If I could leave a no star rating I would. I had to go to the extreme of cancelling my card and ordering a new one because after removing my payment method from PayTollo not allowing transactions through my phone, deleting PayTollo and turn off location services for PayTollo.. I continued to get charged!! I even tried to log back thinking maybe I did something wrong but sure enough a message popped up confirming that my account was inactive.. then I started receiving emails saying my account would get deactivated if I didn’t update my payment method.. since I went back to SunPass I just let it “deactivate” even though it already was!! And last but not least this morning I started receiving invoices to my emails again!!! How are you still tracking me and continuing attempts to charge my card when I stopped sharing my location and my account is supposedly inactive already?? Of course I had all the proof and all the screenshots to prove all of this so my bank did not hesitate to issue me a new card.. do not recommend for anyone, ever.. Period.

Was supposed to be refunded 14 days after I deactivated my account. The money was never refunded, I changed banks so the card on file was changed. My new card was charged 25$ so now I was owed 18$ for the original card and the 25$ I was charged for new card. The 25$ was refunded, but the 18$ can’t be refunded because they can only refund to the original payment. So I don’t recommend to use. They steal your money.

this along with other 3rd party apps are blocking the state apps they appear to be a redirection. fees, loading minimums , never tell you your region isn't in covered area, immediately take money, cant remove banking info, two completely different popups when removing information and trying to deactivate. do yourself a favor and go through official website if too long write out the old fashion check and put it in the mailbox you'll have better luck getting it paid and headache/ stress free. these scammers should be in prison.

If you want to be removed or refunded they give you the run around. If you use PayTollo you may be subject to having your info out there forever so I’d think twice before you put your info in PayTollo unless you are from California they don’t pay tolls in central US good luck be smart

I would give PayTollo no stars if I could. Complicated to use initially and you can’t even use it until 24 hours after you’re “activated”, so it’s pointless when you forget to grab your epass when you change cars and travel for the day and need to use it the day of. Didn’t realize you need 24 hour activation until after you sign up and pay. They force you to put $25 automatically on your account and it auto recharges and charges you a fee that’s non refundable. Once I realized how much money they were taking out when not necessary, I made my account inactive and turned my location services for it off which apparently all was a lie. They said they would refund you when you inactivate and I even got an email stating my refund is complete but nothing is in my bank account showing I was refunded days after. Instead, they charged me for a toll weeks after I made my account inactive. PayTollo is a scam. I see others have had the same unfortunate events. Do not download and give them your money. I will delete this review if you give me my full refund back.

I was interested in the service ONLY for rental car usage. It took several steps before I learned you don’t support rental cars. This fact should be set forth right upfront. I have to use a toll tag for my neighborhood gate entrance , club entrance so I can’t use your service for my general personal car use. When you get your and going on rental cars please let me know.

When it works it’s okay but when it doesn’t (and trust me it won’t sometimes) the support is almost nonexistent. They state you are covered by a guarantee but that is an empty promise. If you incur fees from a toll not being picked up by this app you are on your own. There is no phone number for customer support. You send an email and get no response. I have probably sent 20 emails, with 2 responses that were of no help.

Downloaded PayTollo after the toll authority in Florida included a flyer for PayTollo in my last bill. Thought it would be a cheaper way to keep up with my tolls. WRONG. They charge a fee for each toll you go through, each time they "pay a bundle of tolls" (even if you prepay on your this app account) and a fee each time you put money on your account. If you live in Florida and go through a lot of tolls per day, DO NOT GET PayTollo.

Registered a rental car on PayTollo , went through tolls using app. App said tolls were captured and deducted from my balance. Received notices and fines in the mail from the rental car company because they actually paid the tolls. Was not reimbursed from this app. Disappointing, especially when I could’ve just bought the toll plan from the rental company. I had what was left on my account refunded and I closed it.

I can’t even register my 2021 vehicle because it’s not a listed option. And my car is one of the most popular models on the road today.

Also, there is no explanation on how or where this service is supposed to work. No thanks! I’ll stick to my reliable EZ Pass.

I thought I had all my tolls paid when PayTollo kept taking money out my card & almost got my licenses suspended for owing $80 in tolls that I thought were getting paid. Where is my money going? No idea. Tried to deactivate and saw it was STILL taking money out my card. Had to redownload PayTollo and try to delete my card info off of it and it won’t let me. PayTollo DOES NOT WORK WHAT SO EVER, IT IS STEALING MY MONEY AND I HAVE NO IDEA HOW IM GOING TO GET MY CARD INFO OUT FROM IT. If I could put negative stars, I would.

I did not register my rental vehicle because PayTollo does not cover rentals and even worse they require you to put in a minimum 30 dollars before finding this information out! It has been over 2 weeks and I have yet to receive my refund although PayTollo says that they will refund you if you do not register a car within 24-48 hours or you discontinue the service and I did both and yet you all still have my money... this is a scam and a rip off and I am glad I didn’t not load more than 31 dollars I have to dispute it with my credit card company!!!

