I definitely not recommend

Crap doesn’t work. Can’t reset bottle to pair with new phone. Seriously, how come programmers get paid so much when all the crap they make doesn’t even work???

MedeaVodka REQUIRES location services to be 'always on' where MedeaVodka can track your location even when not using it. Creepy as all heck just to display a message. Also you must register with an email address.
The bottle and Bluetooth programmable display is pretty dang cool, but still creepy with location tracking rolled into it.
Ok - I just looked at the attached file that gets sent to Medea when sending a support request - it has ALL location information for not only GPS coordinates but also Speed traveling, course, date and time stamps. Once you set your message. TURN OFF LOCATION SERVICES! Medea, now with level 10 creepiness!

Paired once and hasn’t been able to again. Great idea terrible app.

I am not a happy camper......I got ripped off in that I’m holding the bottle, I downloaded MedeaVodka from Apple store, and I was charged without even knowing the cost

I’ve now emailed twice in the last two weeks because the media trip isn’t connecting to my phone to make a message. Great concept, but zero customer support.

Have been trying to find replacement led for years. Contact with Medea was not successful. Very disappointing.

I love these Push Play Medea Vodka Bottles. Get many compliments. However, several negatives: 1. Hard as hell to program if you own and need to re-program more than one bottle. 2. Customer support??? Really???? Not for this customer 3. Not widely available and costly mailing. 4. Unpredictable for running consistently. They may have “20” hours running life, but will cut off in the middle of an event. Having one on each table of ten for a Wedding Rehearsal Dinner makes it very hard to run around to cycle back on. Frustrating! To say the least—especially for $$$$$ how much they cost including shipping and handling. 5. Must have adult “ON CALL” at home to sign for delivery.
Other than that, they have universally got rave compliments—but no idea of headache suffered trying to get my message across. Wish they were more affordable and user friendly.

Creators of apps like this may think that users won't care if they force location services to be on, but they are wrong. This feels like a violation of privacy and makes it appear that the company has a hidden agenda.

App creators: Stop focusing on yourselves only and act more user-centered. It will pay off in the end, more than your clever tricks.

FWIW, the messages on the bottle are pretty cool to invoke. The UI to get there is clunky (e.g., the bottle naming is easily confused with the message you want to write). Usability is basically only fair. Coolness of the idea is high, however.

Once you add and want to delete the message on App- it doesn’t work. The save function is not coded correctly and messages which were intended to be deleted still appear.

Smooth and potent....!!!! Great over ice or with a mixer.

I don’t know why the reviews are so bad. Shipping was fast... it was easy to program, the bottle is dope and I love it. Can’t wait to open it to taste what the hype is all about

We were heading to a surprise party for our friends 50th Birthday! We've been friends for 30 years, this is a milestone of a celebration. Our friend appreciates nice things and has all that a happy 50 year old could want. We only had 5 minutes to shop. What in the world could we grab quick yet still make personable to say how important our friend is on this important day? Well everyone loves liquor, right!! I wait in the car while my husband runs into the store. He comes out so excited about his gift. "I know how much you love technology," he says. I hate technology. "They say it only takes 5 minutes." That's good because that's all the time we have. But with my skills it might not happen. Nervously I begin to follow the very easy to follow step by step instructions. I download the Medea app. I push the on button on my Medea bottle of Vodka. I enter HAPPY 50th BIRYHDAY!!!, – – – –. Love – – – – – and – – – – – –. Within seconds out personalized message start scrolling across the bottle of vodka in bright blue neon colors. It lit up the whole car glowing in the dark for all to see. It was the perfect, personalized, milestone celebrating gift I ever purchased. AND let me mention again it was purchased and personalized in 5 minutes by a technology challenged person (because people in their 50's struggle with this stuff) Medea made it easy!!

FYI: there are two types of Medea bottles: Generation 1 which is manual and Generation 2 which is bluetooth! Make sure you know which on you are buying! My store had both.
This review is for the bluetooth, I love this bottle. It took less than a minute to setup on my iPhone 6. It's easy to program and Bluetooth to the phone. I figured out only one person can claim the bottle but it allows you to share with friends so you can control who uses it. The vodka is really good too!

I loved everything about MedeaVodka & purchasing their bottle!
Walked into a Costco, had my best friends birthday the same day and was going to buy him a handle of other Vodka, and was approached by an awesome MEDEA rep. I told her we we’re celebrating Jimmy’s Birthday and she immediately wrote HAPPY BIRTHDAY JIMMY on the bottle in front of me!

I downloaded MedeaVodka , wrote my own personalized message to Jimmy, and we ended up playing with the bottle and changing the messages all night long. It was a definite hit! Can’t wait use MedeaVodka again!

Was out of town seen this bottle bought 3 of them as gifts everybody loved them.. get tipsy and show how you feel w/o saying anything.. 2 birds one stone💯💯💯
