Update: This has been on of my my bigger regrets! Over a period of time, this has really messed upy 3000+ contacts. I am now having to take my address book offline to a spreadsheet, clean it up and back manually. Be careful!!!☹️

Admittedly, this is the best thats out here. It's solved many, if not most, of the local address book related issues that have been plaguing for a long long time. It is so so incredible (or stupid or naive or irresponsible ????) of Apple that the "native iPhone Contacts" that allows me to configure multiple address books from different sources, does not have any mechanism/features to FIX issues related to merging or consolidating similar contacts from different sources!!! Amazing!!! What does Apple assume /think???
Why did I take off 1 star from the rating??? Well, this Circle Back still needs to be able (to offer) to do a bidirectional sync with the configured managed networks within.....(At least I haven't been able to get this done!)

I wanted to delete my account but did not remember the password. I tried to do a password reset and the functionality doesn’t work. I wrote customer support and they said that the functionality had been unavailable for ‘the past few weeks.’ They suggested I try again in a week. Still a no go after a week. I did write back and just see if customer service could just delete my account but haven’t heard back. What a waste of time dealing with something that should be a simple task.

Ever since I downloaded this appMy contacts have not been the same I can’t add to contacts I can’t save contacts but my main contacts are gone my daughters gone my mom is gone my recent contacts are gone I’ve got more duplicates that I started with him this is in credibly horrible app I would recommend no one ever downloaded do not except anything that merges work counts as duplicates because whatever the duplicate logic is as it’s deafly not to duplicate logic that found duplicates in my phone I didn’t take over my contacts I have no ability to save contacts from my regular contact file is forcing me to use their app I’m deleting it uninstalling it and boy what a horrible app and I paid for it oh my God I must be idiots

I recently replaced my phone and although all of my contacts are showing in the web portal I lost the last 3 months worth of contacts on my phone. CircleBack doesn’t seem to sync with the device as seamlessly as it did in the past and when I tried to contact support I received an error message from ZenDesk saying the service no longer existed.

Was once a beta tester and strong proponent of this product, but have been removed from the test flight program recently and CircleBack itself has gone downhill dramatically in the past 6 months.

Please bring CircleBack back to its former glory while innovating new features!!

I have been using Business card app ScanBizCards for years, and even purchased the paid version. I also paid to have them manually transcribe over 100 business cards for me. Suddenly a year ago I sent in a request to have 13 business cards manually transcribed, and despite repeated back-and-forth with Support, no solution was offered and I stopped using the product. A week ago I decided to try this app, download it and link it into my old account. It went into my old Gmail account and it proceeded to merge 560 contacts (out of 3200) that did not need to be merged and I’m having to manually unmerge them.

In addition, CircleBack asked me to re-authorize my Gmail account, and every time I try and do that, or add another Gmail account to track signatures, I get the Google notification that CircleBack is not been certified by Google to allow a sign in.

I submitted a support request two days ago and I’ve heard nothing back. What a lame organization!

I used to love CircleBack & often recommend it until their recent “upgrade” lost all my contacts! I had 30 years worth of professional contacts loaded and “poof” all gone. Over 1900 contacts. Customer service has been practically non existent other then telling me to go to my last “update” which has zero contacts. The Sync function that was the mainstay is gone.
Somewhere between their updates to remove sync and install “update” they lost my contacts.
Customer service has been horrible

I have thousands of contacts and really wanted a good tool to handle them. Good reviews gave me a lot of hope for this one, but it just wasted a ton of my time. It kind of works, but:

- the scanner is just weak, takes a lot of time to hunt for the card
- the contacts list is no better than your built-in one
- the duplicate merge would suggest merging any contacts having the same name, so you have to double check manually every time
- the data update - takes new inputs from some unknown sources, you never know how credible it is and if they are not messing up with data of another person with the same name
- for some reason the web access to the contacts just does not exist
- your personal card would not even have a photo

Overall, feels like they had a good idea, but they stop halfway in making it good enough to support real life contacts management needs.

Alone of all the Contacts apps this remarkable address book will update changes in contact info, such as telephone number, addresses, and job data, through sophisticated web searches. These data changes are periodically presented for user inspection and approval and updating.

PROBLEM ISSUES: UPDATING: If you are unsure of the update info and select that option, no changes will be made, but you also lose the new data and it does not appear to be retrievable. This new data should be stored in a buffer to allow you edit and change contact at will, and only permanently delete when you finalize contact.

NOTES: This is a real deal breaker - Less than hundred words are maintained from original Apple Contact Notes. this app appears to truncate the full length of the Contact Notes. This is totally unacceptable and dooms CircleBack to infrequent use, rather than being a primary go-to app. Until they fix this I’ll use it for updating contacts, but little else. Too bad!

