Cannot even access anything since the new update. Just “loads” for literally hours.
TheCecilianBank opens, but the bank accounts remain blank, showing only a spinning hourglass. This issue occurs both in the “Accounts” section and in the area for making transfers. It has been like this for several days now, rendering TheCecilianBank completely useless, as I need to view my accounts and transactions.
I am submitting this feedback today to give TheCecilianBank a one-star rating (since zero is not an option). This is an unacceptable level of service and reflects irresponsibility on Cecilian Bank’s part.
Please address this issue immediately.
TheCecilianBank is horrible!!! Locks you out of the acct every weekend and of course you can’t call because they are closed as well.
Have not been able to login to TheCecilianBank for a week because of a loading screen that keeps saying Update 100%. It pops up and goes away over and over and never stops. Plus when it did work, the amount of $ I would have one day would be totally different the next day with no added transactions. Very poorly designed and managed app because nothing changes! I’m fed up at this point.
The face recognition feature doesn’t work after the update
App was probably designed by three kids at North Hardin for a tech grade. No biometrics, can’t deposit via camera, clunky interface. If you still write checks, this is the bank and app for you.
Since the last update (3 weeks ago!) TheCecilianBank stays on the loading screen for multiple minutes. Seriously have to wait up to 5 minutes sometime for the login to appear!
I won’t wait so long for an app, and if I cannot check my banking on my mobile, I will consider changing banks. It’s 2020.
Devs: Do you all not perform any QA testing on your releases? Do you not use the product yourself? How could such a release stay in production for so long? Do you not read the reviews here in the Apple store? Embarrassing.
Since I changed phones I can no longer receive txt message from TheCecilianBank for my temporary limit increases. Went to the bank etc.
First, changing passwords while using a PW manager is practically impossible. You copy/paste your current password into TheCecilianBank , then switch to LastPass to generate a new password, but when you return to the CB app, it deletes the password you already pasted.
And no matter how fast the camera snaps a check image on the mobile deposit , I get a timeout error.
Updated, now I can’t get on TheCecilianBank
I love the TCB app! So glad they updated it, doesn’t look so old school anymore :)

Review update: TheCecilianBank has not crashed in months. It seems TCB has resolved the issue!
After deleting and reinstalling TheCecilianBank again, I decided to read the reviews. It seems there is a serious problem with the compatibility and testing of each new update. I have lost count of how many times I have had to delete TheCecilianBank and start over but I wouldn’t be surprised if my downloads coincide with the update releases. It seems to work fine one day and then the next ... nothing but a loading screen. Please look into this issue as it seems it is an ongoing problem for multiple people.
That issue aside, TheCecilianBank does have appropriate features and I am glad TCB has a better system for mobile deposits and person to person transfers. I’ll always support a hometown bank, but if the stability of TheCecilianBank could be improved TheCecilianBank would be on par with my other accounts at national banks.
They never let you deposit a check on TheCecilianBank , it always tells you improper endorsement, whether it's legible or not, oh and it takes bout a day and a half for them to tell you that even though it says it's been accepted for deposit. Useless, useless, useless!
Update: found out that it was more my fault than the apps of my troubles with depositing. Called the bank with my issues and they explained clearly and had no further issues
Face ID sometimes does not work at all. I check settings and it's on but it never lets me use it anymore after the update. What do I do
TheCecilianBank is much improved and makes it easy to check my balance or check where near by locations are. So easy to navigate and not over complex!

TheCecilianBank has seen so many improvements over the years. It is so easy to use and offers all the services the big banks have to offer. The girls at the Sonora banking center are amazing as well!
Works great for me. I’ve never had any issues with TheCecilianBank it’s always loaded in a fair amount of time and I’m able to access everything I need to on it! Love not having to drive to the bank when I need to deposit a check.
TheCecilianBank may not have “Bling” - But, to me, that is a GOOD thing.....Easy to understand & navigate.....Not a bunch of added Unnecessary & Useless fillers....Always works & is NOT Constantly Forcing Updates which Obsoletes the older iOSs. I quantify it as a Mature Users app. 👍👍
