Werble: Photo & Video Animator Reviews

What a delightful find, this is! Making video clips or GIFs that loop seamlessly is difficult, at best, and this app makes it easy; import a photo from your camera roll and add pre-built looping elements atop it — things like random graphic design pieces or flames or falling leaves; there are tons of things available (most as IAPs, but no subscription—buy the element once and you can use it as much as you want for as long as you want). The elements that are included are a great way to get a feel for Werble and if you think it’d be worth it to buy other element packs. For me, it was a no-brainer; many of the element packs are tremendously useful for my work. (I do media production professionally, and have already found ways to incorporate some of the stuff I build in this app into my work.)

This is an easy to use app that makes it fun to build spectacular animations on your favorite iOS device.

(My only complaint about it is that as of now, they only offer square canvases, but I wrote to the developer and they tell me that different aspect ratios are on the way!)

So impressed, so useful for designers/artists. I consider it an amazing design tool. We needed this. Artists and designers have searched for exactly this for years. You guys are the only ones who have actually pulled it off. The future is so bright for this software. This will bring forth a new evolution for content creators/designers/artists, marketing, etc. so not only is it an awesome design tool, it’s so much fun!! I hope to see you guys expand the software- I believe this will be a goto tool for designers.

Great work! I hope to see deeper design options for advanced users, custom text animations, and the ability to export various high resolution video sizes like 16:9 etc. I see this being a great great tool for web designers too. So if we can mask things off and export in a transparent way for the way for the web that would be even cooler. For example animating a logo without a white background having the ability to do it with a transparent background video export would be amazing.

Anyway- I love what you guys have done it’s exciting and so radical.

This is the greatest app to use for animating your art. I use this app extensively to create artwork for podcasts on social media. But after emailing the developers more than once for over a year, we are still unable to SAVE our projects within Werble ! This is absolutely ridiculous.

If you are designing an animated piece and you go to a different app to find an additional picture to include in your art, this app can suddenly “refresh” and you lose all your progress with absolutely no way to get it back. What kind of “professional” app is this?!? Checking Werble size on my iPhone shows Werble uses over 5GB in storage. The cache is all there from every project I’ve made in two years.

LET US SAVE OUR PROJECTS. Stop making new features when the most important one is still missing. I was promised a year ago by the developers that this feature would be “available soon”. Is this a joke? I cannot recommend Werble to other artists due to this very simple feature being missing. Also missing is another simple feature: an “undo” option in case you mistakenly move a layer. Scroll through critical reviews on here and witness the developers promising everyone that these features are “coming soon”. Over a year is not considered “coming soon”.

I usually only write a review so Werble will stop bugging me, but not this time. this app is not only good, but made me excited to write a review—no nagging required! The UI feels intuitive and is aesthetically pleasing. The ability to add multiple layers and edit each individually makes a huge difference in the final result. Beyond adjusting the lighting, colors, rotation, etc., you can even add animated effects to your animated effects with the pulse feature! Unlike some other apps, you don't have to pay to export your this app creation in high resolution video or GIF format (what's the point of making it if you can't share it?), and there are plenty of free, high quality animation packs—no sad, tiny sample packs here. The premium packs are reasonably priced if you want them, but you don't need them to make stunning videos and gifs. The cost to permanently remove watermarks is a little higher than other apps of this type I've used, but if my $4 helps the creators continue to develop and grow Werble, I'm happy to pay it! Keep up the great work, this app team!

This is the most comprehensive app I have ever used in any category. It is very very beginner friendly! It has a guide that will literally walk you through every single step the way a card game does when you first start to play one on PC. You will never be confused on how the program works. On top of that, there are video tutorials that will show you how to do more advanced designs. It has an engaging community! Soon as you start Werble , you will be able to see some of the latest work from users like yourself.. They showcase some of the best work and you can go to their instagram to see all the amazing work for ideas.. Plenty of free add-ons and the paid ones are very cheap! Usually range from 0.99 to 1.99 usd. Very affordable and very worth it.. Werble itself works flawlessly for me and I’m using an iphone 6S Plus. I promise you will be addicted to Werble once you start using it. Excellent work!!!

I do enjoy using Werble, and would recommend Werble to anyone who doesn’t want to go to the expense and trouble of learning to use Adobe PhotoShop. this app is user friendly, and has a large variety of free effect packs. Of course there are also in app purchases, the cost for them is usually minimal. Most of the this app Community posts their work on Instagram, and are as a whole friendly and will often share their knowledge on how they created certain effects using Werble . Most users find themselves so enthralled with using Werble and post numerous videos on a daily basis. You can also choose to just use Werble for your personal photos as a means to enhance them, or as a way to give your businesses advertising a real kick. The rest of the users fall into the category of animating just for the fun of it. Whatever your needs are, you must try Werble a few times. Have fun.

