I am a network engineer. CamHi is forcing location privileges on your phone that are NOT associated with the operation of the camera or app. And prevent CamHi from operating if you decline. When CamHi is working, it’s terrible. Do not waste your time and jeopardize your security. There are numerous apps you can use for network cameras, you DO NOT have to use their app like they lead you to believe. (Edit: I could not believe CamHi had even 3 stars, so I scrolled through the reviews. It is immediately obvious that the 5 star written reviews are fake or staged.) Steer clear of CamHi, it is deceptive and malicious.

CamHi is easy to configure, which is good. The observed image on an iPhone looks great. Problematically, the image observed on an iPad is just terrible. The aspect ratio is not preserved, and the image is horribly distorted. I would give a significantly better rating once this is fixed. Thnx, d
New issue: There have been a couple of recent updates. Unfortunately, there seems to be a bug that causes the camera to open images in Standard Definition, instead of High Definition. You can reset it temporarily with the button on the lower right hand corner. But you have to re-do that every time you sign in. Hopefully that is an easy fix since that didn’t happen previously.

There are a bunch of features on this version of CamHi that is not compatible with the sv3c wireless camera. Like taking pictures or recording when motion is detected. I even have a new 64 gig SD card installed in the camera and I can only view it while I'm away. I want the camera to record automatically when motion is detected. I've contacted the manufacturer for this camera and they emailed me a list of step by step instructions to use but this version of the Cam hi app and the version that was emailed to me for instructions are two different apps. Where's CamHi that's compatible with the SV3C where all the features work? !!!!! 😠

Ever since latest update the cams start in SD every time and used to start in HD or whatever was set last, also the time won’t sync right so can’t find alarm recordings or planned because the date isn’t right, need to be able to “search all” and it pull any dates up not just last hour or half day or day or week, the custom does no good cuz you can’t input a range plus you don’t know where to start cuz cam date wrong ...
the SD card shows data but no recordings and won’t format to empty... just needs update that actually works!!!

I purchased outdoor cameras but have enormous difficulties to get the proper support from this Company for setting up the cameras
The guy I am in touch with is the sales manager John who is not helpful in resolving issues and now does not reply to my emails
I have installed a 32 GB micro SD card for trials however CamHi had no provisions to stop function shows plan recording and on app I have clicked on the alarm recording which just keeps recording twice
CamHi has no provision to carry out snap shot on alarm notification and does not provide photos on the cameras to see movements and then delete if not necessary
All other WiFi applications have these functions to record photo shots on the camera and then delete direct if not required
I requested this company many many times by email to update CamHi and add these functions for easy access on WiFi rather then start tedious PC program which most of the time does not work
I am most unhappy with the working of these cameras although I was led to believe by the sales man that the product was good but now feel not up-to my expectations

This fixes Time and one hour Delayed Recording issues.
“Daylight Savings Time (DST)” selector is coded wrong, and must remain in the OFF position until they fix this app App. For correct time zones select your timezone for winter operation, and when the summer hours starts, select the timezone east of you. I.e. winter is -7, summer is -6. Just keep the DST switch to OFF. You will get your motion alerts immediately, and the video logged time will be the same as live stream.

Like the camera but CamHi is definitely “something else.” I’ve had at least 1 camera for about 6 months and still don’t fully understand all the settings and where to find stuff. I used to have it on a scheduled recording AND motion recordings. Either that was a glitch or they changed something because I can only do one or the other now. Again, I like the camera but CamHi is not very user friendly

I have CamHi installed on 2 different iPhones. On my wife’s phone I can hear the audio from the cameras microphone. But on my iPhone I can’t hear the audio from the camera. I have my volume turned up and I can also speak into my phone and hear it on the camera speaker (when I press and hold the microphone icon). I’ve reinstalled CamHi . Any suggestions as to why I can’t hear the audio from the cam microphone?

I’m sure there are some folks out there who only run one or two cameras so for them, CamHi is perfect! I’ve got mine dialed into 8 different cameras and I don’t like having to switch between each one to see what’s going on when an alert comes across the phone for motion detection.
I’d LOVE to see CamHi get the ability to split the cameras into 4 screens on a smaller screen. If that happens CamHi would be perfect. It’s a little buggy from time to time with the network connection stuff still but overall it does what it needs to do.

I recently purchased a camera to go on my front porch. I absolutely LOVED CamHi . Until I received my iPhone X yesterday. CamHi will not work on the new phone. When I attempt to load it CamHi immediately closes. It would get 5 stars if I was still on my old iPhone 7. But now I can’t use my camera at all from my new phone which was the entire reason I purchased the camera. Hopefully this issue can be fixed so I can give it the 5 stars it deserves!

