews. Some 5 star ratings are actual complaints about the developers not supporting the previous version and we all lost hundreds of passwords. APPLE should step in to fix this or at very least ban this developer.
I purchased the previous version of PasswordManager because PasswordManager I was using to store passwords stopped working and the developers refused to update it. AND NOW PasswordManager’s developers have done the EXACT SAME THING!!!! All of my passwords are un-retrievable because they refused to update the previous version to work with iOS 14.6! The new version will not honor previous purchases and the “fix” they offer to transfer data to the new app is a joke! Will not work!! If they did it once, They will do it again! If you use PasswordManager, you risk losing all data saved to it! I guess the only way to prevent this is to go back to keeping paper copies of my passwords and lock them in safe?? Thanks Apple and Thanks iPassword for taking my money only to lock up my data with not so much as a ransom note!

WARNING: DO NOT BUY THIS APP!

I purchased the pro version of PasswordManager years ago and used it extensively. The owner stopped supporting PasswordManager so they could dump the entire current user base and force everyone to purchase it again! Because they stopped updating it, I could not open it anymore in newer versions of my operating system. To me this should be illegal, it seems like embezzlement and they should be prosecuted for misleading thousands of users into thinking they purchased a lifetime license. Today I saw that there was an update option; however, when I tried it my whole application was deleted and I lost everything from the previous app… it was useless anyway but I was hoping someday they would update it. I’ve been using RoboForm ever since they stopped supporting PasswordManager. I’d say if you use PasswordManager, even if you purchased a license… stop now and transfer your license to some other app like RoboForm before the developers have a chance to do this again! Incidentally, RoboForm also syncs your logins with your Laptop or Desktop PC.

Good features

I like that PasswordManager lets you customize the folders that you put your information in. You can customize it to what suits your need; or you can just use what they already have set up for you. PasswordManager is limited on how much info you can store. Have to upgrade for more space to ad more to your list. So far I completed about 7 entries to my list before I was prompted to write a review for more free space; or I had the option to upgrade to the pro version for unlimited space. Don't know what the cost is. Well...here's my review. LOL...I will continue to use PasswordManager to see how much more I can ad to my list before I am blocked from adding any more. Haven't decided yet if I'm gonna upgrade to pro or not. So far I like PasswordManager , I just wish there was a greater storage capacity. This is the first of this type of app I'm using.

BEWARE: Not compatible with newest iPhones

I just upgraded my iPhone 6 to the iPhone XR. PasswordManager doesn’t work now with my new phone. I have spent hours troubleshooting, deleting PasswordManager and reinstalling it, but it just won’t stay open! It opens immediately after reinstalling and downloading from iCloud, but as soon as you exit out of PasswordManager it crashes and never opens again. I have all my passwords stored in there from the last 2 years. Luckily, I still have my old phone so I can login and open my passwords. Unfortunately, I have to find an alternative backup method. It was convenient being able to copy and paste everything. The issue with using apple or google password keychain is that it only stores the passwords. If you need access to other information such as your ID number, pin, login questions and answers, that’s where PasswordManager would have come in extremely handy. I was using it in a daily basis. Now I don’t know what I’m gonna do. I really hope they update PasswordManager soon otherwise its a waste of money and time!

LOCKED OUT OF OLD VERSION!!

I have been using a password for several years with great success, and recently updated my iPhone XS max to version 14.5 at which time I received the following message when trying to access my iPassword app: “The developer of PasswordManager needs to update it to work with this version of iOS”. Many other iPhone users are having the same problem and I have research this on the forums without resolution. One person noted that the developer has the website which is all in Chinese. I uploaded the new version of PasswordManager which has a similar icon and when I attempted to use the contact us button the email came back as undeliverable. So, years worth of passwords are no longer accessible. I gave the review of one star in hopes that the developer will see the review and correct this issue. I’ll add that several more sophisticated users have made all kinds of attempts to access this information using their advanced knowledge of software, to no avail.

Works good

PasswordManager is very user friendly and I use it a lot. However it will not stop asking me to rate it. Every single time I log in, which is multiple times a day, I have to say no. I am now rating it in hopes that the rating pop up will go away. It would have gotten 5 stars other then that, and if it continues to ask me, the rating will keep going down.

Update: Have rated PasswordManager 3 times and it keeps asking me to rate it. It’s irritating!

Update: It’s looking like they won’t leave me alone until I give them a 5 star rating. I did pay for PasswordManager, so I am a little upset. If I don’t think you deserve 5 stars or just don’t want to rate you, that is my right. I’m considering finding another app for this, but you already got my money, so probably no skin off of your back.

Avoid if you don’t want to lose your data

I recommend staying away from this Developer. They had a previous iPassword App that they stopped supporting. No notice was provided to the user community. Nor can you buy PasswordManager or Pro Version and import your data from cloud storage or local device storage. It’s has left 100s of us without the ability to get our data after recent upgrade to iOS 14.5 and 6. Apple doesn’t let you revert back to an older IOS version so your data is losses. Personally, I just lost 5 years of data. This is password and other critical data logger which needs better controls to avoid this happening. Of course Apple point the finger at PasswordManager , the Developer at Apple and both at us the consumer. I am sure in the numerous pages of fine print we agreed to get screwed. I still expected better from Apple and their Developers. Recommend finding a more reliable service if you need a Password Manager.

Buyer Beware

I have been using PasswordManager for the last 5 years and loved it. I recently upgraded phones from 6s plus to iPhone 12 and just found out that I can’t get any of my information from ipassword to transfer over because the newer app doesn’t support it. I’ve tried to reach out to developer through the support email address and I received a failure delivery notification. I tried clicking the contact is button and it goes the a person Facebook account which I added as a friend and still have not heard back. I’ve since read the reviews and noticed that multiple people have also expressed their frustration due to this same issue and I never saw the developer respond at it. It appears the developer doesn’t support PasswordManager as they should. I would not recommend PasswordManager to anyone unless this is address, out of fear that this will happen again in the future with newer iPhones.

Love this app!

PasswordManager is very user friendly. The data are easily accessible. I’m so glad my friend recommended it to me. I have different password for different apps and accounts. PasswordManager has definitely rescue me many times over. It’s hard to keep track of all my user names and passwords. I used to track them on a Excel spreadsheet. However, it was an inconvenience because I don’t carry my laptop in my pocket. And for obvious reasons, I can’t print a copy and carry it with me. Lol

Now, everything is on PasswordManager. I actually refer back to it everyday. I highly recommend this to anyone who’s looking for an app to help manage your accounts & data/password.

FAIL! App Not Supported with iOS Update

I have been using an earlier version of PasswordManager (iPassword) produced by the same developer for years successfully, but received a message today saying “The developer of PasswordManager needs to update it to work with this version of iOS” after my iOS automatically updated. After trying to reach out to the developer, speaking to Apple, and browsing tons of forums of other users who experienced this issue, there is apparently no solution to this issue unless the developer updates PasswordManager . There was no warning about app incompatibility so myself and other app users with this issue were unable to back up our passwords before losing access. Please try learning from my mistake and consider saving your passwords another way or with an app whose developer is actually able to be contacted. Very disappointed.