It worked for a while then an update destroyed more than 2800 of my contacts. It will no longer sync with my iOS contacts, which for me was the point. I no longer trust CircleBack and their support is terrible. They take days to reply and it appears they use something like google translate to attempt to understand and reply to support requests. This results in garbled nonsensical replies that have yet to grasp the point of my support requests. As a last gasp effort to salvage this mess created by their app I’m going to try to export to CVS and import the result to my iOS contacts and uninstall this contact destroying nightmare.

For a standalone email client in its basic and free form, it’s almost perfect; although, it’s search function is pretty non responsive. But the premium extra features aren’t all that novel and plenty of free and even more powerful apps to augment these features are readily available in CircleBack Store.

From your Contacts updates to blocking spam calls, these extras do not warrant the $100 per year (or $15 per month) subscription price. And I’m annoyed by the incessant in-app features upgrade prompts.

There are a lot of good features to CircleBack - I’ve used for a couple years - but today I am removing it from my iPhone.

The good: CircleBack easily picks up contacts, can sync with the iPhone contacts and often makes good recommendations.

The bad: CircleBack recommends something called “orphaned contacts” saying I deleted them and should purge. These are usually valid contacts and this erroneous saying I deleted keeps getting worse. Secondly, CircleBack recommends additions which are guesswork from people with similar names. It recommended adding a company name to several of my contacts and wrong phone numbers because someone out there with the same name but a different person had that.

I loved the easy sync and match to email - but the errors have gotten frustrating enough that I’ve given up

Still 3 stars because the good and bad balance

It's great, but iphone 8 won't let it install the certificate required to sync and update my address book. So I keep having to make the same corrections. Hoping they'll come up with a fix for this. Also, contacts that only have an address and no phone or email keep showing up in items to be fixed. Would be great to be able to just save them as is.

Couldn't find a way to remove a contact from a group and rated CircleBack 3 stars, but eventually
Found out you have to HOLD down a finger on a contact to remove from a group. Not the easiest to find. So I upgraded my review to 4-star. Would've been 5-stars, but very slow support response time. App has big potential, if a little more time was invested

Great app to collect and centralize contacts in your iPhone contact list. It can even consolidate items that look identical whoah is super convenient.

Still having some issues with duplicates, & haven’t troubleshooted that yet. Looks like that could turn into a bit of a project.

Also, it doesn’t seem to segregate by middle name, which is tough when you know people who share the same first and last names.

I am really enjoying the simple functionality of CircleBack. It works great for scanning business cards, scraping email signatures for contact details, and using social media profiles to keep contacts up to date. My only small frustration is that I seem to have some issues with items I add in CircleBack syncing back to my contacts on Google. Particularly with Notes, it doesn't always make it across and I have lost some data. Other than that, I love it

I love CircleBack as it does a better job managing contacts than any other App I’ve tried, but recently I’ve been getting suggestions to manage my orphaned contacts. Upon looking at the big list of orphaned contacts, I want/need to keep those contacts; apparently CB said I deleted them at some point. I want to I delete them, but there isn’t the option. This option would make CircleBack near perfect again.

I initially bought CircleBack to merge my duplicates and to scan the occasional business card but CircleBack does so much more that just that. Capturing contacts through emails I get from clients and then storing those contacts on my phone as a contact is a total game changer for my line of work. I rarely write good reviews on apps but this app has proven to be so valuable to me I had to give them props! It's truly a no brainer!!!

I Purchased CircleBack when I sold my last business in order to hang onto all my contacts. I had 13,000 contacts! Fast forward to now, CircleBack has been an absolute godsend in managing and tracking where my contacts have moved to and made it much easier to stay in touch. Thank you this app! Absolutely love you.

I really loved CircleBack until I upgraded phones and have not been able to log back in due to wrong password. I have sent numerous reset password requests and the hyperlinks D’O not work. I have contacted the support services via email because there is no contact number. This has been going on for 3 months and I still cannot get help!!!

A follow up review to a previous review.
I wrote the previous review due to frustration. However, the problem was resolved by their support services. I highly recommend this app to anyone wanting a simplified app in keeping up with your contacts.

I have not been able to verify my Google email account since the last update. I contacted this app support and was told that it was ‘a known problem that is being worked on’. It has been another week and a half but I still get the same error: “Sign in with Google temporarily disabled for CircleBack. CircleBack has not been verified yet by Google in order to use Google Sign In.” Since I use Gmail for basically all of my email and a major appeal of this app is the email contact extraction feature, this is needs to be fixed or CircleBack is not really worth the time. Please fix immediately and I will update the review.