The this app app is a good app. Easy to install and very user friendly. It however need multi screen support capabilities to enhance user experiences. The developer also need to iron out the lost in connection issue. Connection loss happens too frequently. Also to add cloud support even for a small annual fee, and allow user to log into their account and view already saved images and videos.

The recent update for viewing 4 cams is great, finally, thank you! We need this for the Apple TV and a Mac version. It would also be helpful if eBay sellers would list which app works with their cams, some do and some don’t, so check before you buy.
Would also be nice if the 2-way audio worked but maybe that’s a firmware issue on the cam itself and not app related. I gave it 4 stars only because of no Apple TV and Mac app.

First thing first, make sure your camera is compatible with CamHi from the camera seller. I bought 10 different WIFI cameras to try, only one can use CamHi and the sellers did provide instructions accordingly. If your camera doesn’t work with CamHi, contact the seller and ask the right app to use. I even read a one-star review on CamHi although s/he got instructions from the seller to use another app, what’s the matter?!

Update: I've discovered I cannot configure a schedule for the motion alarm but can do so using the PC program. I've lowered my rating to 4-stars until this feature is added to CamHi . Otherwise the alarm feature is useless as all my employees at work were tripping the alarm every 5 seconds lol
Original: I have used many IP camera apps and have never been impressed. I bought a pair of SV3C cameras and CamHi is recommended and it is by far the best camera app I've used. Thank you for all the hard work that went into CamHi!

I have three outdoor 1080p-ptz cameras on Ethernet that I use indoors. One in basement and two on main floor. Now with kids home and no school I find it bothersome even more that I can’t group all three camera and have a button to push that turns off motion detection alarm. I have to do each one separate.
Also, the cameras pick up so many false alarms that I can’t use the siren feature except for the basement. Otherwise I wake up multiple times at night. But the good thing is they have a bright light that triggers with motion so that would hopefully scare away anyone.
The cameras should be better at scheduling without having to go to a pc for some features.
Otherwise no major issues.

It took CamHi 24hrs to show continuous video records after set up with a SD chip. Manual movement of the camera through CamHi is rough. The explanation for uploading to an online server and to your email is very vague. Tracking isn’t that grate but it somewhat works. However, the continuous recording and alerts are working.
UPDATE: 4 stars. App is working very good now.

The first one I bought did not work, or at least I couldn’t get it to work. Then I bought another one and I did get it to work after I learned the idiosyncrasies of the set up. It was quite awkward to have to unscrew the screws and open up the camera in order to insert the SD card. But it does record video when motion is detected. There was a time when it was on constantly recording, but then I just turned off the recording schedule and the alarm recording (motion) still functioned.
It works well over Wi-Fi, but I have not yet gotten it to work over the Internet when my phone is not connected to Wi-Fi. Rather the camera works but I cannot view it remotely when I’m away from the house.
The aspect ratio on my iPhone is stretched horizontally and I haven’t figured out how to correct the aspect ratio on my iPhone.

I have 7 of these cameras, all mounted outside...and live in northern Minnesota. The oldest camera is 3-years old and the newest is about 1 year old. I’ve yet to have any issues with the cameras and very minimal issues with the software. For the price, you can’t beat the quality and dependability (in my opinion). Bottom line.....Love it!

This is the only app I have a used among 10+ camera apps i had with the siren feature -I can record audio messages like “the area is under surveillance” to warn trespassers. It’s extremely slow to initiate the service it’s OK I can’t tolerate it. It would be 10 stars if it could allow me to set a timer for the alarm (too sensitive, too many alerts during night hours at the same sensitivity level)

I appreciate that it’s wireless and that I can see my home when I’m out. I also like that it can send pictures through email and I can change the settings to my liking as needed. I especially love how I can move the camera and the notifications are nice, even if they’re spammy, better safe than sorry. Has great optics overall and I love that I can speak into it and get audio feedback. Recording is great too. Honestly can’t complain for the price and value.
Copied from above... "CamHi works most of the time. If it is not working for you, we recommend you excersise some patience and retry later or Contact Support. Seriously??? Patience only means it will NOT work for a longer period of time. Patience means doing nothing but waiting. Doing nothing does not fix any of it's problems. Who's the moron that wrote that patience sentence, the programmer of the app? No wonder the app has many problems. He must have a lot of patience and gets back to it much, much later instead of just doing the work to fix it!
i have the sensitivity set to the lowest setting "2" but still have alot of false alarms, anyone else have this issue and if so please share if you were able to fix this
Some kind of way the app has not working or has kicked out the password, keeps saying wrong password.