I do want to say that this could eventually be something great! It makes creating a GIF feel very simple. As far as I can tell (feel free to correct me cause I’d rather be wrong) but when you import a picture it crops in. There is no way to pinch zoom back out to get the entire picture. You can hold and move to a different part of the image but that’s still not getting the entire image. Another huge obstacle I found was for photographers who have beautiful pictures on their social media the only way to get those pictures to work with Werble is to screenshot it. Unfortunately....now it will crop in and also when exporting a final creation, it creates a very very low resolution gif and the final image is unusable. Like it’s really bad...If I could show you the photo you would agree. No desktop version which I thought maybe I could use to import jpeg images to mess around with but it looks like you are just stuck with your phone library at the moment. To wrap it up, for fun...sure, maybe but if you are looking to stand out with a quality photo...it’s just not there yet.

This is one of those Apps you *want* to leave a review for ! Lots of good freebies, slick, doesn’t shove things down your throat, gorgeous effects at reasonable prices (if you even want to buy some). My only thing is, and I’m sure this has been asked or mentioned before ... please make it possible to add effects to video ! I realize it’s to make still images “move” but come on ... pleasseee !!! I want to add some of these effects to video so bad !

Also, and this may be asking too much, but making the effects interactive with the phone movement would be amazing: move the phone back and forth moves the effects back and forth, etc. It wouldn’t work with the video/gif format obviously but still, essentially an interactive Live video format. Probably too much to ask for as a new format of file (and a way to view it) would be needed. Anyways great app ! Please add the ability to add the effects to video also !!! 😜

I love using this app to help bring a sense of life to my toy photography sessions everyday. Whether it’s adding fire to my backyard as a Godzilla figure stomps through, or adding dramatic lightning strikes to my Thor figure, Werble really enhances my photography.

Now, with such a great app for photos and allowing it to make GIFS to share anywhere, why not take it a step further and allow videos to be edited? I make a lot of toy movies, and I have an upcoming movie project for school. this app, along with a potential video editor, would allow for so many fun options! One key feature would be tweening. This allows for an effect to move in a video frame by frame wherever you choose. For example, let’s say I have a shot of a forest, panning left to right. I can then mask and tween my effects to stay in their proper place as the camera moves, rather than the effects awkwardly moving with the camera instead.

I’d love for a video editor option to be added soon. I’ve listed just a few features that could be very easily implemented, but you guys over there could always add more fun ideas you think of. I’d say it’d mostly be the same interface, but simply adding tweening to the tools menu.

Hopefully you guys at this app take my idea into consideration. I’d love for it to be added soon.

Werble is amazing. I saw it as an ad on Facebook, and have a small side business photoshopping pictures. Adding Werble to my list of resources was a game changer! The cost to remove the water mark is higher than some others out there, but the versatility and artistic quality to it doesn’t compare. I paid to remove the watermark within SECONDS of using Werble . You will NOT regret getting Werble. There are some limitations though. The squared aspect ratio is very limiting. I’d like the ability to import photos with their natural size and shape. Also, the export quality isn’t quite there. When I send some gifs out, though they look good on my phone, they seem a little distorted when viewed on the receiver’s phone. But I’m sure the developers are working on those improvements.

I have found a new pastime in Werble! Powerful, creative and completely in your control, this has it all. Turn any image into a stunning work of art, and save it as a gif or video! I’ve used it to revamp my social media profiles, make wallpapers for my device, and just for fun when I’ve got nothing to do!

Some of the most effective visuals, such as the lightning, glows, and smokes, are all pay, which is a slight downside. Also really think that making users pay $4 to remove the watermark is completely unnecessary, but the pros of Werble definitely out-way these for the most part!
In future updates, I would recommend the addition of falling waters, editable texts, and neon paint that can be applied in any pattern by the user. Also, the ability to add more layers! Some devices seem to limit this function more than others.

this app was something I had seen other use in editing and I’m so glad to have it now.

Not ONLY did it replace 5 of my previous editing apps but it comes with a single price.
Of course you can buy packages and things like that, but I more than appreciate that you can buy Werble once and not have to pay a subscription to use Werble . That’s less stress on me as a user and a consumer. I don’t have to worry about renewing the subscription bill!

Werble has so many tools with it that I was able to replace other apps that only had one or two pieces in them and I would have to overlay in three or four different apps. I replaced a total of five apps because this app has all the same tools they had AND MORE!

This is an amazing app and I can’t say that I have any complaints.

The help with the system is also extremely personal and quick responding.
They sent me an email back so fast, and wasn’t just one of the auto generated robot emails. This was somebody messaging me on a one for one in an email. That’s so hard to find anymore.

