Update: the other surge monitoring apps have been blocked by Uber but Surge 2x continues to survive. I’m raising my rating accordingly!

There are so many areas that Surge2x needs improvement. But the developers seem to have lost interest since Uber restricted the number of surge alerts to just the active one (without changing their monthly fee I’d add). But there are many areas in which they could develop aside from that. So here are some suggestions:

The notification button should be located on the front screen – not in settings. The user should be able to determine the volume of the notifications, with a setting for time of day so that they can determine when notifications will automatically be switched on or off (I’d like mine to switch on at 3:30am!) Also being able to determine the alert sound itself would be nice.

The data analytics in Surge2x leave a lot to be desired. Instead of only being able to export into a spreadsheet – which is a nice feature – wouldn’t it be better to be able to see it visual representation of surge times at a particular location right from Surge2x ?

Clearly the developers are not actually Uber drivers or they would be putting a lot more effort into this product. I resent having to pay a monthly fee for a product that is clearly not being actively developed.

Can somebody tell me how to download the lyft version for lyft drivers in Surge2x store Surge2x is only available for uber drivers and for lyft drivers it says Surge2x is not available in your country or region in united states how i can download Surge2x i can change country wherever it’s available ?

Since i use the tri rail at añl times ,for the first time i see a banner in a truck saying uber and the tri rail partner with uber for get a ride i just downloaded Surge2x and take me to uber app i certainly says your driver is almost finished her ride i can’t wait so i cancel few seconds later bc i don’t how long this person will be take to come and pick me up .i want to get another ride and the price from $12 when to $30 dollars beside they charging me at cancellation fee more than 6 dollars
First to all the driver was no finished her ride
2. Surge2x did not say when you cancel will be a charge like Lyft does.(I should keep Lyft)
3 For be the first time using Surge2x supposed help people is not true Surge2x is a thief.

Stop asking me to get Lyft version , I think one request is good . Why keep nagging about it ?

Also the push notifications seem to be hit or miss, I’m paying the 2,99$ please fix push notifications.

Surge2x used to work brilliantly 2 years ago; however, that is no longer the case. New Years Eve 2017 surge in my city was lit up like a Christmas tree, but Surge2x showed “no surge” anywhere in town (I even paid for premium service). And even on New Years Day 2018 where only the airport was surging ... app didn’t show any surge. *glad I didn’t pay for more than 1 month of premium. **I don’t chase surge, but Surge2x was handy when it worked.

Well worth using the free version, and the paid $3 per month is awesome for drivers and passengers. All it takes is one ride to save more than the monthly fee.

I love Surge2x, but for some reason over the last week, Surge2x doesn’t update my current location and just keeps checking the location the last time Surge2x was opened. To update my location I actually have to open Surge2x . If that’s the case, I’m better off just using the free version.

Not enough time to even get to the surge.
It’s very hard to only be able to check ONE town at a time, it needs to be updated so that while using Surge2x we can see all or atleast multiple towns at once. Also by the time i get the surge notification i never can make it to the town before it’s over!

I previously used another app where it would alert you to surge in any location you had marked. I discovered your app when the other one stopped working. I miss this feature though. Any chance of adding it?

I have a paid subscription and been loving Surge2x. It’s extremely handy and been working perfectly. However, the last few days it keeps saying a surge is at 2.5x but no surge ever comes. It’s beyond frustrating after Surge2x has been working flawlessly. Is there a problem right now?

The interface is a bit cumbersome, would be better if there was maps and pins you could place on. It doesn’t make it easy to switch between different surge areas fast.

It should shows or notify us of all surge areas if there more than one Surges area at the same time without me try to find that by typing locations by location.

Uber’s surge multiplier is intentional chaos; often seems to grant individuals flat-rate rides in the midst of an otherwise hours-long surgefest.

App information seems more accurate where Uber pinpoints pickup locations, such as airports.

Without historical data, multiple pins, and alerts Surge2x is a waste of time.

It only shows the CURRENT surge for ONE spot. You can easily just check the Uber app to see where the current surge is so why bother?

If Surge2x were to allow you to monitor and record surge trends for multiple locations that you specified then it would be worth it.

API Usage.

Uber allows maximum 2000 requests per hour. Please make a tap refresh session button.

Surge2x should immediately be removed from Surge2x Store. As soon as I downloaded it my Uber driver app was hacked. All of my information was changed and the hacker tried to drain my account. I am now locked out of my account and Uber support is a nightmare to deal with. Apple needs to immediate remove Surge2x from the store.

It was working before i subscribed. After that i could not get full use of it. It does not indicate an email or phone number for any issues. I want to know how i could get the best out Surge2x? Oct 22 There is a big issue money just down the drain. I ll have to contact apple for refund.

Hay guys is it possible you can update Surge2x so we can see the surge for multiple locations or on the map?

A feature, even in premium, to have access to a surge map would be nice. The current system of checking specific locations is only useful sometimes.

Make it changing locations by itself not driver self and shows auto updates any where around driving places