You don’t actually save money on tolls when using PayTollo. Maybe on the toll itself you can, but not after the transaction fees hit.

Also, you have to leave location enabled always, which is a huge battery killer. It’s not like other apps that “always” use your location but only check it occasionally. This keeps the GPS on and active ALWAYS. Thought by battery was shot until I checked the battery usage in settings. this app was #1 with over 30%. Setting the location to “only while using PayTollo ” does not work anymore. (But it used to)

TL;DR: more expensive than other toll payment methods and kills your battery.

I was excited to discover E-Pass started to support this cool app. I really don’t use tolls much so I though it be prefect to use! Well the fees kinda of kill it.. So 40 Cents to reload isn’t bad but what the killer is if you don’t Seattle your balance right away after the tolls you’ve passed you PAY 40 Cents EXTRA on top of the tolls plus NO discounts what they mean by discounts if you Seattle right away you’ll just pay the normal cost of the toll might invest in a E-Pass now I’ll get lower rates and no fees!

I just love PayTollo and I would recommend to anyone who likes to see clearly what’s been charged

On my 10th trip (Rental Cars) - Works Great!
Business Trips- Very easy to use. Take a picture of your license plate and end date/time (mine are one way trips to/from multiple airports).
Works as designed.
One minor change - would like to sort by date that i went through the toll plaza (think expenses reports) vs when paid.

I have no idea why anyone is complaining about PayTollo. I used PayTollo in Miami and Orlando on two separate occasions and it worked flawlessly. For five tolls, I paid 40 cents for a fee. 40 CENTS. That's it. If all I have to pay is 40 cents for the convenience of having TOTAL control over my tolls (in a rental car no less), then I'm quite happy to do so. No lugging around your own transponder. No paying rental agency fees. Easy, simple system. Thanks for making this. It has completely simplified my Florida trips. 😊

Just visited Miami and searched for toll app! Found this gem! Simple and easy to use. Makes paying tolls painless!

I used this regularly while traveling around our state. This has replaced toll tags and has been very convenient to use. I don’t need them for rentals so that’s not an issue for me. Haven’t had problems with billing others have experienced. Keep up the good work and happy travels.

PayTollo is super convenient. I love not having to worry about unpaid tolls. The best part, if you don’t have your GPS running and it doesn’t catch a toll, it works like automatic toll to plate. So if you are worried about killing your battery, don’t. It is a great app. There are fees for reloading but you can not beat the ease and access.

I just deactivated my account, even after uninstalling it the first time it still auto re-loaded. Even though I don’t wanna use it anymore. PayTollo has a mind of its own, I keep getting toll bills in the mail from tolls that I supposedly ran even though I had pay toll open. And then when I have PayTollo completely closed out and I’m riding with a Friend, money still came out of the account.... so even though I would rush to open PayTollo before I had it all every now and again, it still could’ve taken money out of PayTollo even though it was not open?

Hence why I say it has a mind of its own. I’m tired of getting toll bills in the mail, I will just go back to Sunpass, I cannot believe they advertised PayTollo in their Sunpass mail. I was very excited to use PayTollo, it has a clean look, and it looks simple to use. But when it comes time to use it, it craps itself... then it wouldn’t sign me in before I got in the road, hoping it would sign in three times at stop lights and nothing.
Then would not remove my card... finally just had to come down to a deactivation... I want my money back, I’ll be heading back to surpass. Maybe I’ll come back after you actually fix PayTollo to work properly on ALL of the tolls here in Florida. And if it was select tolls only, put it in a notification or an introduction...

I just recently downloaded PayTollo and the concept is perfect. Easy to use, it notified me when I crossed the tall and it let me know I had to pay. I was under the impression I would save money cause it charges $0.20 less than what the toll price is. But when I was paying it charges a $0.40 convenience fee so I ended up losing money instead of saving. Aside from that everything was good. Won't be using it again though cause saving money was the whole point of me downloading PayTollo .

PayTollo seems useful, and I don’t want to put $25 on PayTollo when I will need less than $10 for my whole trip. If the reload amount could go below $25, I’d consider it again.

I’ve been using PayTollo for the past 8 months and considering the cluster you-know-what that SunPass has been I’m happy to be able to completely bypass their system and use this app. It works best if you leave location services on but I’ve used it without and it works fine. Sometimes there is a delay with getting charged when I go through a toll but it does eventually register. You have the option to dispute a charge or immediately pay and it recharges itself when your allotted money gets low. I like PayTollo and will continue to use it.

I used PayTollo during a trip to Illinois . The app shows that they paid my tolls. My tolls have NOT been paid. I’m being billed from Illinois Tollway. No will respond from PayTollo.

We used the app in IL and FL and paid the tolls via the app. I am now receiving bills and fees on top of it from the state of FL and IL. I'm been taken for the money to "prefund" the app for something I thought would work and now I'm getting fees and fines because I thought I had paid the tolls. Sounds like fraud to me. Will be contacting the BBB.