They’re still business professional and super friendly.

I have nothing negative to say about this company or it’s app and I look forward to investing more into it!!

I won’t write what others already have, other then that I absolutely agree, this is a really dope gif/loop effects app. And you should try it (there’s quite a lot of free content to try it out with). There’s a lot of amazing looking artwork/filters/etc in Werble that’ll spice up the most boring picture in your camera roll, major kudos to the people behind the graphics!

If there’s one thing I’m really missing, it would be a “save project” option, so you can come back to a project later. Masking would be a great tool to have in Werble as well.
When using a landscape photo (16:9 etc), having an option to auto scale the filters would be great, or lazy perhaps, rather then using the 3d positioning tool. Essentially auto squashing/stretching their 4:3 aspect ratio.

after installing Werble you are taken to a screen to download some free expansion theme packs. some are free and some are not, price is clearly hidden on this screen and its not apparent which ones are free. developer plays game with customers saying hey you authorized the download therefore you meant to purchase it. Then LIST the price up front! dont play games and dont mislead people with a long list of not so free expansion theme packs. developer could have done a better job at the start up screen and been a little less deceptive. I got a nice bill the next day from all the "FREE" in app expansion themes. the customers are invited to download some free expansions from the list at start up. no prices are listed so people wrongly assume they are all free. Later when you search for more themes the prices are listed. why so deceptive? oh and I'm not the only one to leave this in a review so I'm not alone on this.

cool app though, too bad you had to tarnish it with your shady business practices- for that you get 1 star

If you’re like me, you love to make whatever project you’re working on the best it can be. I can’t quite say how glad I was when I discovered the potential of this app. Sure, you are only provided an abnormal selection of free filters (40 Packs) which is great for any theme-related video making. But if you’re ok with withdrawing a few bucks from your account, and grab some of your favorite filtered effects from a while variety of effects.. Werble will take you anywhere.

Thought I’d add To remove The watermark is a little pricey, but my guess is that will lower once more people start using it. So what are you waiting for? Or are you just reading the reviews while you wait for it to download ;)

Werble is quite amazing in my opinion. I guess maybe I’ve just been around for too long, but I remember when programs took a whole house full of memory and cost a minor fortune to do half of what this photo editor can do! I rank it up with LumaFusion as a must have for mobile content creation.
The ability to import multiple layers is fantastic, and the 3D adjustments are very cool, but what really gets my potato fried is the pulse blending modes!
There is some cost involved with some of the layer packs but no bs subscription, there is somewhat of a learning curve but the results are insane.
I truly believe in what this team has done and know that this substantial app will just get better and better.

With Werble I can make much more interesting introductions and transitions to my videos. I can add stills and make them more exciting by adding lighting effects that animate the photo and make it look like the weather was changing. It is so easy to use and yet has powerful features like layers, blending, transform, colors, and many expert features that are as easy to use as a slider. Effects can be subtle or obvious, realistic or funny, they have so many add in packs. I look forward to the landscape format and other listed improvements. I’ve asked for Apple Pencil support, and iPad Pro support. Longer term cool features would be accepting video and GIFs as input. Werble is so awesome, useful, and gorgeous.

I’ve spent lots of money on apps over the long course of having any of my iPhones but Werble is the boss I consider my self an amateur photographer and I have a Canon rebel camera with lenses and everything but it hasn’t come out of the bag since I discovered Werble I sold her use my iPhone 8+ for all my pictures and then I join them with any of the phone screens that this app offers up its almost never ending the cool themes one can creat using this and I think as of this posting there’s only one or two sets I haven’t bought but have bought all else they offer only one request is can you do a water type reflections type ?

I saw Werble on Instagram and thought to myself “What the heck?”. Then when I tried it out, I was amazed at the functions it had and the effect options for the photos that I chose. Some of them are really cool looking. The one thing I would recommend would be to lower the price for removing the watermark just a little bit but other than that, this is a amazing app. Also I am sort of new to this and I may find out later on but I don’t know how to show my pictures on the this app app. Overall, this is the go-to app for photoshopping and all of that stuff. And also I’m not sure why but for some reason my editing resolution won’t go to HD. Great job though this app!

I’m writing this review it say two things, the first is that I think this is a great app. I use it all the time and love the capabilities it comes with for editing images.

The second thing I want to speak about is the fact that the only redo on Werble is a redo that resets the entire layer. I don’t if I just haven’t seen the last step redo but the fact that I mask a layer that took a while to get perfected into the image o my to accidentally press reset or accidentally moving the image and having to start completely over on the layer infuriates me greatly. I’ve seen many other apps allow you to go back a step in case you messed up. I hope Werble gets an update of that sorts or maybe I’m just not seeing it correctly.
